AJ Lee has always had everything she could ever want in her life. She's always had the finer things in life. She got her first car when she was 14 (a second one when she was 17), her sweet sixteen was more of a banquet than a party, and she didn't have to pay a dime to go to college. All she really wants, though, is comics.

Phil Brooks is new to town and soon finds a job at the local comic book store. When a short, brown-haired girl walks in wearing designer clothes, he's instantly confused.

Phil's tattoos turn AJ off, while AJ's fancy and expensive lifestyle turns Phil off. When Phil strikes up a conversation with her one day at the store, they realize they actually have more in common than they thought.

They quickly find out that Phil doesn't fit in with AJ's family, and AJ couldn't be farther from different from Phil's friends.

Then, AJ realizes that all she really wants in life are comics and Phil Brooks.

This story would be AU.  Also, I couldn't figure out a way to include it in the description, but AJ doesn't like being rich.  That's why all she really wants is comics, because she prefers the simpler things in life.  Phil would wrongly judge her at first, but after they talk, he realizes she's just like him in a lot of ways.

  It's also named after the song The Edge of Tonight by All Time Low, but if you come up with a better name, you can change it.
