I Owe You

One phone call. One, short, phone call during a lazy day from a Family member had plunged Tsuna into a nightmare.

As he rushed through the hospital, eyes frantic and searching for the room number, he prayed silently that he wasn't too late.

After three minutes of blindingly charging into the hospital, he finally found his destination, and without a single hesitation, burst into the room with a loud bang.

"Didn't I teach you to be well-mannered, Dame-Tsuna?" a voice asked behind the curtain. Ignoring the question, Tsuna hastily pushed the curtain away, revealing a man with raven hair hooked to a machime, face pale and white.

"Reborn..." Tsuna uttered in shock. Sighing, Reborn motioned at Tsuna to sit which was quickly complied by the younger man.

Silence once again enveloped the ward as Tsuna just stared at his ex-mentor, eyes raking up and down, trying to take in as many information as possible.

"I'm fine, Dame-Tsuna. There's nothing for you to worry about." Reborn spoke. Tsuna said nothing as he continued to stare at Reborn. Slowly, he reached out and grasped Reborn's hand, gripping it tight.

"You scared me, Reborn." Tsuna started. "When I heard you got injured, I couldn't help myself but to think of awful things." Tsuna lowered his head. "I was so scared, Reborn. I thought you were going to leave me before I got the chance to thank you for everything you've done for me." he continued.

"I was so alone and I owe you so much, I just-" Tsuna stopped himself mid-sentence, biting his lips, trying to hold in his sobs. Reborn said nothing as he gently rubbed Tsuna's hand, a small gesture of comfort that he could provide while his movements were restricted.

"Please don't leave me," Tsuna pleaded softly, his voice trembling. Reborn can't help but remember the old, wimpy kid Tsuna was when they first met. Sighing softly, he released a little of his flame, just enough to let Tsuna's flame to respond to it.

"I'm not going anywhere, Tsuna." Reborn said as he let Tsuna's flame intertwined with his, "I still owe you some trainings," he smirked.

Blinking, Tsuna just stared at Reborn, not able to respond to that, until a smile appeared on his face. "I guess you do," Tsuna agreed.

After that, the two occupants fell into silence as they feel their flames respond to each other, giving comfort and warmth, ensuring both that everything will be okay.
