Darkness....The first thing i saw when i was born was darkness.

I was born on a rainy day filled with thunder and lighting.

In other words it was a foul weather. My parents had told that the more I was crying the more dangerous the weather would become. The villagers where terrified. But, when they learned that I was the cause of the bad weather they wanted to use me as a sacrifice so that they could have the result they wanted, they thought of me as a problem. Unfortunately I was a nuisance yes, for everyone. Even then, my parents never stopped believing in me. Thankfully, my father was the Chief of the village and so I had gotten away from the danger. When I stopped crying the clouds had then cleared and the sun's brightness had lighten up my village. That is how we figured out that every time I laughed the weather would be calm and wonderful, whereas every time I cried or was being sad the weather would be gloomy.

Thanks to that i was able to discovered my powers; I could control the weather. Actually, to be precise, I could determine the weather, but still I couldn't control my powers yet.

My father, had brought me the best teachers in order to train and learn to control my powers as it should be that way. Because he would always say to me that if I could use them at my will then that would be so much beneficial both to me and to the village! We would have no problems with our fields any more. That would mean more food, thus a better life. As time passed on I would grow up and learn to control my powers in a way that I would be able to use them better than before, and then I saw that slowly-slowly the people star wothe people had started to love me. Either way, when I've grown up I would become the next Chief of our village. I can say that I had a pleasant childhood. I was happy and everything was great. My village loved me, and my parents to. They may had teased me a bit more but I could understand the reason they did it.

At age 13 i almost got full control of my powers.

" We need to take care of the fields sir " said one of the villagers to my father as he was bowing. "Get up, you don't have to bow dear Jones. Your request shall be accepted." as he finished his talk with Mr Jones he turns around and gave me a glance. Then I realised that it was my turn to help, and so I smiled at my father "Don't worry I will handle this." so I rose my hands up. Many clouds gathered around the village and it started raining slowly-slowly. As young Mr Jones went on his way, before he left he said "Thank you my princess. We are grateful." and so I always was able to win their love.

One day as I was passing by the villages square with my best friend I heard some random comments from two villagers." Fortunately our food supplies can last to feed the entire village for the whole winter" then a huge smile appeared at my face. I was so happy that I could help the village in such great degree. "I believe that she will become a skillful Chief,worthy of her fathers successor." added someone else and I felt their comments reaching my heart. They made me feel so wonderful.

Just like everyone I had my own best friend as I mention. His name was Simon. A kid that was mostly smiling all the time ,and wanted to make others smile to. And I can say that I did with him. He could always make me smile even at the most difficult times. He had his own incredible way of doing that.

" Why can't I fully control my powers? Why to me?" I told him one day, gathering my feet closer to my body till my knees had touched my chest. "Why, you think i have them under full control? If that's the case then either you want to make me laugh or you could tell me who said that so i can give hima visit and teach him a thing or two because he bullied you." Simon answered while gently touching me in the shoulder,winking at me afterwards. And like that he would always make me laugh. Saying silly things or being smart, but his words where always right. Everybody in the village were saying to me that Simon had great potential and was the smartest kid in the village. He would become the Captain of our army. He could have tame metal.

That is why he was one of the first swordsmen even though he was a little kid. He mainly liked to build armors and different stuff made of metal.

My next best friend is Maria. I will never forget the day i met her.

As we were at our class while the sun was shining from the outside. It was such a beautiful day that I considered it unfair to sit inside so that I could listen to a boring lesson. And so i turned around and asked Simon:

" Today I say that we should skip class. Are you in?" Immediately he looked at me with a shocking but angry look.Are you nuts? If I join you then they will think that this was my idea all along. If you go then the Chief will get angry at us and will probably punish us badly.I am not coming." I looked at him with a showily but ironic look and then i stand my tongue out to him

" Fine, I'll do it alone, I don't need you .Since you are a scaredy-cat". Promptly he looked at me and said:" I am not a scaredy-cat." he said,trying to justify his action.Then he crossed his arms over his chest. At that moment I smiled as I was thinking that It was my chance to convince him. " Then come with me to prove yourself." I said, filled with determination. " Sorry for being cautious, I don't play with fire." he answered. " Truly I was left speechless with that answer, I didn't see it coming. I thought we would come. Then I heard a voice from behind that said:" I heard something about skipping class?" then I turned around and saw a girl. To be honest, I had never noticed her before. However, when I thought that maybe she would reveal to my parents the truth and they would then punish me. So out of my inside fear I responded:" Please don't say anything to my dad. " Immediately the girl smiled and said to me:" Relax. I won't tell anybody. I just heard that you wanted company and I thought that i should come to, If you want to of course. My name is Maria " the moment I heard what she said Ι felt I was on top of the world! So I responded to her with a smile. "Of course,come."

She was a good girl and a worthy friend. I truly liked her so much. She was always kind hearted and cheerful. No one could easily make her cry or angry. I think everyone would love her personality and as a human in general.

Have I told you guys about my mother?I don't think so.I think you want to learn a thing or two about her.My mother was a woman filled with smiles. I remember how much she loved nature. It's obvious since her power was to control plants.She always takes care of them. My father had made his own garden,but it was never enough. She always took care of all flowers and trees that were on the village. That's why everyone in the village loved her and were saying to my father that he was so lucky to have found such a kindhearted woman. Ι would often see my father being jealous but he and I knew that my mother would never leave him and that she loved him with all of her heart. I always wanted to be like my mother.

