The half-moon shone down from the sky, to ThunderClan's camp. 

Suddenly four exhausted looking cats stumbled into the camp.

"What happened?"

"Sh-shad-dow C-cl-lan at-attacked-d u-us" a pale ginger she-cat stuttered, then collasped.

"No! Cloverheart! Woodshade! Come quickly!"

The brown medicine cat and his snowy-white apprentice rushed to the four cats.

Icestar silently walked out of his den. He saw his best friend since kithood, Woodshade also couldn't sleep.

"When will there ever be peace for ThunderClan?" Icestar sighed.

"Our ancestors will guide us through this"

Abruptly, a blazing red comet flashed through the sky.

"Was that a bad omen?" Icestar was shocked.

"No", Woodshade answered calmly, "Our ancestors meant: The star of embers shall save the forest "
