WANTED: Dead or Alive
"I DONT CARE HOW LONG THIS SEARCH WILL TAKE!"
"JUST FIND THE DAMN BASTARD AND BRING HIM TO ME!"
The voice echoed through his hollow ear. The ringing sensation was overwhelming because of his strong, deep, angered voice. Bryn fixed up his glasses and nodded.
"Y...Yes sir."
Was all he could say. Nothing more, nothing less. If so this would just anger his boss. Just hearing the boss' grumbly voice made his heart pound and beat of sweat. He could feel the tense feeling of every vein in him pumping in his skin and the slight beating pulse on his head. His boss was so infuriated he could see the veins popping out from his neck, all the way to his forehead.
This situation was really serious.
Bryn was lost in thought and in words. His boss just glared up at him and barked in a shrilling angered tone.
"WELL? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! GET OUT THERE AND CATCH THE DAMN THIEF!"
Bryn quickly snapped out of it, and nodded. He ran out and called the others and went into the car.
The sirens started to noise as they drove throughout the whole city.

BRYN'S POV:
The sirens noised as I drove through the third street at Parker Avenue. I felt the minutes get tense every second as a cold drop of sweat trickled from my forehead. My thoughts were racing, but the one thing in my mind that stood from the rest?
Him.
We HAVE to find him.
My hands were shaking as I turned the wheel and turned to the left. Right where the incident happened not so long ago.
A murder scene of a young twenty year old high-school student named Joshua Evergreens. The incident had occurred at exactly 6:05pm around the corner of St. Isabelle's Cathedral. The victim was just walking home from his way to school but was unfortunately grabbed by the wrist and threatened to give whatever he had by the killer. After doing as instructed due to great fear, he tried to scream for help but was immediately struck in the head and stabbed three times in the chest.
My partner noticed my anxiety and gave a pat on my shoulder. This didn't really calm me as expected but I appreciated his effort.
"Its alright Bryn, we're gonna find that son of a bastard -- just keep looking"
I shut my eyes for a slight second then took a deep breath. I nodded then kept going. We were approximately 30 minutes away from the area. I kept my eyes open as my eyes searched through the sea of emptiness and darkness throughout Parker Street. I took a turn for the left and entered Coalsmith Street.
It was the same old dark and empty street, it was always like that. This was that one street that sent chills down my spine every time I drove through there. Coalsmith Street was infamously also known as "Hell's Den".
Sounds scary huh? This street has been known for the eerie coincidences that had happen at around this street. And all these coincidences, happen at exactly, 6:06pm or am. Countless cases of murder, drug usage, rape, kidnapping and stealing have all occurred in this one hell hole.
Trust me, we had to take care of most of our cases here.
Bench, my partner, was pretty much used to the eeriness. I for one, wasn't. To add to the creepiness, this place is also infamously known for paranormal activities and haunting footages captured on CCTV cameras. Restless souls of the victims would lurk this place in search for their once living corpse and take revenge over those who killed them. Although these souls can often mistaken other people as their killer and kill them instead.
Well to pretty much say in terms, this place was definitely not called "Hell's Den" for no reason.
I honestly envy my partner for having more courage than me. I was a scaredy cat. He didn't really believe in ghosts but I did. Yes, it's kind of embarrassing but I do. Though I was glad to have him with me, always having someone to reassure you that everything is going to be okay was always something to help me loosen up my stress.
One thing I'm mostly glad about though? Is that our case wasn't here this time. Like mentioned, it occurred around the corner of St. Isabelle's Cathedral, which was just a few turns ahead.

--TIME LAPSE--
BRYN'S POV:
We finally drove out of that hell hole. Actually we did ten minutes ago, I just brought this up late. A member of our crew had dispatched Bench and I.
"We are now at the murder scene, come quickly!"
"The investigators and paramedics are here as well, over and out"
"Got'cha Dan! Over and out"
Bench responded. We were nearly there, just a few minutes away. I took a turn for the right, the Cathedral was right up ahead. But then all of a sudden...
BAM!
The deafening sound had me and Bench in utter shock. The car had suddenly stopped. I was puzzled, confused on what the hell had happened. Bench started looking around to check what had happened, I did too. I tried starting the car again, though the damn thing wouldn't budge. I checked the car, the systems were working, the gas was full.
What the hell happened?
"Bloody hell!"
I groaned as I hit the wheel and laid back in frustration. Bench thought, then said
"You think we popped a tire?"
