After the fantastic time they spent with their boyfriends and families, Rain and Sky went back to the resort just to tie some loose ends. But most of the team was now fully set. They were now ready to go back to Bangkok and would make the journey back and forth as and when needed. Sky was in discussion with Aroon and Rain was off somewhere with the landscaping team, when his phone rang. He looked at it. It was Pai. "P'Pai? All okay?" he asked. "Sky, where is Rain?" Pai asked. "He is with the landscapers Phi. He is the one who is the best at that," Sky replied. "Phayu is worried about him. He doesn't say anything, but I know that he feels scared that Rain will hate him at some point about what happened to his family," Pai said, sounding equally worried about his brother. "P'Pai, I know Rain very well. He is very happy. Tell P'Phayu to relax. Rain is never going to be sad about losing those assholes, especially not with Phi, okay?" Sky said. "I hope so. Anyway, let me go and calm Phayu down a bit," Pai said. "Phi, Rain and I will come back to Bangkok next weekend. Our part of the work here is done. Now even if we need to come, it will be for small changes or technicalities. Things will be better if Rain is in front of Phi I guess," Sky said. "Yes! Of course! That's good my Sky. I will let you get back to work so that you can come back soon," Pai said, sounding extremely happy.

"Welcome back you guys! You were sorely missed!" The whole office was so excited that they had even put up banners. Rain and Sky both laughed. 'Wow! This is a welcome surprise!" Sky said, a bit shocked. When he had joined the company, he had thought that the employees would hate him for coming in from outside and taking everything over. But that never happened. On the contrary, they were actually happy that they had someone who would judge them without bias. Plus, all of them were really fond of Sky, and when they saw that Sky favoured Rain a lot, he became even more special to them. Sky and Rain had told everyone very early on that they both had been classmates from high school right upto Uni. "But he is more qualified than I am, since he has a Masters from Singapore," Sky had said, sounding so proud that no one had been left under any doubt as to what his opinion of Rain was. In a way, all of them knew that Rain was most likely going to climb up to management level and they had no issues with that.

"Any glaring issues we face currently?" Sky asked, as he looked around the conference room. "Nothing at all. We got the two contracts that we had been discussing before you guys left," Yihwa said. "And that landscaping deal with Me Mind Y was also closed. They want our services in their offices, at least four times a year, which means they are looking for seasonal scaping," Jane said. Rain nodded. "They will get us more clients if we do our job well," Sky said. "Don't we always do that?" Jane asked, quirking a brow. "Do we?" Rain asked, deadpan. "Ai'Rain!" Jane said, trying to bop Rain's head, missing him completely when he dodged and giggled. They discussed everything that had been missed and caught up. "Guys, before you leave, there is something I must tell you. We are looking for the resort opening to happen by November second week, that is if the landscaping also gets done by then. If that happens, we will all be going there, all of us, with family. This is an order from the top," Sky said. A loud cheer went up. "Another thing. As of today, Rain will be joining me in the management team..." An even louder cheer went up, preventing Sky from saying anything more.

Rain looked around with tears in his eyes at the heartwarming gesture. Sky held up his hand. "This is the unofficial announcement. Khun Venice may come in to give the official one," he said, but was categorically interrupted. "We will consider this the official one. Just don't call Khun Venice in. We are okay and we have no complaints," Ryan spoke up. Rain and Sky burst out laughing. The fear of Venice was real. "Okay. I agree. I will let him know," Sky said, as the whole office took a visible breath of relief. "Okay guys, let's get back to work. And let's make sure we stay on top of the game," Rain said. Everyone cheered again, but got back happily. Rain and Sky continued to sit there after everyone had left. "That went well," Rain said, looking stunned. "Why the surprise baby? I was sure they would be thrilled. No one here deserves it more than you," Sky smiled. Rain smiled at him. "You are biased," he said. "I may be, but that doesn't change facts. You deserve to be where you are now," Sky said. Rain nodded, as he and Sky got up to go back to work.

Months sped by, and finally Halloween was back again, and it was originally supposed to be at Phayu's house, but since they had all moved back into the mansion, Khun stole Rain and Sky to help him do the planning. He wanted the theme to be lovers or partners. Rain knew what he wanted to go as, but he was terribly afraid to ask Phayu to dress accordingly. So he decided to wait to see what Phayu wanted to do. He would dress as Phayu's partner. "Did you talk to P'Phayu?" Sky whispered in his ear as the two of them helped Uncle Khun do the decoration. The three of them were directing the guards to do the heavy work. Rain shook his head. "The person I want to go as, their partner is female. It would be weird asking Phayu to dress as an inherently female character. He would never do that to him. "Rain, you will not know until you ask," Sky said. "Ask what?" Pai said, as he and Phayu walked in, putting an arm around their respective partner's waist and kissing their temple.

