Mirdan
Name - Mirdan
Age - 24 (000)
Gender - Male
Species - Moon-Elf
Rank Choices - Sentinel
Apperance - Mirdan is considered to be rather handsome elven male. Like his brethren, Mirdan has a rather pale almost grey skin complexion. He has some freckles scattered around the base ofh is nose and below his eyes. He has a rather angular facial shape, with stunning olive coloured eyes that reflects his mental instability. Mirdan has a rather angular and expressive face, which often displays his wide range of emotions; although e tries to keep his expression bland and boring, this often fails. He has a rather lean build, with some muscular structure; this is due to the fact that his powers require him to be mentally and physically fit (although the mentally fit part is admittedly failing). He has beautiful white, almost wavy hair that is long in the front and sort of taned in the back
Personality - It should be noted that Mirdan suffers from a chemical imbalance caused by his powers, meaning that he does admittedly have a currently undiagnosed mood or personality disorder. Mirdan suffers from extreme mood swings that an last for over a couple weeks, or in worst cases months. These mood swings usually range from intense moments of depression, to intense moments of megalomania. These moments are often cold episodes and some psychologist would theorise that Mirdan is bipolar, although this is not confirmed.
In a depressive episode, Mirdan becomes suddenly anti-social to the point that he will not go into public unless absolutely necessary. During this phase he will often forget to eat and also forgets to take care of himself, his body would slowly deteriorate underneath his own powers and lack of nourishment. He tends to be rather cold and often has trouble emphasising with others, only caring about himself and his own self-pity. Like in his megalomania phase, Mirdan is easily angered, but instead of being angered due to impulsivity, he is angered due to being easily annoyed; however, he is least likely to lash out
In a megalomaniac episode Mirdan is more active and more unstable than his depressive phase. During this phase, he becomes more impulsive, he tends to do risky things and take chances. Also during this phase, Mirdan believes he can do many things at once and usually enters into combat by himself with no help or prior thought. He often tends to be rather dramatic, taking things to an unnecessary level and even at times to a violent one. Like his depressive phase, he is easily angered but unlike his depressive phase he is prone to lashing out.
When you first meet Mirdan, he seems to be rather cold and distant, usually sticking away from groups and large social gatherings. However, if he is in a megalomaniac stage, he would tend to try and become the centre of attention, or result to unbridle pride. Despite his mental illness, you shouldn't question his intelligence, he is a considerably insightful and perspective individual; capable of seeing connections and almost any outcome that may or may not happen. Sometimes his strategic nature is faltered by his impulsivity, while bolstered by his solitude.
Powers -
~ Magnetism Manipulation - Mirdan can manipulate, generate and control any form of magnetism. Through magnetism, Mirdan can generate strong magnetic fore fields, manipulate metal. It should be noted that Mirdan's influence with magnetism is not just over metal. All forms of matter have a weak magnetic field, it is what holds an atom together. Mirdan can manipulate those magnetic fields what gives an illusion of telekinesis (Degree of focus required depends on the strength of a magnetic force around the manipulated object ). As Magnetism is second nature to Mirdan, he does not become as fatigued, but a whole day of fighting could exhaust him. The amount of objects he can affect is also limited. At one time, he can only manipulate one large object like a plane or a boat, or 20 smaller objects like nails or bullets. Diamagnetic fields can allow him to mimic a telekinetic push or pull, as well as allow him minor influence over water and fire. Geomagnetism allows him minor manipulation abilities over earth. His power over the elements does not allow him to create them, only to direct them.(Techniques: Magnetic Telekinesis [Electrical Telekinesis], Magnetic attacks, Magnetic senses and Magnetic forcefields)
~Electromagnetism Manipulation - Mirdan can also manipulate the electromagnetic force. Some types of it can leave him fatigued or even injured, for example electromagnetic radiation. Through this he can generate, manipulate and control magnetic fields. Electromagnetism is admittedly harder to control and poses the most risk in using. Through electromagnetism Mirdan can generate electricity and direct electrical currents; he an also manipulate EM electricity (electricity with a strong magnetic field).Through a combination of Magnetism and Electromagnetism manipulation, he can manipulate technology. Greater forms of Electromagnetism manipulation is rearranging molecules to create metal and manipulating various forms of other energies. This is done by pulling metallic particles from the air to create small objects, about the size of a marble. This ability is a last resort and can be used once or twice in a fight maximum.
Skills - Manipulation & Diplomacy - Engineering, Chemistry and a Physics degree - Strategy and Battle tactics - Minor skills in hand to hand combat
Abilities -
~ Magnetic Flight - By connecting himself to the magnetic fields of the earth, Mirdan is capable of flight. He can use this form of flight to travel through space. He can also repel himself off surrounding metal or surrounding magnetic fields.
~ Electricity & Heat Resistance - Mirdan has a strong magnetic field that naturally radiates from him, although this magnetic field is not as strong as a force field he can generate. Mirdan's natural magnetic field is capable of reflecting or absorbing electricity, mainly because electricity and magnetism are two sides of a coin, one cannot exist without the other.
Extra Information - Channelling too much magnetic or electromagnetic energies can leave significant problems. Magnetism is admittedly a tool easily manipulated, although items with "non-magnetic" properties may be harder to manipulate than items with significant magnetic properties like metal. Also when generating pure magnetic or electromagnetic attacks, it takes time and concentration. Using obsessive amounts of electromagnetic energy can leave Mirdan significantly tired and even sick. In worst cases, Mirdan can become either temporary paralysed or it can cause an episode to happen much quicker. Also the more unfit and unhealthy he is, the more he is easily tired and prone to physical stress due to his powers
Mirdan is also able to empower himself by directing Earth's electromagnetic field, but it may result in paralysis or a comma.
Timezone - Eastern time?
