"Are you saying Venice has never had a partner for his ruts?" Tharn asked, extremely confused, and not surprisingly, a lot shocked. "No, never. Lycans cannot bear the stench of any other than their mate in their vicinity at all times. Even at their most normal. It just increases ten fold during ruts," Vegas said. Tharn was silent for so long that Vegas thought he had been cut off. "Hello?" he said. "I am here. Just trying to process all this. I have no idea what to do for Rain under these circumstances," Tharn said. "I will send Chai to you. He is Rome's mate, Phayu's brother in-law. It took him a while to mate with Ro, and he might be able to give tips on how to help. Will that work?" Vegas asked. "I guess so," Tharn said, hesitant, but trying to be hopeful.

When he went back upstairs, he saw Rain in the same way. While the sobs had subsided, leaving him sniffling from time to time, tears still pouring down his face. He looked pitiful and tired, but the tears went unchecked, making Tharn realise that his son wasn't even aware of their, or his fathers', presence. He was locked somewhere in his head, and Tharn's heart broke a bit. He repeated word to word what Vegas had said. Type sat silent for a while, trying to understand the reason for their son's suffering, but just as helpless as his mate. Tharn rushed down at the bell. "Hello. I am Chai. Dad.. I mean Khun Vegas sent me," the man said, waiing politely. "Welcome. Please come in. Rain is upstairs. We will be grateful if you can help him," he said, gesturing to the younger Alpha to follow him.

"How long has it's been since Rain had his last heat?" Chain asked, standing at the threshold of Rain's room, where Type still held his son in his arms. "I am not sure. Tharn, get me my phone please. I think I have a tracker for Rain as well in there," he said, gesturing towards it. Tharn handed it to him and Type quickly checked. "It was supposed to come last month!" Type said, shocked, as he stared at Chai and Tharn. "That's when he met Ven?" Chai asked. Tharn nodded. "Around the time all of them came to meet us," Type said. "That means, because Rain's wolf recognised his mate, as per biology, he decided that he would wait for his partner to go into a rut. I think we can safely assume that this heartbreaking reaction is purely because Rain's wolf understood that Ven's wolf and Lycan was going into rut, and his own body biology kicked in," Chai said.

"So are you saying Rain is going into heat now?" Tharn asked. "I think because you are his parents, it's not clear to you, but I felt it as soon as I came in. Can't you scent his arousal and panic at being away from his Alpha?" Chai asked. Tharn and Type sniffed the air, and they were hit with a wave so strong, that they nearly buckled. Type was sitting, so he was fine, but Chai had to help Tharn stand upright. "What do we do now?" Type asked, helplessly watching his son rock, Rain's keening sobs slashing through his own heart and soul. "I have no idea. If we take Rain there, Ven will kill us. But if we leave Rain like this, he will die. This is the worst dilemma ever!" Chai said, feeling equally frustrated. "Then let's take the risk of Venice killing us. He will kill us either ways, because either ways, Rain is going to get hurt. But if Rain stays alive, at least he can speak on our behalf," a voice said as everyone turned around.

"Ro!" Chai rushed to his Omega. "Why are you here?" he asked. "Ven is going mad in there; feral almost. He keeps going between wolf and Lycan. And in a few hours, it will become uncontrollable. Maybe Rain can help," Rome said, as he looked at his brother in-law. The boy was so frail, fragile even. It scared him to think what would happen to the petite Omega once he threw in his lot with Venice, his wolf and his Lycan. "You are?" Tharn asked. "I am Rome, Venice's twin. I know this is not fair to you. But can you bear to see Rain like this?" Rome said. "Can you give us a few moments to discuss this at least? This is our only son we are talking about," Tharn said. Rome and Chai nodded, and moved away, unable to bear the scent from Rain that clung to the air like a heavy blanket, perforating the senses.

"He needs to go his mate Tharn," Type said, as soon as Rome and Chai stepped away. "Ai'Type! He is barely 20! He can't..!" Tharn trailed off. "I understand what you mean. Don't think my heart is not breaking. But how long do you think we will be able to see Rain like this? What will we do if something happens to him Ai'Tharn? I'd rather be a grandfather than see my son die in front of me," Type said, his voice cracking. Tharn stared at him for a few moments, then squared his shoulders. "Okay. Let's go then. Rain deserves to be with his mate. And we need to give him this," Tharn said and called Chai and Rome back. "Let's do what you said lu," Type said, getting off the bed and pulling Rain off too. But Rain had no strength. Unable to stand, his knees buckled, and he would have fallen had Tharn not swept him off his feet and carried him down like a baby.

