SUMMARY: my parents got a divorce when I was around 12 years old. I lived with my mom till I was 16. That's when I got the phone call that my moms car swerved into a lake. And the seatbelt, the one thing that was suppose to keep you safe-- killed her.

And the dad I hadn't seen in 4 years comes to get me, but he returns with another wife and daughter that is around 2 years old. He has another family...

I try to send a message to my moms phone explaining my predicament.

He forgot about us then comes back all because you left! Why couldn't you stay!

Instantly a message popped on my screen, 'Message failed to send'

I was stupid and for two years I asked questions to a dead phone, until a reply came...

This sounds so cool! I'm so excited for who ever decides to write this! I went on a mission trip with my church... And our home owner told us that's how her husband died. So I put a twist on the story.
