V - Hunting Evil 11

"You know what guys? You both go home, freshen up, and then come back. Then we will take a turn. No point all of us sitting here and breaking our heads. We will hand it all over to you then," Pai said. "Okay. I guess that makes sense. We will be back as soon as possible. But be sure to call us back if something happens," Phayu said, and Sky shooed them out. "I will drop you off and then pick you up again," Phayu said. "Phi, your house comes first. I can take a cab," Rain said. "No. Okay, once my house comes, drop me off and take the car with you. Pick me up after you are done at home. Ple must be waiting," Phayu said.

"She is on the 24 roster today Phi," Rain said, smiling. Phayu lost his train of thought for a moment. He loved seeing Rain smile. He mentally shook his head. "Then just stay with me," he said. "What?" Rain asked, a little shocked. "Rain, my brother is also not home. Plus, we have a guest room, if that's what you are worried about. Just stay with me, it will be easier to come to work later. I am sure I can dig out some clothes for you to change into," Phayu said, hoping with all his heart that Rain would agree. Rain looked at Phayu for a moment, and clearly saw the naked desire in his lover's eyes. "I will come Phi. But I have a condition," he said. "I agree!" Phayu said. "Before knowing what I want to ask?" Rain asked. "Whatever you ask, I agree," Phayu said. Rain smiled to himself. "I want to sleep with you," he said, and watched in delight as Phayu choked on his own spit!

Phayu stood under the coldest shower possible. He had let Rain go first, and gone to see what to do about food. When he had gone back to his room, Rain had just stepped out. Phayu's breath had stuck in his throat. Rain was wearing nothing but one of his shirts, that rode up as he dried his hair. Phayu had muttered something and rushed past him into the bathroom. Now he was really regretting his promise about letting Rain stay in his room. His erection refused to come down, and he realised that he needed to take things into his hands. Literally!

"Too cold," Rain's voice slithered into his ears as his hands banded around Phayu's body, sliding upwards until his thumbs were stroking his lover's nipples. Phayu gasped, head thrown back, as Rain rubbed his hands all over his torso, before taking one hand away to adjust the water temperature. "Rain, what are you doing?" Phayu gritted out. "Well, since you decided to be all gentlemanly, I decided to be the slut," Rain said, standing on his toes and sucking Phayu's neck, knowing well that he would be leaving a mark. Phayu whirled around, lifting Rain up, their lips crashing, tongues duelling, his arms banded around his boy's lithe body. Rain gave back as good as he got, his hands in a death grip in Phayu's hair, legs locked at the ankles, moving so their cocks rubbed against each other's creating a delicious friction.

Phayu wasted no time in thrusting his fingers into Rain, who moaned, sucking Phayu's tongue in a desperate attempt to make Phayu hurry with whatever he was doing. Phayu adjusted Rain, putting his back to the wall. Rain squirmed a bit at the feel of the cold tiles on his back, but the discomfort was soon forgotten as Phayu continued his assault. Phayu pulled out his fingers and Rain whined at the loss. But Phayu immediately thrust himself into Rain, hitting his prostrate immediately, making Rain moan at the sensation. Phayu looked at his boy, head thrown back in surrender, eyes closed, face awash with need as the water sluiced off his body. Phayu wanted to be gentle, but Rain wouldn't let him, pressing his body into Phayu's his desire mounting with each thrust. Phayu could feel Rain's and his own orgasm drawing closer, so he moved faster, until Rain splintered, moaning, his ass clenching around Phayu's rigid length, making him shudder and spill his cum into Rain's ass.

