Breaking at the seams
Now thanks to the rather dramatic entrance of Jeff and Cyn, Clocky took a hold of the opportunity to drag Toby off so that she could finally try and finish that conversation she tried having with him back at the factory. With what's happened the past two days it was hard to say anything but she was running out of time.
Together they stood in a cupboard, cleaning supplies spilling off the shelves that were stationed there, bottles empty and full scattered the floor, mops and brooms of varying sides leaning up against the walls or in their buckets. All of this providing to be an incredibly hazrdous environment for even a conversation as the two of them tried to avoid tripping up on anything or knocking anything over.
Clocky stared straight at Toby, her lip quivering as she thought more on what she had to say- on what she was going to do. She shifted in her aviator jacket, sweeping her hair out of her face as she attempted to prepare herself for this moment.
"Clocky, what's wrong? Why are we here?" Questioned Toby, evidently puzzled.
Closing her one good eye, Clocky drew in a breath trying to arrange the words in her mind.
"Toby..." She started off softly, taking her time, "I'm so, so sorry."
"Sorry for what? The mission? Clocky you don't need to be sorry about that, I'll go with you."
All she could do was just look at him, her chest hurting. Of course he wouldn't make it easy, he never does.
"You... You can't come with me. Toby I've told you this." She said quietly.
"But why not? I'm Slendy's proxy! I'm supposed to go on missions not you."
"That's why you can't come with me Toby." She said. "You need to stay here."
He scrunched up his face in pure confusion and frustration, "but why?"
"Because..." She said defeatedly. "That's Slendy's orders."
"Well I haven't heard of any orders so I'm coming."
She bit her lip, trying to swallow her feelings, to get some semblence of control over herself but as she talked she knew she failed.
"Well I guess I'm breaking up with you then." She said with shaky voice.
He felt his blood freezing over, his heart refusing to beat any longer as the world around him started to crumble into pieces. She's leaving him? After everything they've been through, after all the memories they've shared and created, she... Was leaving him?
"Wh- what?" He stuttered, his voice so soft and delicate that it made Clocky's heart break even further. She wished that it didn't have to be like this, she wished that she could stay with him for longer. But one just doesn't back out from an order that was made by Slendy. Besides... If she does this right then she'll keep them all safe, she'll be able to keep Toby safe.
"I'm so, so, so sorry Toby. I didn't want things to be this way..." She said, tears now streaming freely down her face. "But I have to go now... Slenderman is getting impatient." And with that she opened the cupboard door and walked out, leaving behind a confused and heartbroken Toby behind.
Who knows, maybe she will get back to him.

Steady beeps of the heart monitor pierced through the silence of the infirmary. In the sanctuary of beds Cyn laid in one, her chest steadily rising and falling with each breath she takes. Stitches replaced the cuts that were on her arms, her right fist all bandaged up making it appear that she was wearing a glove. She shifted onto her side, the weight she was putting on some of her injuries making her grunt. Yet her eyes still remained to be close, keeping her trapped in the plethora of memories that continued to hit her one after the other.
She gritted her teeth, sweat running down the side of her forehead as she tried to contain the screams of anger from escaping her. Needing to drag herself out of the nightmare her eyes snap open, her body now tensed.
Slowly she sat herself up, running a hand through her fringe as she looked around the area, seeing the windows aligning the opposite wall. She tore her gaze away from them and over to the beds and then the bandages and stitches that covered her body. The sight of all these made her huffed, frustrated that she was put in this particular position.
Someone most likely found her and whoever did brought her to EJ, unless of course it was EJ himself but she figured he didn't have enough guts to enter her room. Still, someone found her and probably told the whole mansion about the state she had been and the idea of that was enough to make her distressed. She didn't need this sort of attention.
"You're up."
Her head jerked up to see the doctor standing before her, a cup of steaming tea in his hand. He set it on the bedside table, pulling up a near by chair to sit on. Cyn just simply stared at him, waiting for him to talk. She wasn't in the mood.
"Brought you some tea."
"I see that." She said, crossing her arms. "Why?"
"Well tea has a-"
"I'm not talking about the tea EJ." She said a bit sternly then she intended. "Why did you stitch these up? Why am I here?"
He seemed to be a bit confused and taken aback by the questions, however he answered them just as well.
"You're here because Jeff found you cold and nearly dead, I stitch the wounds up to stop you from bleeding and to prevent further infection. I stitch them up to save you Cyn."
She looked down at the bed sheets when he said that, a frown being carved into her face as she replied.
"But I don't need help. I can look after myself." She muttered. "I do know some first aid, you know."
"That's not the point Cyn. We know you can look after yourself, but we want to help you. Cyn you're depressed, all these scars and cuts that you have are proof of that!"
She gritted her teeth, grinding them in frustration. She looked up again staring at EJ right in the sockets of his mask.
"I am not depressed." She snapped, shaking slightly. "I'm perfectly fine! And even if I wasn't I don't need any help nor do I want it! I've been looking after myself for the past years of my life, I can continue doing so."
"Cyn, do you realize how close you were-"
"To hell with that EJ! I don't give a flying fuck!" She screeched, getting out of the bed, yanking the cord that was keeping her close to the heart monitor. "Just leave me the fuck alone."
As soon as she spat those words out she stormed out of the infirmary, pushing both the doors open as she walked down the hallway, to where she had no particular idea just somewhere where she could be at peace. But a voice and it's words made her stopped.
"Smart move." Said Jeff from several feet behind her. "Now EJ is most definitely not going to breathe down your neck about it."
"Oh shut it Joker." She replied, her tone sounding dark as she was greeted with yet another flash back from the past. The ghost of her mother standing there, smiling at her.
God damn it, what did that winged demon even do to her with that memory?
A few moments of silence past between them, silence that was making Cyn believe this encounter was over.
"You know... You need to stop being so fucking uptight." Murmured Jeff, "just let your walls down for once."
Her body tensed, she bit her lip so hard trying to not let a cry sound out. With those words, her pride being tainted and the constant flash of memories it was getting harder and harder for her to uphold this tough armor she has.
"Cyn, believe it or not we care about you too. Stop neglecting us, you're not alone here."
"Alone?" She asked, finding it hard to breath with each passing second, finding it hard to keep everything together.
"You have Ben, Neon, Bree, LJ, Toby, Clocky, Masky, Hoodie, EJ, Slendy, DL, Puppet, Dina, Helen, Zero heck even more." He paused thinking of what he was going to say next. "And... I guess me if you need it."
She felt herself beginning to shake, her mind being thrown into a sea of emotions, thoughts and the past. No.. Lies, lies, lies. All of it. If there was one thing she learnt from her past it was not to trust anyone, someone will eventually stab you in the back and besides everyone in this world is so selfish only thinking of their own desires. And with everything that Jeff was saying... It was fake, there was no other explanation. He probably got dared or something, the actual idea of her own rival saying this to her was very out of the ordinary.
Her mother being here right now was proof of all of this. Don't trust anyone. You can't trust anyone.
Footsteps sounded behind her, Jeff walking up from behind her. As he walked past he pushed a cup of coffee into her hands, making her look at the brown steaming liquid.
"I know you hate tea." Was all he said as he just causally walked off, hands in pockets and all.
And dear Ashley Scarlett Cobra was left standing there, her body shaking. her mind in complete disarray with a cup of coffee in hand.
