Remember: Chapter One
Sunny Pov
"Hello?" I called out into the dark. I was lost. Scared. Confused.
I had no idea where I was.
Or who I am.
"Who am I?" I called out into the darkness.
"You don't know who you are?" A female voice called out to me from the blackness.
"Uh, no. Who are you? Do you know me?" I asked the voice.
"I don't know. And no."
"Where are we?"
"Good question." another voice spoke. He sounded like a boy.
"I'm scared." another boy voice called out. This one sounded young.
"A whole maybe? A cave?" another male voice spoke out.
"Maybe there is a way out." I said.
"Maybe you're wrong." The female voice said.
"Is that light?" the younger male voice asked.
"Where?" the rest of us asked at once.
"Up." he answered.
I looked up, and sure enough, there was a sliver of light.
"How do you get up there?" I asked.
"Climb?" suggested one of the male voices.
"Okay." I said. I put my hands out and was met by a wet, grimy stone wall.
"So you're just going to climb out? Just like that?" the girl voice asked.
"Sure, why not?" I said to her.
"Good luck." she scoffed.
My hands met a rough thick like cord. A rope? I thought hopefully.
I yanked on it, but it seemed like it was attached to something on top.
"I found a rope!" I said excitedly.
"How?" someone asked.
I shrugged my shoulders, then realized they probably couldn't see me, so I said "Don't know. I'm going to climb it though."
"Have fun. Break a leg while you're at it." the female voice spoke in false encouragement."
I let out a sigh, and started to climb up the rope with ease.
The higher I climbed, the more light there was. Soon it was bright enough for me to see the golden hair the kept getting in my eyes.
My golden hair.
I looked at tan fingers and hands
My tan fingers and hands.
I was happy that there was something in front of me to prove that I was actually real.
My hands finally reached a ledge and I climbed over it. I sat down on the ground. I looked at my the thing that had held me captive.
It was made up of stones and formed a circle. A bucket that was caught between two stones was attached to the rope I had used to climb out.
I knew there was a word to describe this contraption, but I couldn't remember it.
"I made it to the top!" I yelled into the hole.
"I can see that." A girl with black hair said climbing up the rope.
She had ears on the top of her head and as she climbed out of the hole, I noticed she also had a tail.
I screamed.
"What?" She asked.
"Ya-your a cat!"