Rain's head fell into Phayu's shoulder, clearly indicating the boy was replete, and since Phayu felt the same, he could hardly complain now, could he? He shifted Rain, as he slid out of him, making his boy whine a bit at the loss of contact. Phayu couldn't stop smiling as he washed Rain up, enfolding him in a soft, fluffy bath towel. Rain was too sleepy to protest, allowing Phayu to continue his ministrations without a word, and finally nodding off as they slipped into bed. Phayu stared down at the boy sleeping in his arms. Saifah had once called him a wolf, and Phayu had resented that quite a bit. But today, he finally felt like one. He had read somewhere that wolves mated for life, often pining away once their mate died. Phayu felt that today. He knew, with utmost clarity in that moment that, in this lifetime, there would be no one else for him. No one but Rain could fill those empty spots in his heart with warmth and happiness. He smiled, stroking Rain's hair away from his face, softly kissing his forehead, before dropping into sleep as well.

Ple stared at her phone for the nth time, willing it to light up. It had been a generally quiet day, but she had deliberately taken up the 24 hour roster. She knew that if she stayed at home, Rain would definitely come back, wanting to protect her. She did not want to be a distraction to him, and wanted him to focus wholly on the case, and maybe a little bit on Phayu. She had been aware that her brother's LT was attracted to him, maybe more than liked him, but she had not been prepared for his very direct confession. She sighed, then looked at her phone again. "It will not ring if you glare at it this way." She looked up at a voice from the doorway.

Ple blushed a bit. Dr. Saifah Soikham was one of the youngest, and one of the hottest doctors in Bangkok Hospital. And with psychic abilities. She had guessed he was telekinetic, but of course, she wouldn't tell him that. Or about herself. Since the time they had moved to Bangkok, Ple had been crushing big time on him. But she was pretty sure a man like him, rich, successful, and handsome to boot, would never be interested in a person like her. But a girl could dream, couldn't she? She shook her head. "Just waiting on a message from someone Phi," she said politely. He was her direct boss after all. No point letting him know of her silly and girly crush on him.

"Boyfriend?" Saifah asked, frowning a bit, watching Ple mask herself in a way that he hated. The new resident had caught his interest immediately. She was intensely focused on her career, unlike many of the doctors who came to work there. She would absorb every piece of information he could give and then repeat it word to word. But it was her sad eyes, hidden behind her bright smile, that pulled him in like nothing else. She was beautiful, in a very restrained way. She was always polite, respectful, and maintained her boundaries all too well. For once, he wanted to see that perfect façade fall away, so that he could see the real Ple. And he was sure she had another face, something that would probably send him reeling.

"No Phi, brother," she replied. "You have a brother?" Saifah asked. "I didn't see that information," he added. "Where did you see my information Phi?" she asked, surprised. Saifah stumbled a bit. How could he tell her that he had read her file like a 100 times? "As your boss, I saw your dossier. There was no brother mentioned in the family section," he said. "Not by blood Phi, but in every way that counts," Ple said, and Saifah was completely sidetracked by the gentleness that settled in on her face. So this was what the 'real' Ple looked like, he thought to himself, mesmerised despite himself, and surprised by the intensity of his feelings. He didn't know whether to feel happy that she had a family, or irritated how some random person could elicit this response from her. He shook his head. He definitely needed a break! He was about to ask her more questions when a code blue was announced and they both rushed to do their job. Feelings could take a backseat for now!

"Sooooo, LT and the rookie," Pai said. "What do you think about it?" "I think it's great. LT looks relaxed, despite the horror of a case that we are working on. His temper seems more even. Rain centres P'Phayu," Sky said. "And I have a feeling that Rain also finds a kind of solace in Phi. I have noticed it a couple of times now. Whenever Rain feels a little overwhelmed, Phi just gently touches him, like really softly, trying to be inconspicuous, but it's obvious that Rain gets relief from that one gesture," Pai said. "Probably because Phi is a shield. Must be a shield for Rain too," Sky said. "That's actually saying something. I was thinking how we have Rain who can feel everything on one side, and our highly stoic LT, who lets nothing and no one in, on the other side. You would think there would be a major personality clash. But what do they do? Take one look and tumble, literal sparks flying around," Pai said drolly, shaking his head in amazement, making Sky laugh. "Some people are meant to find each other Phi," he said shyly. Pai smiled at the love of his life and was about to respond when his phone rang. Sky watched as Pai's smile dropped, replaced by an expression of horror!