"Whom do you want to ask baby? And what?" Phayu asked. "Nothing Phi. Sky was telling me to ask Uncle Khun whether he will change the theme," Rain said, glaring at Sky. "Why should he change the theme? I like this one. Being your lover is the best way to go to this Halloween party," Phayu said. He looked at Pai. They had a plan brewing in their heads, which is why this party was very important to them. "Phi, if Rain wanted to go as a particular character, would you still go as his lover if his partner was originally female?" Sky asked. Rain mentally facepalmed. He couldn't believe Sky had brought that up. "Well, as long as the character is Harley Quinn, why not?" Phayu asked. Rain stared up at his lover in shock. "What happened baby? Did you think I wouldn't know?" Phayu asked, cupping Rain's face. Pai nudged Sky and they both made a discrete exit.

"How did you know Phi?" Rain whispered. "I saw the searches on your laptop. You had left it open. I am pretty sure it was not deliberate, but I understood. Rain, I love you, and that means, I will do anything for you, dressing as Harley Quinn included, okay?" Phayu said, grunting as Rain hugged him tight. "Why are you so good to me Phi?" Rain asked, leaning back and looking at the older man. Phayu just smiled and kissed the tip of Rain's nose. "Silly boy. Never hide anything from me from now on, okay?" he said. Rain nodded and hugged him again.

Phayu had decided to get ready with Rain's help. But when Rain came out of the bathroom in his robe, Phayu took one look and lifted him up. "I need you! Right now!" he said, and Rain calmly locked his legs around his man. Phayu laid him on the bed, opened his robe and crawled up his body. He was in too much of a hurry for finesse. He took lube in his hand and slipped two fingers inside Rain, scissoring him, kissing him sloppily, and then moving lower as Rain moaned and mewled under him. He added white shoes with neon highlights, then Rain did the rest of his make-up. Then Rain dressed up, putting on make-up that would make him look like Joker, along with artificial tattoos. Rain made sure he wore Phayu's shirt, tucking it into his own pants. Phayu watched him with a small smirk on his face. "Phi! I don't have a bowtie!" Rain suddenly wailed. Phayu shook his head and walked into his closet, pulling out one of his own. "Here you go baby," he said, handing it to Rain. Rain draped it around his neck, slicked back his hair once more. "I am ready Phi," he said, giving Phayu a two finger salute. Phayu laughed. "Okay love. Why don't you go down? I will use the washroom once and come," he said. Rain nodded happily and left. Phayu pulled out the ring box from his jacket and checked it. Both the rings sparkled and Phayu sighed. Today was going to be the day for sure.

The party was in full swing when Rain reached downstairs. Sky was standing near the buffet table and since Rain was hungry, he joined his best friend. Sky looked at him, stuffing a tiny puff into his mouth. "It is all delicious. You did good baby," he said, speaking around his food, spraying a bit of it on Rain. "Ew! Sky! Finish eating first dude!" Rain said, taking one step back. Sky just gestured him to move away. Rain shook his head, torn between wanting to die of laughter and disgust, but since it was Sky, laughter won. He was still giggling when Sig, Por, Som and Ple walked in. Phayu and Pai watched from the shadows as the four of them made their way towards their boyfriends. "Are we all set?" Phayu asked. "Absolutely," Pai said, his voice hard.

"I don't see P'Phayu?" Ple said, looking around. She was dressed as Snow White and had posted her dress choice on her social media, in the hope that Phayu would dress as the Prince so that would shut her brother up. He had been puffing up for a while that this was the year that he would win Phayu over. Ple was fed up of him and really wanted some way to be one up on him. And what better way was there than to be Phayu's girlfriend. "He is somewhere with P'Pai. They had a lot to do today for the party," Sky said, gesturing nonchalantly. Rain kept silent during this conversation. There were many things he wanted to say, but he knew how to pick his battles. Plus his relationship with P'Phayu was personal, not something that needed to be displayed or announced, especially in front of people who did not even deserve it.

