Chapter Twenty-Four: The Willams' Girls

"He is so beautiful." The young girl sighs longingly.

"He's also mine." Evelyn quips with a smirk.

Evelyn has been home for a few weeks and already her beloved sister has began her hormonal reign of terror. The sixteen year old girl has officially lost her rockers over Evelyn's boyfriend.

The first time Evelyn introduced George to her little sister, the young girl could not even refrain from drooling over him. Her dark doe eyes were wide and aware of George's every word. As he introduced himself, the girl silently adored him.

Evelyn did not make much of a scene because of this, but George surely thought it was fucking hilarious. He does not have any younger siblings, so he could not necessarily sympathize with Evelyn's irritation. He thought the little girls ogling was cute.

In hindsight, the little girls ogling would come back to bite George in a way that even he was not fully prepared for. Neither he nor Evelyn would be prepared for that one.

"So." The girl shrugged. "He still fine as a dime on a Busta Rhymes." The girl chuckled.

Evelyn rolls her eyes and turns her head in the direction of her little sisters gaze. A smile spread her lips when she saw the sight in the next room. Her father and her boyfriend were in the mist of a high-five. Her smile widened when the two clanked controllers and continued yelling incoherently at what Evelyn presumes is the television.

She could not see from where she was standing. She was leaning against the railing of the stairs, peeping into her father's study. The men were oblivious to it all and that made Evelyn laugh. She knew the two would get along well. She thanks God for "King James".

"That was a lame ass joke, Bri." Evelyn finally turns to her sister, realizing what the girl had said. "Busta Rhymes, really?" She smacked her teeth as the girl rolled her eyes.

"You just as lame for thinking it was a lame joke." Brianna defends herself. "And you need to stop cussin' before I tell mommma." She adds as an afterthought.

Evelyn rolls her eyes again and pushes off of the railing. She has spent enough time stalking her little sister - to make sure the girl wasn't stalking her boyfriend - and lunch was calling her name.

"Dismiss yourself, little girl." Evelyn deadpans as she walked away.

Brianna's next words were muted as Evelyn descended the staircase. She was on a mission for food and her annoying and very stalker-ish little sister was not going to hinder her from completing said mission.

Evelyn inhales deeply as she waltzed from the living and into the kitchen. She exhaled heavily as she scanned the kitchen for a culprit to fill her stomach.

Since Evelyn's return, her mother made it her personal mission to keep the the kitchen stocked up with all of Evelyn's favorite snacks and ready-made meals. Her mother definitely made sure to do so after her poor daughter was unfortunately snowed in Lucky's Mart that one day.

Little does Mrs. Williams know, that day ended on a very good note - which sounded like her beloved daughters boyfriends name. Evelyn never told her family about what truly happened that day, all they know is that she and her boyfriend were snowed in for hours. That was all they needed to know.

Evelyn bit down on her lip at the thought of it all. That evening was an interesting one and she willingly admits that she would relive it again and again if she could.

The way the boy touched her and the words he said was something beyond Evelyn. She was initially afraid of having him do such a thing in such a public place. She laughs at the thought now, especially since considering their gym parking chronicle. She was so aware of their surroundings, but when he touched her, she was a goner.

Even though she had other fears - like whether or not she remembered to shave and if he would notice, or even if he would like how she smelled or felt - those thoughts all went away in that moment. Nothing mattered and if it ever did once, it was trivial when he touched her.

Evelyn never knew she could feel so strongly for someone. She never felt she could need someone. She never felt she could be so open to someone. She never knew or felt such things until he came along.

She thought that she had experienced all the bliss of being in a relationship when she was with her ex, Brandon, but being with George is something totally different. The asshole does things to Evelyn.

Evelyn does not know why her emotions are going haywire these days, but he was the reason. She figured that it was because he was bringing something new to the table. She had never gone so far with her ex, Brandon Maddox, not at all.

Evelyn has convinced herself that this is because she and Brandon were young and in high-school. The two barely had time for each other during their senior year, but they did mess around. Yet, all the things she and Brandon had done mattered not when a certain asshole with beautiful eyes came around.

Evelyn does not know how to explain it, but that little asshole has done some things to her and she cannot deny that she likes it - craves it sometime.

Evelyn didn't know her eyes were closed or that she was biting down on her lip rather harshly. Not until she tasted iron. No, she was not even aware of the certain asshole that had joined her seconds ago, on a mission to fuel his hunger as well. She did not know until his chuckles exposed his presence.

"Ev, you don't understand how dumb you look right now." The boy joked, joining Evelyn's side.

Evelyn's eyes fluttered as his plump lips came into view. She released a heavy sigh as she regathered herself. She could not believe she was drooling over the asshole in front of her. Even if he was the cutest asshole she has ever held the honor to call her boyfriend.

