Sweet icy spirit
~mystery persons POV~
"Awe. Here you go sweetie. Use it wisely, I'm sorry I couldn't give you more." The nice lady handed me $20. My stomach gave a fierce growl. I blushed.
"Thank you..." I clutched the money to my chest. "You will be blessed. I know it." I gave her a soft smile. "Your a sweet lady."
She laughed. "Oh your so cute. Despite those ugly scars you bare, your probably the sweetest being on this earth." She ruffled my hair before walking off.
I watched her leave before getting onto my shaky legs. I used the wall to walk along the sidewalk. I walked into the nearest McDonalds and ordered some food, only spending about a few dollars of the 20 that lady gave me.
I couldn't help but notice the boy at the cash register. He had to be as old as I was... How old was I anyway? I didn't get to choose my form when...
"Here you go... Sir?" He seemed a little hesitant. Guess the scars on my face can do that.
"Thank very much..." I mumbled and reached out to take my food when I was hit from behind. I gasped and stumbled onto the counter.
"Hey- watch it." The kid snarled at me. I recognized him as the guy who stole my money once and beat me up.
"I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have been in your way. Please forgive me." I learned one thing in this cruel world. Do whatever you can to stay alive. And sucking up to this guy was going to save me for anther week. Last time I almost died.
"You better be." He growled.
"Hey. Don't cause trouble Dalton. He's just getting his food." The cashier boy snarled. I jumped a little and look at him again.
Dalton scoffed. "Oh please Jeremy. He's a hobo! He lives on that street corner over there. He looks creepy too! Look at his face." Dalton jerked my chin in Jeremy's view. I averted my eyes to the floor. "He's cold to. Like ice or something!"
As quickly as I could, I jerked out of his grip, grabbed the food that would help let me live anther week, before running out the door. I ran back to my street corner and curled up in the back of a close alley. I started eating my fries and nuggets slowly, despite being so hungry.

"It's going to snow tonight kid. You better find somewhere to huddle up." A man walking along the street called to me, his eyes filled with concern. Parents just seemed to always look worried about me, it's what kept me along so far.
"Thank you sir. I think I can live through this winter. It'll be easy." I gave him my most re assuring smile before ducking back into my sweater.
The man shrugged and kept walking.
"It's been three years hasn't it?" I whispered to myself as I looked up at the sky.
Snow started drifting down. I smiled, I felt closer to home than I ever have felt. I came from a more snowy place. I don't remember what it was called, but it was always cold, and snow and ice was everywhere, so Ice Spirits could roam free with no worry.
Yeah, I'm and ice spirit.