"P'Phayu and P'Pai still seem to be missing Sky?" Rain whispered, making sure that they were alone before he asked. Sky shrugged. "You want to go look for them?" he asked. "Nope. Not with these jackals following us," Rain said. Sky was about to reply when suddenly the lights went off and a single spotlight came on. Khun stood under it, dressed as Cleopatra, complete with a snake crown. He looked absolutely stunning as he swirled his cape around. Rain and Sky knew what he was to go as, but seeing him was a different thing altogether. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 3rd Annual Theerpanayakul HALLOWEEN PARTY! This time, we have a small twist in the tale! This time, we are planning to entertain you with dance and music," Khun threw his hand outwards, where a karaoke machine and mics stood. "You are all free to choose a partner to sing with," he said, pointing towards a bowl that was filled with chits, most likely the names of all the people present there. "Go ahead guys! Pick your partner and sing away!!" he announced as the lights came back on.

There was a mass exodus towards the bowl, everyone hoping they would get a good partner to sing with. Ple and Som were looking pretty upset with the fact that they had ended up with each other. Por and Sig got each other as well. "Who did you both get?" Sig asked Rain and Sky. "I got P'Pai. Lucky me," Sky said, not very surprised. "I got P'Phayu," Rain said, and Som and Ple immediately whirled towards him. "Give it to me," Ple stepped up at once. "No exchanges allowed," a deep voice spoke up, as Phayu stepped up to where everyone was standing, with Pai in tow. Pai promptly went to Sky and put his arm around the younger boy's waist. Ple and Som started simpering the moment they saw Phayu, but he simply ignored them and held a hand out for Rain. "I would like to start with the songs this evening, if you don't mind Nong," he said formally, looking at the boy in front of him. Rain nodded quietly and allowed himself to be led by his lover to the karaoke space. Phayu picked up the remote and chose a <a>song. He handed a mic to Rain. "Please sing with me Nong," he said. Rain could do nothing but just gracefully accept. He had no clue what his Phi was upto, but if the smirk was any indication, he was pretty sure it was nothing good. The song came on, and the two of them started singing. As they sang, Phayu crowded more and more into Rain's personal space, until the line While I kiss your neck and shoulders came, when he bent slightly, pulling Rain towards him and actually kissed his neck. Rain was used to the entire family's public display of affection, including Phayu's, so he didn't even cringe or flinch, holding his man by the waist and tugging him closer, but all those who didn't know they were together, including their friends from the Uni, gasped. Phayu and Rain continued to sing, not a care in the world.

"Are they together?" Por asked in a hushed voice. "No way!" Som said, adamant. "Phi, you don't randomly kiss someone on the neck during karaoke. And considering Rain had 0 reaction, it's obvious it's a common occurrence," Sig said calmly. "P'Phayu can never like someone like Rain," Ple said, just as Phayu and Rain walked up, Phayu's hand around Rain's waist. "And what does that mean Nong Ple?" Phayu asked, his iciest tone out. "You are such an amazing person Phi, and Rain is.. well.. Rain," she said, running her mouth, not realising that Phayu's demeanour was exuding danger. Rain tightened his hold around Phayu, afraid the man would lash out. He didn't care about these people. They didn't know who or what Phayu and Rain were to each other, so he was not bothered by their opinion. But he didn't want Phayu to take matters into his own hands again. However, he needn't have worried. Phayu simply threw back his head and laughed.

"Do you even hear yourself?" he asked, when he had his laughter under control. "You are stupid, conceited, and absolutely abhorrent pieces of shit to ever walk the planet, and you think you would hold a candle to my Rain? He is so much better that you that he doesn't even have to prove his worth," he said. As soon as he finished speaking, Rain pulled him into a filthy kiss. "Thank you Phi," he whispered, when they broke it off. "Do you really want to thank me?" Phayu asked. Rain nodded, hearts in his eyes. Phayu went down of one knee, much to the shock of the guests and the thrill of the family members. Everyone had been in on the plan, and they were ready to do anything that would put people who troubled their Rainy boy into their places.

"Rain, my love, my sweet little ghostie, we met exactly one year ago. Although I was not looking for it in my life, one look at you and I realised that love at first does exist. I don't want to say a lot of words that are meaningless, so I will come straight to the point. My love, will you marry me?"Phayu asked, pulling out the ring box. Pete's hand flew to his mouth, and Macau, Porche, Chay and Khun put their arms around him as they waited for Rain to give his reply. "Actions speak louder than words Phi, and you have proved how much you love me with every single one of your actions. So yes, I will Phi," he said, his voice low and heavy with tears, yet it carried firmly across the silent room. Everyone cheered and hollered as Phayu slipped the ring onto Rain's finger and Rain did the same for him. Phayu pulled Rain closer and kissed him. He had finally found the one, and he was never going to let him go!
