If there's one thing that I hate on this site, it's the way people write siblings
(Although the strange smut fics are pretty bad too).

"Hey bro!"
"Hey sis!"
Is not how siblings work. Absolutely not. If I walked up to my brother and said "hey bro!" with a smile on my face, he'd think I'm plotting something.

If you've been living with someone for so long, you'd be bored if you interacted the same way every day. Add a bit of spontaneity, a bit of character.

Also sibling rivalry can get pretty messy, but usually it's pretty mild.
Smiling behind the parents back as your sibling is being told off is pretty normal (in a normal family).

This website/app is pretty bad at writing normal families, to be fair.
Is it because y'all find them boring? Or because you don't have a normal family yourself?

Samantha yells at the top of her lungs. She doesn't have to mention Jack's name for him to know what had happened.

"Sam, please stop yelling."
Their mom tiredly repeats herself, knowing that it had no impact.

"Hey, if she wants to come along, why not?"
Isaac shrugs, motioning towards Sophie.

"Oh, no no no!"
Kara shakes her head, laughing slightly.
"You do not want her to come along, trust me."

"Aah, but I just want to see what you do!"
Sophie looks down, suddenly donning a shy personality.
"After all, I do look up to you."

Kara's eyes widen. She had to be joking right? Just yesterday, Sophie had purposefully broken her keyboard and blamed it on Kara.

"That's so sweet. I'm so jealous, I want a little sister too."
Isaac coos, patting Sophie on the head. He looks up to Kara with a hopeful smile whilst Sophie takes the opportunity to smirk at Kara.

"I'm... flattered, I really am, but maybe next time?"
Kara struggles to not lose her cool.

"Oh that's fine. I'll tell mommy so she knows why you aren't at home for you!"
The little brat sticks her tongue out at Kara, who fully understood what Sophie really meant. She'll go whining to their mom.

"Ugh, fine! You can come along!"
