those who have powers were despised by the majority of the world, they usually go undercover, pretending that theyre just normal humans to blend in, and min yoongi here is one of them. but then he met jimin (a human) and his whole life changes before his eyes (in a good way)

as a "prequel" to this is like: yoongi accidentally set something on fire with his barehands and jimin was there to witnessed him. yoongi was terrified at first but jimin said it was fine and he could keep a secret for yoongi — from then on they grew a tight bond, which quickly turns into something more. yoongi knew it was dangerous, but he would risk anything to make jimin happy.
unfortunately, the time they had together didnt last long and yoongi's worst nightmare came true, he got exposed as an abnormal by someone and the humans tried to hunt him down, they found his home and burnt it but little did they know jimin was still in there.
when yoongi came back, he realized that he was too late. jimin was all that he has left and now hes gone.

yoongi's whole world fell apart — thats when at the end he indulged himself in the flames that he created, yoongi couldnt stand this cruel world anymore so he decided to come back home, come back to jimin.