The moment they reached the SUV Chai had come in and settled in, Rome took out some bottles of water. "This is not regular water. This has glucose and other energy supplements. It will give him strength and also help him stay hydrated," he said, handing one to Type. Type nodded and put the straw to Rain's mouth, who sipped as if on auto pilot. He had finished two bottles by the time they reached the Theerpanayakul compound. "Tharn, Type, we had no idea this could happen," Pete said, sounding so apologetic, that Type felt bad for the man. "Pete, I hardly think this is something to feel bad about. We have all gone through this at some point in our lives. Let's just hope all goes well for both our sons," Type said, trying to reassure the man. After all, his son was in the same world of hurt as Rain.

Rain entered the room, the scent of mate and his arousal wrapping him up in devastating need. "Phiiiii!" he whined, unable to control the slick that ran down his legs, despite clenching his ass hard. "Rain?" Phayu said, sounding hoarse, his shock evident. "What the fuck are you doing here?" he asked, trying his best not to shout. Rain stepped closer and that's when he scented it, Rain's heat, the haze around his head clearing. He stepped back in horror! "Rain! No! Please no!" he said, trying his best to move away, both his wolf and Lycan trying to take control of him. But he found his hands full of mate. Rain wouldn't let him leave, wrapping his hands around the Alpha, sucking on his neck, his need so great that he was unable to handle it. Phayu's inner beasts howled in triumph. Here was their person, their Omega, the one and only one created for them, just in as much frenzy of need as they themselves. Rain's wolf crawled forward, neck bared, as he surrendered himself to the one who would protect them for all eternity.

Phayu lifted Rain, the younger man immediately wrapped his legs around the Alpha, and laid him on the bed. He wanted to separate, but Rain would have none of it. He pulled Phayu down, using the nape of his neck and kissed him. The moment their lips touched, Rain sighed in happiness, and Phayu took the chance to delve into his mouth. Rain gave himself over completely, with no fears in his head. He had never felt safer, and he knew beyond a doubt that this man would never hurt him willingly or unwillingly. Passion erupted between them, as both their arousals clung in the air, the room heavy with the scents of rose and chocolate, coffee and musk.

Phayu wanted to take it slow, but he was far gone, all finesse lost. While there was a part of him that screamed that he was Rain's first, it was not the part of him that saw reason. He stripped, and did the same for Rain, both of them sighing in relief as the chafing that they were feeling disappeared. Phayu bent down and licked Rain's slick, eliciting a scream of shocked pleasure from the younger man, his legs falling further open to give Phayu more access. That was all the invitation that was needed, as Phayu lapped at Rain's hole, the sweetness of the slick keeping him hard and needy the entire time. Rain writhed and shouted, but Phayu was relentless, finally drawing an explosive orgasm from Rain, who came completely untouched.

Phayu turned him around, lifting Rain's ass and using three fingers to enter his hole. Rain cried out, bucking and coming again, his small body shuddering in ecstasy. Phayu thrust into him, Rain's slick being enough of a lube, letting him enter his Omega easily, their bodies perfectly in sync. Even though it was a first time for both them, their wolves recognised each other perfectly, making them absolute partners. Phayu's movements increased in speed, searching for that elusive end. He knew that knotting Rain could be a problem, but he couldn't seem to stop the knot from forming. "Rain!" he shouted, trying to pull out, but Rain moved backwards, not letting Phayu do what he wanted. Phayu's thrusts became harder and faster, hitting Rain's prostrate with each of them as the Omega sobbed with need. Finally, he hit the spot with such force that he could feel Rain splintering, again, as his knot locked inside before he could pull out. Phayu groaned and collapsed on Rain, the Omega taking his weight easily, as they snuggled into each other.

