I - All for Love 4 (Finale)

"Rainy boyyyyy!!!" Uncle Thankhun was the first to greet him, hugging him and sweeping him off his feet. Rain smiled as he hugged the man back. After he had been deposited back to his feet, he hugged the others and they all made their way to the living room, wanting to know everything that had been happening. "Still a bit upset with you sweetie," Pete said, as he pulled Rain closer to him on the couch. "True! Why didn't you tell us you are back in Bangkok? And also bought a property, and set up an entire show!" Sky said, pouting. Rain laughed, making everyone smile at the shenanigans of the two friends. "I wanted to give you a surprise!" Rain said. "And it was indeed a big one!" Vegas said, ruffling Rain's hair, making him smile. Despite Rain trying to maintain his distance from this family, somehow, he just couldn't. Or rather, they just wouldn't let him.

"I heard P'Venice was back Pa. Can I meet him at least this time?" Rain asked. "Of course sweetie! He got wet in the rain last night, and is sleeping off a bit of a fever, but he will be down soon," Pete said. "Who will be down soon?" Rain stiffened at the sleep roughened voice, a voice he would recognise anywhere, the voice of the person who had taken him apart and put him together just last night. He squeezed his eyes to stop the tears from falling. "Ah Ven! Glad you are here. Meet the cutest member of our family, Varain. Rain, this is Venice; Pete and Vegas's son," Porche said, smiling. Rain turned around, a smile on his face. "Swasdi Khap P'Venice. I am really honoured to meet you," he said, waiing deeply.

Phayu's eyes had widened at the introduction, but slitted at Rain's very formal greeting. He was about to say something when he caught the shimmer of tears in his boy's eyes, realising that he had majorly fucked-up. And there was no way he would be able to talk to the boy alone without his family wanting to know the reason why. Plus, seeing Rain's expression, it was clear to Phayu that Rain had decided in his head that Phayu had only used him for sex. And that made it somehow worse. It was the hardest lunch he had had, and the longest. He was itching to go talk to Rain, but there was no way he would embarrass him right here, right now. He decided that he would approach Rain as he was leaving, relaxing a bit. Then Vlad called, and when Phayu came back after that, Rain had already left. Phayu could simply kill himself.

He rushed to Rain's house, but no one was there. The next morning, as he took delivery for coffee to the warehouse, he looked around for Rain, going as far as to even ask one of the employees, but they only could tell him that Khun Rain had taken a couple of days off, and they had no idea when he would come back. Phayu was at wits' end. His only thought was to somehow get to Rain and explain his side of the story, no matter what it took. So he did the only thing his mind asked him to.. his family. He rushed home to talk to everyone, including Sky. Thankfully, everyone was at home, looking up as Phayu burst in. "What happened lu?" Kinn asked, the first to see him.

"Where is he? Where is Rain?" Phayu ignored everyone and looked directly at Sky. "At home I guess?" Sky said, looking surprised. "He is not there. Anywhere else he could be?" Phayu asked. "At his studio?" Sky said. "Not there either," Phayu said, shaking his head. "Then probably in Chiang Mai?" Sky said, looking very confused at this point, just like the others. "What happened Yu?" Saifah asked, looking worried. He had never seen Phayu this disturbed before. Phayu dropped down on the couch. "I messed up. Really badly!" Phayu said, head in his hands. "Can you please explain?" Vegas said, on the verge of losing patience. Phayu recounted everything that had happened in the past few days, and the whole family was torn between exasperation and pity. Exasperation because Phayu had not explained to Rain who he was, and pity because they felt sorry that he had been so dumb. But they were all worried about Rain as well.

Rain looked up from where he was pouring hot water over his tea bag when he heard the bell ring. He was surprised, but not too concerned because even though he had not told anyone he was home, it was a small community, and someone or the other must have seen the lights on the previous night. But to his horror, and heartbreak, it was Phayu. "May I come in?" Phayu asked, his face and voice dull and fatigue etched in it. Although Rain was reluctant, he nodded, and turned around and walked away, expecting Phayu to follow.

"How did you find me? Don't tell me Sky..," Rain trailed off when Phayu shook his head. "I am lucky he did not skin me alive for hurting you. I pinged the last known location of your cell phone," Phayu said sheepishly. "What do you need Phi? Are you not done with the challenge? Was it fun? Adding me as a notch to your bedpost?" Rain asked, his bitterness clear. "Rain, please, hear me out, okay?" Phayu begged. Rain shrugged and turned away. Phayu took solace in the fact that Rain had not left, or thrown him out, launching immediately into an explanation.