In the other hand my father was the Chief of the village.He was a good man that truly loved me. But not just me, he really loved and cared about his village. He made sure everyone in the village was happy. He was the most fairly man on the village. He truly was a kindhearted ma. But he was also often strict.He would often do whatever he could to please everyone so that no one would be sad or unhappy. And to be honest he was always smiling and he liked watching my mother when she was taking care of the plants and when she was softly singing.

And now let's not forget to mention about my famous. village was located on a island, In fact, it was the only island that accepted special people, without categorizing them as monsters. Because sadly the rest of the world considered everyone who had special abilities a monster.

While my village tried to be peaceful, we couldn't make it happen. We would always clash with other regions.

At age 14 it was known that a great king had conquer an entire nation. He was well-known at the time, so everyone would slowly surrender cede to him. But, my village had the will to be free without having some king who would just give orders and nothing more, without caring about his subjects. Our village had fought against him and his followers and we were able to come victorious to all of our battles with them thanks to my fathers marvellous strategies. He was so intelligent that he could make up a tactic in just a couple of minutes.

And so we were able to counterattack and win many of our battles with the king. But none of us expected that he would do something so horrific.

As the time had come for him to speak he gets up and looks at the rest kings and with a thundering voice he said: "I today's discussion I have but one issue to emphasize

" Which of you will join me to my quest of killing all of this monsters so that the world would be back to normal?" Immediately roars had started since all the kings had started talking. After a while silence had fallen in the hall. As one of them got up he said: "We will accept to become allies for this cause." I never understood why they thought of us as monsters. Like something dangerous. Since we never ever hurted them. Having said that, I never could have imagine that the way of thinking of the people outside of my island could be really that stupid.

Suddenly though, a night of which the sky was so calm, so bright and so beautiful from its stars. But at some point unknown ships had arrived at our island.Screams of pain had broke out from the inside of our village that had made me tremble.

Immediately the weather changed and had become exactly how my emotions were. It started raining trying to put out the flames that the enemy was trying to put up at our beautiful, peaceful village. Lighting had fallen from the sky and had started destroying the enemy ships slowly-slowly. Even then, the village was full of chaos. My father had prepared his army and at the same time the departure of the children out of the island. As we were running at the area of which there were no enemy ships I could see innocent lifes being killed out of nowhere.

That destroyed my heart and made me realise the gravity of the situation that i was on. "How could I not have helped them?!" That was the thought that was taken over my mind. As we were running many kids had lost their lives by the fire that my rain couldn't put out and by many humans who were acting like wild beasts that all they cared about what themselves.My tears leaked like rain. I really wanted to find the king who caused this horror so that I could kill him.

Suddenly, soldiers had surrounded us and had stopped us from our direction."Let the children go, they're innocent! They have done nothing to you!" screamed the women of the village.

Yes, they are innocent, for now. These kids will one day become monsters like you and will threaten our race!" These words had slowly-slowly made me angry but when I felt Marias' hand touching my shoulder it made me feel more relaxed. I knew that with the wrong move we could all die. However at the time something had happened that we would never had expected. Simon had screamed, out of anger: "You people are monsters, you caused this madness without us having done anything to you!". That changed everything I had thought about him. He had become so brave suddenly. While i was incapable of even standing at my own feet. But I knew very well that the situation would get worse and that perhaps this would be the end of us. Then a soldier had screamed like a madman:" What did you say you miserable worm." had grunted a soldier with anger. "Bow before us boy, now!" Then Simon screamed out of frustration to provoke him:

"No! I will not bow under someone who doesn't have the brains to think right. I refuse to bow before ΑN ERROR OF NATURE!" Then, the soldier approached him filled with anger, unsheathing his sword. At that moment I realised the criticality of the situation and that i could lose my best friend. So I jumped in front of Simon and tried to talk as calm as I could while I was holding back my tears at the same time, something that would be considered normal since i just had reach the age of 17: "Forgive him sir, he dοesn't know what he is saying." The soldier ignored me, then he pushed me which cause me to fall on the ground. Then I witnessed the worst spectacle of my life, and so he raised his sword and stabbed Simon at his heart.I saw my best friend dying in front of my eyes. I immediately screamed and started crying. In Front of my eyes i saw the soldiers killing all of the children while I didn't know know what to do to help.

I couldn't believe in what I was seeing. I was just crying in a way that the rain got louder. A soldier came in front to me. He raised his sword to kill me. I closed my eyes but when I opened them I saw nothing but the woman who was going to take us in the ships stabbed.

"Run princess,run!" she said as loud as she could while she was slowly dying in front of my eyes. Immediately, without a wasting a second to thing I run. "Catch her, she is the princess!" said an unknown voice that heard behind me after a lot of steps.

While I was running, trying to escape I went into the woods because i believed that I would be the easiest place to lose me there and the best hiding spot If I ever need it to be.

And so I runned as fast as I could 'till I reached the coast. I was trying to not look behind me because I could trip over and that mistake could cost my life, but I had to check if they were closing in the gap between me and my chasers. Until then I reach the sea. I could hear a lot of noises behind me. I got in on one of the boats that were there and I started to row. After a while I looked behind me. There were a lot of soldiers in the coast but luckily none of them had follow me. While I was looking at my village from far away being full of flames it left me something so painful that I would never forget.

As I was thinking the fact that I was the only one who was saved from the whole village , that truly annihilated my heart completely. I was in the middle of nowhere in a boat. The idea that I lost everything, the people I loved, the place I was born, the happy and peaceful life that I had, and all of that because of that monster of a king who faced us as monsters, without having any right to take away our life, our happiness. The more I thought about it, the more painful my head got. I am afraid of what fate has in store for us.
