(Mothers POV)

I walked into the hospital room and saw my son, staring at me. He smiled and I ran to greet my son "You actually came" he said and weakly grinned "of course I did, Albert, why wouldn't I?"I said, pulling up a chair so I could sit next to him "You didn't show up when I had my talent show when you said you would" he groggily said looking up at me. I looked at him and frowned "I'm still so sorry I didn't come, your brother had something happen and he ne-" "He always needs you and you have all this time for him but why not me? why can't you make time for me at least"  Albert said, raising his voice. "Ok listen, I know I never had the time and i never did but your brother needs me."I said trying to keep him calm "Why, is it because he's younger by two years or-" "No he's ill!"I yelled, interrupting him making his eyebrows furrow "He has paranoia and he's had it for years"I said sternly catching him off guard " why haven't you told me this?" he asked while sitting up. I turned to him and grabbed his hand "lay back down, you need your body to relax"I said, making him lay back on the white pillow "how am I supposed to relax after what you said?" he muttered looking at me "I didn't want you to be worried so I kept it from you"I said while slowly tearing up and slowly rubbing my thumb on the top of his hand. "Mrs.Colburn, can you step outside real quick, " the doctor asked, walking into the room "Yeah, sure"I said standing from the chair and to walking out the door and outside of his room "The doctors said the bullet stopped behind his lung and he might need a lung transplant but other from that he would be good" she said in a whisper. "Momma? can you come here" Albert called from inside the room, I ran over to his bed and sat in the chair "are you ok, baby?" I asked while I fought the urge to cry "I don't feel good" he said while the loud beeping filled the room, I clutched his hand and felt how cold his hands were "its ok, baby, your gonna be ok"I said while my voice broke the loud beeps stopped into one continuous beep.
