"Alright, that's the camp."

Doug looked at the silhouetted tents sitting in the distance with everyone wandering around them and someone up front, guarding it. "Thanks."

Breeze nodded. "B-be careful...th-they're mean..."

"I can handle it." Doug growled, cracking his knuckles.  "I survived a fight with a group of literally bloodthirsty vampires once."

Breeze gave a startled whine at the fact.  "...I-I-I don't d-doubt that..."

"Don't freak out; I won't hurt you.  As long as you don't hurt me or my family."

"I-I won't... ...g-good luck."

Doug nodded before going towards the camp while Breeze stood to watch.  Doug stopped when he noticed the one guarding the camp sniffing the air. He muttered a curse under his breath before searching for a place to hide.

He dove into a hiding spot and turned to look at the guard, who had stepped close enough to no longer be silhouetted. He wore a gray bandit's mask and white bandanna over his mouth.  He also had on a worn, brown cloak-like shirt and gray shorts.  Two pointed hyena ears were on his head, and a fluffy but thin hyena tail wagged slowly behind him.  "C'mon, c'mout, wherever you are..." he muttered with a small laugh.

Doug trembled in his hiding place and moved back a little.  He felt his courage drain out of him as the hyena neko stepped closer, letting chilling laughs escape him as he did so. 

"I know you're heeere!  If ya wanna do this the easy way, c'mon out, and I just might spare ya!  But if you dooon't, don't make me get Líder Foooosc!" he sang in a chilling voice, laughing more.  "Don't be scared!  I don't bite!  More like I can't because of this stupid bandanna... ...I just now realized how much bandanna sounds like banana.  Why didn't I notice that before?  It's so obvious now.  Ugh, quit getting distracted, Yen... you have a job to do, and you need to do it!"

Doug silently scoffed and rolled his eyes as Yen talked.  Why was he so scared?  Yen clearly wasn't very smart...

Without thinking, he went into his wolf form and lept at Yen, who yelped and dove out of the way.  "Whoa, calm down!  It was just a joke!"

Doug ignored his pleas and pounced again.  Yen swerved out of the way.  "Fine, you wanna fight?  Huh?  Do ya?  Well, I'm game!"  He went into his hyena form and pounced at the angered werewolf.

The two of them fought and scuffled for quite some time, making a loud ruckus that alerted the rest of the gang.  Half of the members encouraged the fight, while the other half hurried to try to prevent it.

The chaos was soon ended as Fosc shot a tranquilizer dart at Doug, hitting him square on the shoulder.  He yelped and whined, limping backwards away from the group as his vision blurred.  He stumbled around before collapsing and slowly closing his eyes, drifting to sleep.

Yen laughed again.  "HAAAA!  I win!  You lose!  Woop!" he chanted, but got slapped across the face by Fosc.

"You don't win.  I win." he growled.

Yen whined and nodded.  "G-got it, Fosc.  But did I do a good job...?  I-I prevented the intruder from coming in..!  I stopped him!"

"You should've come and got me before running in to take care of it yourself."

Yen's ears went back.  Fosc gave a low growl before turning to the others.

"Tie the intruder and put him with the other prisoners." he ordered.

The others obeyed, tying Doug's paws together before putting a muzzle on him and carrying him to the prisoner's tent.  Orchid immediately looked up when she heard the smugglers come in and jumped back when they tossed Doug on the ground.  She yelped and whined before cuddling up next to him, concerned.  Dessa glanced up at the two werewolves.

"You know him?" she asked.

Orchid looked at her.  "I'd recognize him anywhere...he's my older brother."

"Older brother, huh?"  She paused for a moment.  "What's he like?" she inquired.

"Well, he's really shy around others mostly, except for me and mommy and daddy, and his friends.  But he's really nice once you get to know him!  He's really brave too.  He once saved me from a group of vampires that were gonna kill me."

Dessa raised an eyebrow.  "How many were there?"

"Somewhere between five and ten."

"Wow.  Considering how hostile vampires can get when they're REALLY hungry, that's pretty impressive."

"Yeah!  I love my older brother!"

Dessa managed a small smile.  "... I bet."

Orchid barked happily.  "Do you have any siblings?"

"...not anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"... I don't wanna talk about it."

"...okay?"

The two sat in silence while Orchid snuggled up to her brother, waiting for him to wake up.
