Mace' POV-

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"Danille, get the alarm..."

I hear her shuffle a bit, the alarm stops but not until it hits the ground. I jump.

"It's off!"

I get up and change into my usual purple and green shirt and jeans, "Thanks, now get up you lasy butt."
I stop for a moment listning in case dad wanted to bully us more. I let a gasp out in relief, "Thank god." I mumble under my breath.

She groans under her pillow, "Just let me lay here wile you head off to school?" She pouts and pushes herself up.

"No, now get up 'cause school is fun!" Not meaning what I said, I only like my book club.

Danielle rolls her eyes, "That's a lie." She reaches for some skinny jeans and a crop top. "There's nothing about being out of bed that's fun."

"Think of the bright side! Books are fun, they create pictures in your mind and inprove your vocabulary!" I reach for the highest shelf, causing my brown and blue glasses to fall off my face and clattered to the ground with a crash.

"Books are never fun." She says and picks up my glasses, "One of the lenses is broken sis." She lifts a messy bun on the top of her head.

"Dangit! I can't fudging see without them!" I madly say, "Stupid clumsyness!"

"Gruegh?" I hear from downstairs, dad must've slept on the couch again, he's always cranky when that happens.

She groans, "Where's your backup pair? I'll fetch them for you." She sates.

"Thanks Dan." I say giving her a new nickname.

She rolls her eyes, "You know how I feel about nicknames. Only my boyfriend can call me anything but Danielle." She giggles at me and crosses her arms, turning on her heel to the stairs.

"You know I have a boyfriend aswell." I murmured under my breath as she walked out the door to the suplize cabinet in the bathroom. I quickly put my hair in pigtails and brushed my bangs over my forehead.

"I know you have a boyfriend, I just don't like him."

"I know you don't like him, that's why I bring him up, to annoy you. Because of your hatred in books!" I laughed afterwards cause of my reason.

She nods giving a small sigh, "Well stop bringing him up, he makes me feel stupid." She confesses.

"And how is that?" I say putting on blush and makeup.

"He uses big #ss words that no one in this universe can understand!" She finishes her makeup, and waits for me on the sofa.

"Be quiet, Dad's right there!" I wisper, "And the only reason you don't understand his vocabulary is because you don't read as much as me!" I said, sitting next to her with my binder on the sofa.

"Well I don't care to read. I can get through school with my writing and soccer." She rolls her eyes and watches the door, waiting for her boyfriend.

"Well you should read." I said waiting with her.

"Gruegh?" He grunted. He was on the other couch sleeping, guess he's a heavy sleeper.

She groans and stands from her seat, "Well I guess I'll see you at school then." She says and points out to the car. "Unless you need a ride?"

"No I'll ride the bus." I say and strut out the door.

I get out of the bus, our hands instantly meeting as we walk along campus.

"Hello Danielle." I say, the soft grass rubbing against my ankles.

She waves and scowls at my boyfriend before looking back at me.

"You know if you don't like him... I could always dump him. I don't like him much either, he's too much of a show off." I wisper to her, "Of course if you don't like him that much. And I have a bad feeling about him, he gives me the chills." I shivered, the only reason I went out with him is to not hurt his feelings.

"No I'm okay with him. But if you don't want him then break up with him. But don't worry about my feelings, sis. I can always get used to him. Do what makes you happy." She smiled and sighed when her boyfriend, louis, whispered an idea in her ear. "Yeah you right, babe. We should head to first hour." She blushes and ran to her "first class".

As she's right about around the corner I walk up to my boyfriend and say something...
"Ummm Cody?"I nevosly said.
"Yes?"
"Can we ummm canwebreakup?" I quickly mumbled.
"What did you just say?" He said his voice rising, "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!?!" He was yelling now. Suddenly he slapped me across the face. Making me fall to the ground with a thud, he started kicking me unconscious.

She jumps up, pushing him away before he pushes her next to me, her head hitting a nearby bench. Just then Louis comes up, punches him into the wall, "you best leave.." And at that Cody nods with a apologetic smile.

My side is bleeding with an occasional bruse, my face has a red mark where he slapped me. I've got a black eye... I drift unconscious.

"Mace! Please wake up!"

I shift a bit, "Baneille?" I wisper.

"Yeah, I'm Danielle. Please can you open your eyes for me?" I feel myself sit up.

I slowly crack my eyelids open wich is very hard. But it's just enough to see her face. "Are my glasses broken? Because there's five of you." I say more loudly this time. "What happened to your head? It's bleeding." I say as my by eyelids seem like are no longer in my control and start drooping.

She puts her hand on her hand and shakes her head, "I'm alright. Lou can go get me some bandages. You're be alright. He just called the paramedics." The second she says that the sound of sirens blaze through the air, she flinches.

"Are you okay? Danillie, please don't say it's nothing because I can tell it's not. You just started holding your head. And I'm getting a bit lightheaded aswell." I say seriously. I curl my hair in my fingers finding something to distract myself from the pain.

"I'm only a bit lightheaded." She mumbles quietly.

"Are you sure?" I said as the parimetics bring over two stretchers. "Where's my glasses? I can't see far away things."

She picks up my glasses which lay near my head and helps them back on my face. She lays down on her back.

"I..." She says and falls unconscious.

"Not you too!" And that's the last thing I heard before falling unconscious with her.