"It's a first for both of them. We need to find a way to stop Rain from getting pregnant," Pete spoke up, worry etched on his face. "Doesn't Venice want kids?" Type asked, a little belligerently. "Of course he does. And we would all be thrilled. But I think we would all agree that, at this point, Rain is too young. He needs to finish Uni and live life a little bit before he gets tied down by parenthood," Pete said, patting Type's arm. Type looked mollified. "I have the contraceptives from my heats. They are soluble in water and are guaranteed to stop pregnancy," Rome spoke up. "That's a good idea. They will need energy drinks. Just add it in those," Chai said. Pete nodded, and he and Type quickly prepared what was needed and left it just outside Phayu's room.

Phayu and Rain stayed that way for three days, before Rain's heat and Phayu's rut began to subside. They had taken moments in between to replenish themselves, but most of the time, it was touch and go. Phayu had knotted in Rain more times than he cared to count, and both their bodies were littered with marks and hickeys. But somehow, despite everything, Phayu took care not to mark Rain. He didn't want to do anything like that in the madness of his rut, and thankfully, both his wolf and his Lycan resected his decision and agreed wholly with him.

Phayu was the first to stir into consciousness. He felt the weight of a body on him and looked down. Rain slept blissfully in his arms. Phayu felt a stirring in his gut. His first rut with a mate, with his Omega. Rain looked so sweet that Phayu couldn't help but kiss him on his upturned nose, smiling as his heart finally settled into place. So this is how it felt to be with the one you loved, the one who the Moon Goddess had made for you. He sent up a fervent prayer of thanks that he had finally found his Rain. He had always believed that he could hold on. Although it had become harder and harder as he saw his friends and cousins fall in love, he had hoped that his time would come, that the right person would come when it was meant.

But this little boy had stolen his heart from the first moment. He had given himself to Rain body and soul. Even when Rain had not shown any kind of interest, he knew that it was because the boy had been hurt. Rain's story had pained him, but he was glad his sweet boy had let it all out. And given him a chance. He smiled again as Rain scrunched his nose in his sleep. 'How cute', he thought, as he kissed his baby on his forehead, then his nose, slowly slipping out of bed. He desperately needed to get fresh, and then he had to take care of his baby too. He put a pillow where he had been, shaking his head and chuckling when Rain made a cute snuffling sound and snuggled into it.

Phayu took a shower and then drew a bath. He added some stuff that Uncle Khun's son Krit had given him, swearing it was good for the skin. Although Phayu had never used it, he hoped it would soothe his Omega. He had never ever wanted to hurt Rain, and then this had happened. While he would never regret spending his rut with his beloved, he also had to find out how Rain had gotten here. What the hell had happened? And how the hell had his family allowed it to happen? He could feel himself shift, so he dug his hands into the edge of the bathroom sink, leaving dents in it. He took a deep breath and stepped back. Right now, his Omega needed him. Everything and everyone else could come much, much later!

The moment the tub was filled with water, Phayu went out to wake Rain up and saw that his mate was stirring. "Rain," he whispered softly, gently stroking the boy's hair. "Phi?" Rain looked at him, adorably confused. "Umm.. where.. where am I?" he asked. "My room," Phayu said, worried about Rain's reaction. "Your room? Why am I in your room Phi?" Rain asked, looking puzzled. Phayu was petrified. This had been his biggest worry. What if Rain hated him now? But he couldn't possibly lie to his Omega. "I got my rut, and you..," he trailed off, unable to continue, mortally afraid that Rain would reject him and walk out. "Oh my God!" Rain said, jumping into Phayu's arms, shocking the Alpha. "Rain?" he asked, now the confused one.

"That day Phi, you got your rut. And your brother sent me away. But I couldn't bear it Phi! They had to bring me back or I would have died!" Rain said, flopping back dramatically, spreadeagled like a starfish. Phayu couldn't stop his smile from escaping. His baby was so fucking adorable! "So you are not angry with me?" he asked, still a tad bit worried. "Angry!? I am not angry! I am furious! But not with you! I am not going to talk to your brother ever!" Rain said, crossing his arms over his chest. Laughter bubbled up in Phayu's chest. Rain probably hadn't realised that he was completely naked and his pose, matched with his pout, made him look like an angry bird with puffed out cheeks. He gamely swallowed. "I am sure baby. But for now, it's time to freshen up and go meet everyone, okay?" he said. "Do we have to?" Rain whined, trying to pull Phayu back into bed, but the older man resisted, instead carrying his Omega for his bath.