I thought, then shook my head in disagreement. I pursed my lips then smacked them as I let out a sigh.
"That can't be, theres no way in hell our tire could just suddenly pop out of no where! Thats absurd! Besides, there aren't even any damn rocks on this place!"
"Calm down Bryn, were nearly there-- lets just walk there, its just right up ahead!"
He's right. It was just five minutes away from us. I sighed, then I nodded and quickly unfastened my seatbelt and got out the car along with Bench and ran towards our headed location.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bryn and Bench ran towards the location and met with the familiar red and blue haze of the sirens light from the corner. All the other policeman have arrived, including the investigators and the paramedics. The sound of talking and sirens blowing sounded throughout the whole location.
BRYN'S POV:
We ran towards a man who's hair was a shade of dark bloody red, and eyes hazel brown. He wore an attire similar to that of mine and Bench's. His head shifted towards us after hearing our approaching footsteps and sighed of relief.
"Ah, there you are"
He said as he motioned us to come closer and look at the crime scene.
The place was deserted, and in the middle of that deserted place lay a the lifeless corpse of a young, once living high-school student who goes by the name of Joshua Evergreens. The view was so sickening yet depressing, seeing the visible guts of a somewhat 17 year old get ripped off making the blood seep through his deep severe wounds.
Aden, one of the police officers, was on the phone talking to the victims family and trying to reassure them that we were on the case and that he would update them soon on what has happened to their poor victimized son. Some of the other policemen were investigating the place for any upcoming dangers while the investigators studied the crime scene. The paramedics studied the victim and tried to sense for any sign of life, but couldn't. The health team then came up and picked up the corpse onto the mat and brought him into the ambulance and drove away, hoping that they could somewhat bring him back.
"Tragic, isn't it?"
He said as he gave us a look and sighed. Bench and I just looked at each other, then back at him and nodded. I tried not to get overwhelmed by the depression of losing another victim, so I loosened up and spoke out with all the courage I had left in me.
"So, whats up for us Chav?"
Chaverick, the man whom was talking to us, perked up and pointed towards the back of the Cathedral. Just looking at it gave me the chills down my spine, my lower back was already sweating massively. I never really liked dark places, especially if it was somewhere religious. I just always seemed to have this weird vibe around them.
"Well the others are investigating the place already, I do suggest you go check it out for yourself..."
"What are they doing there?"
"To check if we missed out on any bodies -- I do suggest you two be careful though..."
"Why? What happened?"
"Parker hasn't come back or contacted us yet, neither has Joe -- and its been literally an hour now, maybe you can go on and check on them to see if they're alright?"
"I... I uh.."
I stuttered out. Hearing that they haven't come back yet made my stomach twist and turn. I felt uneasy, the hair on the back of my neck stand up as the anxiety in me grew, I thought:
Parker and Joe hadn't come back yet? This is getting really serious. Whatever happened to them? Well, whatever it is, it gave me a creepy vibe. Just by the look of that place, didn't feel right.
Agh! probably I'm just being my paranoid self again.
Bench patted me on the shoulder then spoke up
"We'll check right on it chief!"
"Thank you, though I cant help seeing you two go alone like they did, I suggest Dan, Jay and I come along with you"
Phew
I honestly was so relieved after hearing that one line. Even if I may be with my partner, still its nice to have some more company while you're at it. I really wanted to breathe from relief, but I didn't want them to see that I can be such a coward in certain occasions like this.
Chaverick called up two men and the two men came running. One who wore a messy undercut and had deep brown eyes and one who had black hair and hazel brown eyes, just like Chaverick's.
"Whats up chief?"
Asked Jay, the one who wore a messy undercut. Chaverick pointed towards the back of the Cathedral and proceeded to tell them about our duty.
"We must investigate the area"
"A.. Aren't Joe and P.. Parker I.. In charge of.. Th.. That?"
Stuttered out Dan, who as you could guess, was the one who came along with Jay. He was the shy and quiet type among us, mostly because we were are older than him, and to him, it made him feel out of place and uncomfortable in some sort of way. I mean, this kids only seventeen. Well yeah I may be a year older but still. He rubbed his arm and dangled his head to the side and let out a meek mutter.
"Wh.. Where are they..?"
The words creeped out from his lips. Chaverick looked at the area with a seemingly worried expression, then shifted back to the four of us.
"I'm not sure, they must have gotten lost in the darkness, we should go help them out"
The four of us glanced at him, then towards each other. We sighed then nodded.
Something wasn't right about that place, we all knew it.