"Rain, I do identify as bi, but the truth is, after an extremely failed relationship when I was in high school, I had never been with a man. I belong to a Mafia family, and for me, relationships cannot be anything more until there is complete faith. Naturally, as you can see, it was not like that for me. It was hard for me to fall in love, so I kept myself at a distance with it. When I threw out the challenge, it was mainly because I was pissed as fuck with your attitude. But the truth is.. somewhere along the line, I fell truly, madly, deeply in love with you. You were not, and are not, and will never be, a notch in my bedpost Rain. When I made love that day with you, I came to you with my whole heart and soul. I knew I should have given you full disclosure, but it was the first time in my life someone talked to me, cared for me, scolded me, liked me, for what I was, and not for what my name was. And honestly? I was not ready to let that go. I may have lied to you about who I was, but never for my feelings about you, I promise you!" Phayu said, standing in front of Rain, looking him in the eyes, wanting Rain to see his sincerity.

"Why did you pretend to be a coffee delivery boy?" Rain asked, believing Phayu, but still wanting to understand why all this had happened. "Maybe we can answer that lu," Kinn said, as the whole family walked into Rain's house. "You see lu, we knew you were back in Bangkok, and the property you bought was one on our radar for some reasons. Venice was simply put in place to protect you, because he was the only member of the family you had not seen," Vegas said. Rain stared at them, quirking a brow at Sky. "I swear I didn't know about it!" he said, raising his hand in mock surrender. "He didn't. He is not lying," Porche said. "And Rain, there is something else," Pete said, as he looked at the boy he considered a son. "From the first moment I saw you, you became my son, and there was nothing more I wanted in the world than wanting you as my family. Putting Phayu there was purely for selfish reasons."

This time Phayu stared at his family too. "I mean, okay, I did fall in love with him, but what the heck were you guys thinking?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck in a frustrated motion. "YOU LOVE HIMMMMM?" Thankhun screeched, making everyone cringe back at the noise. Phayu sighed. "I do," he said, calmly and quietly, looking at Rain. "But.. but.. you will not ask him anything. Because it has to be his choice. Please don't force him to reply," Phayu said, glaring at everyone. "Actually..," Rain trailed off as every eye was trained on him. "I do love P'Phayu," Rain said and then raised his hand before anyone could interrupt. "But this time, he will have to pursue me properly before I can say yes," he added, looking at the man who had made him feel things he had never ever wanted to. Phayu nodded. "Trust me Rain, you are never going to know what hit you, I promise," he said, holding Rain's hand to his cheek, his love shining for the world to see!

10 years later

"Who is that?" a young girl whispered, as a tall man in a black suit, and a long black overcoat strode into the offices of Serene Designs, one of the world's biggest prêt-à-porter fashion houses, with branches across the world. His aura and presence was chilling, but there was no one around who could look away from the danger that oozed from every pore. "That's Khun Varain's husband, Khun Venice. Isn't he hot?" another girl chirped. "He looks like the mafia! So stern..," she trailed off as in front of her very eyes, the stern, stoic man looked like he had become a puddle of goo, as he held out a go-cup of coffee to the man who walked upto him, as the two of them literally glowed with happiness.

Ten years ago, Rain had given permission to Phayu to hit on him, and Phayu had done anything and everything to prove himself. Three months later, Rain agreed to become Phayu's boyfriend, and two years later, they got married, legally, thanks to Thailand legalising same-sex marriages, which turned out to be a joyous and momentous occasion as the other family members, who had been married elsewhere, had taken the opportunity to confirm their vows to each other. Rain and Sky had planned it out, much to the love and gratitude of the rest of the couples, who had been touched that Phayu and Rain had been willing to share their ceremony with everyone.

"Playing delivery boy again Phi?" Rain asked, smiling up at his husband, who could not resist, bending down and kissing Rain. "Has that ever changed?" Phayu asked, smiling from ear to ear. It had been the constant of their lives. Every single day, since the time Rain had formally allowed Phayu to court him again, Phayu had taken time, come hell or highwater, to be the one who delivered coffee to the love of his life, and that never would change also, if he had his way, for the rest of their lives, did death did them part!
