As Ruby's team confronted Cinder and her allies at the Aurora Stone Tower, there was a tense standoff. Cinder soon scoffed at Ruby. 

Cinder: And here I thought our Cyclonian friends would keep you occupied. 

Ruby: We've got a lot of people to spare!

Cinder: Too bad it won't do you any good. 

As Cinder said that, multiple Beowolves began approaching Ruby's team. The heroes prepared their weapons while Cinder began entering the tower.

Cinder: We have a Crystal to steal. 

With that, Cinder and her allies began entering the Tower while Ruby and her team found themselves surrounded by the Grimm.

Piper: We can't let them take the Aurora Stone!

Ruby: We won't! Follow my lead!

With that, Ruby's team began battling the Grimm. Ruby sweeps the area and began cutting down Grimm with Cresent Rose while Piper takes down a few Grimm with her Crystal Staff. Junko and Yang charge in at the remaining Grimm and beat them down. Once the Grimm were taken care of, Ruby's team regrouped. 

Junko: That was pretty crazy! Fighting those monsters must be scary!

Yang: Practice mostly. 

As Yang said that, the skies suddenly grew dark as storm clouds began forming over Terra Atmosia. 

Yang: That's not good....

Piper: They have the Aurora Stone! We have to hurry!

With that, Ruby's team began rushing inside the Tower. Meanwhile, Cinder and her allies approached the room where the Aurora Stone was being held. Without hesitation, Cinder takes the Aurora Stone. 

Mercury: Seems like a lot of trouble for a glowing rock. 

Cinder: Our Cyclonian friends say this particular Crystal holds great power. Power needed for the next stage of the plan. 

Just as Cinder says this, Ruby and the others arrived at the top of the tower. 

Ruby: Stop right there! 

Cinder: This is starting to get old. 

Piper: We're not letting you take the Aurora Stone!

Hazel: This isn't your fight. I suggest you stand down. 

Yang: Oh yeah? How about I rearrange your ugly face? 

Mercury: Real scary, blondie! Almost like the Vytal Festival!

At this point, Ruby stepped forward.

Ruby: The only way you're leaving with the Aurora Stone is through us!

Cinder: As much as I would love to kill you, I have places to be. But I won't leave you empty handed. 

As Cinder said that, a Nevermore swooped in and hovered near the Tower. Moments later, Carver jumped from the Nevermore and into the Tower with a small group of Grimm. 

Piper: Carver! 

Yang: You know this guy?

Piper: Carver was once the leader of the Red Eagles: the Sky Knights tasked with protecting Terra Atmosia until he betrayed the Sky Knights and joined the Cyclonians. 

Junko: But wasn't he in jail?

Carver: I was, until my...new allies released me. I was hoping you brats would be here. 

Cinder: I'll leave you all to get reacquainted. 

As Cinder and her allies got on the Nevermore, Ruby attempts to stop Cinder, but Carver blocks her attack with his Energy Blade, allowing the Nevermore to fly away. 

Carver: You're not going anywhere, girl! 

Ruby: How could you betray the Sky Knights?! 

Carver: I was wise enough to see which way the wind was blowing! I was hoping that brat Aerrow was here, but you'll do!

Carver then presses the attack, but Ruby was able to parry Carver's attack with Crescent Rose and kick him back. Carver then orders the Grimm to swarm Ruby's team. When one Grimm charged at Yang, Junko stepped in and grabbed the Grimm by the neck. This allowed Yang to land a charged blast from Ember Celica to the Grimm's mask, shattering it. 

Yang: Thanks for the assist, Junko!

Junko: No problem, Yang! 

As Grimm swarmed Junko and Yang, Ruby clashed against Carver. While Ruby held her own against Carver, the Cyclonian agent kept Ruby from pressing the attack. 

Carver: Is the best you got, girl? I've fought rookies with more skill than you!

Ruby: How about this? 

Ruby then fires a shot from Crescent Rose which hits Carver in the shoulder, knocking him back. Ruby seizes the opportunity and goes for an overhead strike, but Carver dodges the attack and kicks her away.

Carver: Enough of this!

Carver goes for a killing strike, but Piper steps in and smacks Carver in the face with her Crystal Staff. Ruby then charges at Carver. As Carver recovers from the attack, he prepares to kill Ruby, but Ruby uses her Petal Burst to slip past Carver. Before Carver could react, Ruby materialized behind hm and landed a strike which cuts his face.

Carver: I'll gut you for that, you little bitch!

Carver charges at Ruby, but the Silver Eyed Huntress lands a devastating strike with Crescent Rose and follows through by kicking Carver in the face, knocking him out. As Carver was knocked out, Piper along with Junko and Yang managed to kill the remaining Grimm. 

Ruby: You guys okay? 

Piper: We'll be fine, Ruby. Good job on taking down Carver. 

Ruby: Thanks. Just wish we could've stopped Cinder. 

Piper: We'll figure something out. We should get back to Starling and let her know what's going on. 

Ruby: I hope Aerrow and his team are having better luck than we are....

With that, Ruby's team departed from the Aurora Stone Tower to regroup with Starling, all the while hoping Aerrow and his team were doing better. In that moment, Cinder Fall and her allies had captured the Aurora Stone. Now they could deliver it to Salem to begin the next stage of Salem's plans for Atmos.
