Patience
Nothing much happens anymore. Everything is dull and cold. I've always wanted something worthwhile to happen to me. So I sigh, waiting.
Years pass. I'm out of college and have a boring paycheck-to-paycheck job.
I knew I had my chance. A chance to finally do something, to become more than anyone bargained for.
But I didn't take it. So I sigh,
waiting.
I stand before my parent's grave, now 40 years of age. I sigh, waiting.
(Stop waiting,) a voice echoes in my head. (Start doing.)
I ignored it.
I lay on my deathbed, my children sobbing around me.
I take
my last breath,
waiting.
