Dakota Erwing practiced, getting her friends to read lines with them. Now she sat in the back of her Mom's minivan driving to Los Angeles.

Will I get the part?

Am I good enough?

I look just like Astrid.

Why wouldn't they cast me?

"We're here." her mom spoke, but Dakota didn't move.

You can do this.

Dakota walked like Astrid would I to the huge building. People filled the room. Dakota once again felt nervous. No! What would Astrid do?

She'd be confident and get the part, duh.

The minivan slows to a stop and Dakota stepped out of the car, had shaking. You can do this.

Walking into the building I saw quite a lot of people there. Most are practicing, some talking. I sign in and patiently wait

*later*

"Dakota Erwing"

I look up and take a deep breathe, my turn.

*little later*

"Yes, fourth grade math. I love that kind of thing." Dakota said adding sarcasm and face expressions.

"Thank you, will keep in touch."

I nodded and exited the room

*bout a week later*

"Enemy fire, enemy fire"

Dakota reached for her phone and answered

"Hello"

"Hello, Miss Erwing, you got the part as Astrid."

Dakota felt bad, she probably busted the poor caller with her squeal.

A/n this is the 19th part so I wanted to do something special. Submit songs for the Gone series characters whether it be Sam or Duck. Please no heavily swear contained songs because I have to look them up. Part 20 will be up in about 2 weeks 12/29/14.
I live in Nebraska so I don't necessarily know how getting a part in a movie or television show works.
The song Enemy Fire by Bea Miller really reminds me of Astrid and how she used Sam to protect her and L.P.
