Ben-Snoke's Punisments
The hallway was quiet and cold. Colder and quieter than usual. It had been a day, that's all the time it took for them to know something was wrong. Even if he was sick he'd muster enough energy to tell them he wasn't feeling well. But not today.
Phasma and Hux were making their way to his room in a rather fast rush. It was the trios day off so it wasn't like they needed to be anywhere. They instructed the troopers to stay out of Kylo's wing, just to diminish the risk of Snoke finding out.
"Phas slow down!" Hux hissed struggling to keep up with her. 'This is what I get for dating a woman who's 6'3' He thought.
"Sorry but this is important!" She muttered.
"He's probably fine." Hux said half genuine.
"If he was he would have called. You know he would."
She stopped them at his door. They looked at each other, wondering who would knock. Phasma bit her lips and knocked lightly. Hux unknowingly held his breath.
"Kylo?" She hummed. There was shifting around inside. "It's us. Can we come in?"
No response.
"We're coming in anyway then." Hux huffed. Phasma protested but Hux was already putting the code in to enter. The door slid open with a hiss.
The lights were off with the only light coming faintly from behind the curtains. Nothing was out of place. In its entirety the room looked exactly the same as it always did. The two focused on the lump in the bed however. He had his back to them. The light from the hall flooded in. Ben just groaned and shifted.
"Hey," She said softly sitting at the edge of the bed. "You didn't show up to breakfast." He stayed silent.
"Or yesterday's breakfast, or lunch, or dinner." She continued. He didn't even move.
"Kylo?"
Nothing.
"Ben?"
"Just go Phas." He whispered. He shifted in bed moving the blankets higher over his shoulder.
"No something's wrong." Hux sighed. "And we're not leaving till we find out." Plopping onto the bed next to his love.
"I don't want to talk just leave." He whisper begged. He was starting to get agitated quickly. Phasma started to fidget slightly. Hux moved his hand over his thigh to calm her. Ben only curled up more.
"Ben," Phasma swallowed. "Please.."
"I SAID LEAVE!" He nearly shouted. His hands shot up to cover the sides of his head.
Several things instantly shattered around the room; the mirror split into half a million pieces, the glass of water on the night stand was nothing but little fragments and the pipes in the fresher burst. The two ducked in surprise and Ben shot up in bed.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled before slowly starting to hyperventilate. Things in the room began to shake.
"Hey look at me." She demanded, holding his hand. He was shaking but the rattling of objects around the room silenced. Her presence calmed him enough to be talked to.
"You're okay," She whispered. He closed his eyes to listen to her clearer but tears started to leak out of his eyes. She moved to hug him and calm him down more. "You're gonna be okay."
"You're lying." He hissed. She was shocked at the accusation. He turned away from her. That's when Hux intervened.
"Stop. You do this all the time when something is really bothering you." Hux stated. "What is it?" His tone was oddly sincere.
He glanced at them scared. He inhaled deeply and lifted his shirt enough to see his hip. There was a metal plate over his hip with blood running down around the edge. He sensed they're worry flood the room and it was not helping his unstable emotions.
"Wha-?" Hux couldn't even force his words out.
"Remember how Snoke had that test for me?" He whispered. "I failed."
Phasma seemed to snap back to reality after he spoke. She looked over at her boyfriend with a frantic look in her eyes.
"Go get my medical supplies." She said in a hushed voice.
"No!" Hux had already ran out before Ben could stop him though.
"Ben we have to get that thing off you. You've been bleeding for who knows how long!"
"You can't! You know what he'll do to us if he finds out you removed it!" He moved to talk to her but ended up hissing in pain instead.
"Does it look like I give a shit what Snoke thinks at this point?!? Family first, First Order second remember!?!" She was practically screaming at him.
Both guys knew that an angry Phasma was not to be messed with. Sure she could be loving, but if she was pissed enough she'd tackle him in a heartbeat and twist this arm till he admitted he was wrong. Hux like to sum it up to she was never mad just very, very, very, very, very protective. He couldn't tell if Hux said that out of truth or if he was afraid that if he ever said anything else that he'd be sleeping on the floor.
"We're getting that thing off, got it!?"
"Yes ma'am." He whispered in slight fear.
"Got the bag." Hux said quickly placing it down next to her. "And the cat."
"Get that thing out of my room." He moved to get away from Millicent only to have Phasma hold him in place.
"Lay on your side." She mumbled. He did as told and lay with the metal facing upwards towards the ceiling. "Armitage sit behind him and make sure he doesn't move too much."
He got into position and placed his hands on Ben's back and ribs to try and keep him steady. Even Millicent tried to help by cuddling close to his chest and purring. He hated that damn cat but everything hurt so bad he honestly welcomed it. His face was wet with tears and he started fidgeting with the pillow nervously. Phasma noticed and only felt dread about what wounds she see under the metal plate.
"Hey," She whispered lightly. "It's gonna be okay. If you feel lightheaded you know what to do." He nodded back quickly.
Hux looked at her a gave a subtle nod as well. He wouldn't say it but Hux was down right terrified of all of this. He's good at hiding his emotions, he always had. They'd all had punishments from Snoke and the mention of them sent Hux into horrific flashbacks.
Phasma focused her attention on the plate and began removing the screws and undoing the stitches around the edge. He winced over and over as she tried helping him, eventually making audible noises of pain. He kicked at the painful sensations that were running up and down his spine. Hux was completely stiff and hadn't moved the entire time, probably keeping his eyes down and away from the wound. Too many bad memories. That's why Phasma was taking care of it. She was stronger than both of them and they knew it. It was easier for her to block out bad memories or at least keep them from distracting her from the task at hand.
"ARGH!" He gripped the sheets in pain and let a couple tears slip out.
"Shhh....you're okay." She ran her mostly unbloodied hand through his hair and gave him a moment to relax in between the painful stabs.
"Almost done the first part." She whispered as if talking to a child. "You're almost there. Just a little longer and then you can rest."
"Phas?" He mumbled.
"Yes?"
"Why are you doing this for me?"
"Ben." She said firmly. "You know why. It's because we care about you, and don't you dare say we shouldn't." He shut up after that.
It took time but eventually she got the metal off him and quickly bandaged him before he bleed out. His eyes were hazy and barely noticed when they both let go of him.
"Better?" Hux asked. He mumbled a quiet yes before Phasma held out some pain killers to him.
He took them and swallowed with a grimace. A mellowing taste filled his tongue and he realized which pain killers she gave him. He leaned slightly to the side and onto her, yawning shortly after. He rested his head against her shoulder, looking up at her with narrowed eyes.
"Screw you." He mumbled as the sleeping component started kicking in.
"We love you too Ben." Phasma laughed. He began falling asleep quickly from the power of the sleeping drug.
She ruffled his hair before kissing the top of his head. She tucked him in as a mother would for a sick kid. He knew he was the baby of the group but he couldn't deny that the other two didn't treat him like a child sometimes. Nevertheless he was snoring lightly in no time signalling that they should let him rest.
They both crept over to the door to leave but the taller of the two seemed to linger around the doorframe. She watched the man she'd helped and seen grow in the past decade. To the galaxy he was cold and ruthless, but to them he was still the soft and scared boy they met when they were all 16-18 years old.
"Phas?" Hux whispered placing a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be okay. He just hit his limits today. We all do from time to time."
"I know. He just needs sometime to rest." She said it as if responding but more so to herself.
"You wanna go lie down and cuddle a little?" He gestured to their room door.
"Of course, love."
