EVEN MORE SWAPFELL

"Damn girl! Stealing my flowers again! Back off, brat!" Faer yelled from where she stood in the door frame to the entrance of her house, shaking her fist in the air.

"What girl?" Papyrus asked from behind her, glancing over the cloak covered woman's shoulder towards a small garden with withered flowers and dead plants, unkempt and malnourished. Weeds crept along the wooden border of the plotted area, the knots that were worn into it were cracked and split with age.

"The little monster! She keeps taking my flowers!" Faer stomped her foot against the porch floor, throwing her hands about her in a childish manner. Papyrus sighed and adjusted his hood over his skull before setting a hand on the old warrior's shoulder.

"Just calm down, I'll talk to her." He said in a reassuring voice, relieved when Faer seemed to lose all her pent up anger, a smile in her voice and on her lips as she looked up to him.

"That would be just sweet of you, dear!" She said as she stepped out of the skeleton's way, gesturing to a particular area in the garden where she was the young girl plucking the dead flowers from the dirt.

Papyrus nodded and stepped off the porch, heading over to the direction he had been sent in. He stopped where he felt was about right and knelt down, facing up as if he were actually speaking to an invisible child in front of him, and nod to his mother's deranged hallucination.

"Uh, excuse me, little missy." He asked tentavily, his gaze shifting back towards Faer, her arms crossed as she huffed underneath her hood. He tried his best to imagine what she was seeing based off of her strange behavior, and locked his hands s on a tree ahead, though his vision focused as if something was in front of him.

"Why are you taking this lady's flowers?" He asked gently, speaking low and quiet, envoking a smile in Faer's chapped lips. He stayed silent until he nodded as if in understanding, chuckling softly.

(Maybe have a moment were Faer takes on the personality of the child.. Like:
"Oh, sorry to be a bother, but I just needed some flowers for my tea party!" Faer said sweetly, folding her hands behind her back and lowering her head shyly, scuffing her foot on the wooden porch.)

"Sounds like she just wants to have a tea party, mom." Papyrus called over to Faer who straightened, a small flicker of red and orange beneath her cloak proving she had perked at that.

"Oh? Why didn't you say so?! I'll get some tea now!" The skeleton rolled his eyes playfull as the woman disappeared into the shadows of the doorway, listening to her bumble about and talk to herself as she got what she needed.

After a couple of minutes, she returned with a small woven basket of flowers, shambling down the steps and toward Papyrus. She giggled and placed the offering on the border of the garden, curtseying and smiling politely.

"There you are, my sweet! I hope you enjoy them!" Faer said sweetly, smiling in the same direction that Papyrus had been looking. He got a glimpse of what was in the basket and was a bit taken aback to see lucious golden petals, seeming to emit their own faint glow in the mid-day light.

"Mom, aren't those-" He was cut off by a soft "shush" from Faer, still smiling. He looked at her and wondered why she would give those flowers to any monster, living or non-existent. He watched her wave, presumably to the child leaving. He shook his head a little with a sigh, moving to look back down at the basket, only becoming more puzzled by the lack there of.

It was gone. Not a single trace as to where it could have gone except for small inprints in the dirt, resembling the shape of ballerina shoes.

"What a nice girl.." Faer commented as she turned away, shambling back towards the house. Papyrus sat in silence, trying to comprehend the turn of events before giving up and clearing his mind of his troubled thoughts.

"I'll never understand you, Faer.. Hey, hold on!" He called out after the receding form of the insane woman, going after her and once again dipping into the strange illusions of her wonderland.