"You're such an ass--"

"Uh-Uh-Uh." The boy smirks as he rose a finger to Evelyn's lips. "Not in your parents house." He teases.

Evelyn swats his finger away and rolls her eyes.

"Asshole." She finished as she stepped away from him.

"You know. That you--"

"Evelyn middle-name Williams, I know damn well you ain't cussin' in my house." Another voice chimed.

The couple exchanged a quick glance - the boy smirked humorously while Evelyn outwardly cringed - before turning toward the culprit that interrupted the heated conversation.

"I said... I know damn well--"

"I heard you momma." Evelyn sighs, cutting her eyes at the boy for a moment before returning her mothers gaze.

"Then open your damn mouth and answer me." She huffs. "Don't get knocked out in front of George, you hear?"

Evelyn refrained from rolling her eyes at her mother. Her mother may have threatened her, but she knows that it is only an exaggeration. The worst her mother would do is curse her out in front of George. Her mother never believed in physical discipline. She simply believes in giving that pointed-glare that told her daughters to behave or rectify a situation.

That cold glare has always worked, putting fear into the hearts of her only two daughters. It is a signature move for her and has yet to stop proving it's value.

George watched the scene unfold and tried to bite back a goofy grin. He did not want to laugh at Evelyn's embarrassment, but it was too damn funny. She was just about to curse him out and then her mother walks in and does exactly that. What a good laugh that should have been.

The only thing that stopped George from bursting into cackles was the glare Mrs. Williams sent him when he did accidentally snicker. The glare warned him to even sputter something comical. George knew better than to defy that look, so he opted for silence.

"Momma why you always gotta embarrass me? I'm nineteen and you treating me like a child." Evelyn whines.

She had suddenly lost her appetite and the feeling of agitation replaced it instead. She truly hates when he mother acts this way. It makes no sense in Evelyn's opinion. She truly feels her mother is "showing out" for George. Now that made sense.

Mrs. Williams rolls her eyes and turns toward George.

"You hear her whining, too? Right?"

George chuckles and holds his palms up.

"My name is Bennett and I was never in it." He chuckles as he scooted past mother and daughter.

Evelyn watched George sneak away with envy. If only she could scoot out of this situation so easily. She really would have done that as soon as she saw her mother. Fucking lucky ass George.

"That boy there is funny." Her mother shakes her head with a smile. "I think I'm taking a liking to him." She adds as an afterthought.

Evelyn listened deathly to her mother ramble on about how much she likes George or whatever else she may have said that Evelyn obviously didn't catch. The woman has been hooked on George since Evelyn's birthday dinner.

Apparently, he really impressed her mother by making reservations to Evelyn's favorite restaurant and surprising her with a bag of her favorite goodies, one including three "special edition" Michael Jackson CD's. Evelyn had the biggest smile on her face that evening.

She vaguely remembers reminding George everyday for an entire a week - discreetly of course - about how much she loves Michael Jackson. The fact that he took heed to her hints made her stomach flip elatedly. It also apparently won George brownie points with her mother. Asshole.

"Evelyn this my last time calling you, girl," Mrs. Williams huffs.

Evelyn sighed heavily for what felt like the millionth time and turned to her mother with a plastic smile.

"Sorry. I'm listening."

"You really like him? What about Brandon? I really liked that boy." Mrs. Williams questions, sipping at her mug.

Evelyn didn't know when her mother found time to prepare herself a cold drink when she was rambling on about George, but she pushed the realization away as soon as it came. That and the mention of Brandon.

"Yeah, I like him. He's cool." Evelyn shrugs.

Evelyn knows she is cheating George out of his true adjectives, but she does not feel like going into detail about him with her mother.

Mrs. Williams took notice and nodded as she took another sip of her ice tea. She smiled behind the mug. Her daughter is something else.

"Cool? When we started using that?" She set her mug down. "You're something else little girl." She chuckles lifting her mug to her lips again.

"We never started anything. Momma why are you asking questions?" Evelyn asked suspiciously.

She felt her mother was up to no good when she asked about George and knew she was up to no good when she mentioned Brandon. This woman thinks she slick and Evelyn can fix that.

Mrs. Williams sets her mug onto the countertop as she shrugs. She turn toward the direction of the door and moves slowly. She hides her smile as she reaches the door rather quickly.

"No reason." She pushes the door open. "Get that for me, will ya?" She directs toward the mug on the countertop.

Evelyn opens her mouth to protest but her mother had slipped past the door as quickly as her words left her lips. Evelyn released a groan and glanced across the kitchen at her mothers favorite mug. She stomped like a child over to the mug and rolled her eyes.

"Number one mother my ass."
