Ocean Bounty

PROMPT:  By @classicauthors  Pick your favourite scene from a classic and rewrite it from the villain/antagonist's point of view.

Finally, I've spotted another of those strange whale-creatures. I prefer a battle with the wolves of the sea over these whose sharp tusks fly out to bite and stab and kill.

Oh! How my heart clenches at memories of the red-coloured water when that whale-creature killed my entire pod so many years ago. My beloved mate and newborn calf hoisted up with the strange tentacles into the belly of the whale-creature. Their dying songs still haunt me.

But also fuel me for I will crush every whale-creature I come across!

Alas! It's spotted me as well. When I breach I hear the shrill whale-song that comes from its barnacles and symbiotic creatures that live atop it. That type of song always presages an attack.

One more breach, closer now, to properly plan my attack.

By the Sea and Foam! That creature there! Those eyes! It was he that killed my calf all those years ago!

This is the whale-creature I have sought throughout the ocean-topsides. I must take it down to have my revenge and appease all these lonely years.

As I've done before, I shall dive deep and speed up from below to stay away from their sharp tusks and get the most thrust to knock it to its side. Once it's floundering, I will be able to breach again and crush it below my body. The smaller ocean creatures can share in the bounty of my vengeance when I send the whale-creature and all its symbiotic animals down into the depths.

That one creature is mine though. I will consume him myself.

Dive, dive, dive, calling to the ocean-masses to feast.

Now rise, Moby, rise! Upwards to revenge!