Phayu felt something buzz and realised it was his phone. Rain's gentle breathing on his chest was a warm cocoon, and he just wanted to bask in his lover's softness. But this was a critical time, so he quietly unentangled himself and picked it up. "Phi! You need to come back right now!" Sky's panicked voice cleared the fog in his head immediately. "What happened?" he asked crisply, and Rain stirred beside him. Although he hated this, they had no choice. It was better Rain was up. They had barely got in a couple of hours of sleep, but he knew it would be enough for now. "Something has happened. It's big, or Sky would not have called me in this mad panic," Phayu said, after Sky had told him to come in first, before they would share the news. "I have my some of my cousin's clothes here. I think it will fit you. Dao and you are around the same size," he added, leaving the room quickly.

Rain hopped into the bathroom to shower away the last of the cobwebs, and dressed quickly. By the time Phayu came out, he had coffee ready in two go-cups that he had ferreted out from somewhere. Phayu took it gratefully and dropped a kiss on Rain's nose, before they rushed to the precinct. When they reached the bullpen, the whole place was in an uproar. "What the hell happened?" Phayu barked out, the moment the Pai came into view. "The journalist who broke the news about the cop being a suspect is missing," he said, to the shock of both Phayu and Rain. "What?! How and when the hell did that happen?" Phayu asked, rapidly moving towards the conference room, Pai and Rain tow. "We have no idea. Her cameraman said that she had gone to get drinks for them and never came back. He called her several times, but the phone kept going to voicemail. He said that's completely unlike her as she is glued to that thing even in sleep," Sky said, looking up, worry etched on his face.

"Is he changing pattern?" Phayu asked, looking at Sky's notes. "No. This is a one-off, I am sure of that. While it is not random pick, they took her for one of two reasons; one, she was too close to the truth. Two, they think she knows more than she let on," Rain said. "Comb everything we have, and when I say everything, I mean everything! Hit the warehouses again. I want Khun Arthit and that journalist back home as soon as possible," Phayu said, picking up files and laying them out. Rain pulled up his laptop and set to work, as did Pai. Sky verified his notes as he had them, from the files, getting up now and then to adjust the timeline as he felt fit. "I think I found something!" Rain and Pai spoke up at the same time, staring at each other, and Phayu and Sky stared at them. "You can go first Phi," Rain said. "Jom has a sister. A twin. She was never added to their household registry as she was brought up by Jom's father's brother and sister in-law. They didn't have children of their own, so they requested the adoption. Jom's parents agreed, thinking they would have to worry about one child less. However, when the girl was 10, the parents dies, and she was paralysed in the same accident. It took her 6 years to get cured and leave the sanatorium. She wanted to go back to her family, but they didn't want anything to do with her. She is decently placed though, thanks to her adopted family, better off than Jom's family, so she lives independently," Pai said, sending shockwaves through the room.

"A twin means, she is the same age and in the correct age range," Sky said. "Which is why I felt something off about Jom," Rain said. "Does he know his sister is a killer?" Phayu asked. "Rain shook his head. "No, but he has a feeling. That's why he reacted that way at the bodies he saw," Rain said. "And what did you have Rain?" Sky asked. "Six years before the first murder by the 'Brunette Bomber', there was another case in the system. 6 high school girls, all between 16 and 17 years of age, were poisoned using a very heavy dose of Rohypnol and sedatives. It was mixed in their mocktails and they all died within a two hour period. A lot of people were questioned, but no one was willing to talk or admit anything. Turns out, these 6 girls were nefarious in their high school as bullies. A new girl had been almost bullied to death," Rain said, laying out the relevant facts. A deathly silence permeated the conference room as the other three tried to process this rather horrible and bizarre information!
