Think of a series you don't enjoy. Does it have an interesting premise?

Take a series with an interesting premise that wasn't handled well, and write an AU that changes what you don't like.

For example, the premise of the CW's The 100 is very interesting. However, many of the decisions made by the main characters are questionable at best. An AU could be written where the main characters are slower to make their decisions and think through their actions. This would make a more complex story that I, personally, would find more enjoyable.

Guiding Questions:
What is the initial premise of the story? Who are the main characters? What are the main themes of the story? What specifically made you dislike or not enjoy the original story? How can that be changed to make a stronger and more enjoyable story experience?
