"It's a long story." Dominic says rubbing the the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"I am s-sorry." A voice so quiet I barely caught it the voice was small and light but you could tell it once held happiness but was now cowarded in the prescence of fear supressed by the raw emotion she showed, it was Aurelia.
I had completely forgotten she was still there despite her cold, shaking hand clutching tightly on to mine. I gave her hand a reassuring sqeeze and she flinched a little but none the less still clutched my hand.
To be honest she was so pretty but whatever that man had done to her had ruined her image. Her long hair was long and wild. It was visible it hadn't been cut long time, it went past her mid thigh and was thick and wavy. Her eyes were a beautiful blood red color that were anything but scary they used to be happy and calm but years of pent up fear changed them into nothingness her eyes bloodshot black bags building up under her eyes from years of tiredness. He body is skinny almosy bone iy looks as if she hasn't eaten anything in awhile. Her skin as white as paper with a light pink hue to it but still unnatural.
"She looks so hungry we have to get her something to eat." I say and look at Dominic.
"No, no if I go with he'll be mad and he might hurt you. I dont want to you to get hurt. He'll kill you, I have to go." Aurelia starts to panic hyperventilating to the point that she faints her body falling limp in my arms. She weighed practically nothing I felt like I was holding a underweight toddler her body frame was small and petite she was only about 5'5 when she was standing upright but I don't think she had done that for awhile.
A look of pity crosses his face. "I can't believe he would do this to her. She doesn't deserve this. I just can't." He offers to carry her but I was already carrying her and the kitchen was only down the hallway.
I hoisted her over my shoulder her limp body hanging off my shoulder.
I only just realize its barely 11:00 but my stomach made a growling sound that signalled it was time for me to eat.
Once we reached the kitchen I set Aurelia down on a chair while went to the fridge to get something he brought a packet full out a red substance and poured it in a cup the smell of old pennies and copper so strong I could pratically taste but to this Aurelia perked right up her eyes fully black as she pratically climbed the table to get the cup drinking its contents like there was no tommorow.
"I knew it." Dominic let out a heavy sigh. "He hasn't fed you in days."
Her eyes open now reveal a Crystal blue color that where honestly to broght to look at for to long. The bags under her eyes were gone and her skin still pale but healthier looking and her hair was less stringly and shiny with more volume.
She panted heavily after drinking the last of what was in the cup her usual demeanor returning.
"When was the last time he fed you?" Dominic question.
She shook her head a little not daring to make eye contact with either of us.
"No, he hasn't fed you or no you tell us?" He questioned underlying anger in his words.
"No, he hasn't fed me." Aurelia said in a queit voice just above a whisper.
"Goddamit!" Dominic turn around punching a hole in the wall chunks coming out of it as he pulled away at his action Aurelia surried away faster than I could see and hid behind me her hand around my arm her long nails slightly piercing the skin.
"Your a vampire." I say feeling dumb that I said it out loud.
Dominic squinted his eyes to try to see it I was playing dumb or if I was actually stupid and to be hinest I should have pieced it together when Darren said lycan status.
"Are you-" Dominic started to say something but a faint buzzing was heard and his phone in his pocket was visible as it glowed a bright blue color.
He picks up the phone. "Hello, no but- I can make it, okay, I'll be there in a second, bye." He hung up the phone and put it into his front pocket.
"Who was that?" I ask.
"My dad he says there something he needs to talk to me about something i am not sure what." He his face contorts into a frown.
"Ew don't think you look uglier like that." I laugh my own jike earning me a small smile from him as he walks over and give me a kiss on the cheek that has my face immediately burning up at contact.
"I see you in a minute." He says as he walks away.
"I remember when me and Darren were like that." Aurelia says looking down a small nervous smile on her face revealing her two sharp canines.
I sit down across from her as she takes a seat at the table again.
"I remember when I thought he loved me." She says sadly a lone tear rolling down her cheek.
"You don't have to if you don't want to." I tell but she shakes her head.
"Your family now; you'll find out sooner or later id much rather you hear the truth than some sugar coated version." She says brushing off my worry.
"Okay."
"I met him in college we both studied at Arc University, school of prospering scholars, he was studying fighting techniques and medicine while I studied technology and human and supernatural behavior, psychology, basically.
So our paths never really passed untill not only did I share a dorm with him but I had the same biology class with him.
He was never in the room so we never talked much even then. But no matter how much we avoided each other we would always see each other some way see each other. But that all changed it was my first....I am not sure how to exactly say it, its what werewolves call a heat so it was my first time experiencing it I thought I was just sick but it felt different. He walked in late that night and I don't know why but the smell of anothers women's perfume drove me insane I was ready to kill anyone who touched him.
I could hear him walking to his room just down the hallway but today he doubt keep going and a sense of calm went over me the room wasn't hot and my bidu felt tingly.
"Aurelia are you in there?" His voice was low but I was honestly surprised he knew my name I mean I knew his but he didn't seem like the kind if guy to inconvenience himself remembering my name.
I was unsure of what to say. I mean what could I say?
"Aurelia i can smell you in there." When he said that i was scared but i was weak to move, to scream but even then i was calm and deep down inside i was unafraid.
He slowly opened tge door eyes switching from green to black. He sat at the edge of my bed and held his hand out to touch my face. It was cold and soft instantly making me feel better.
I was so confused why i was acting like this. He looked like he was trying so hard bit to pounce on me and if we being truthful it me want him to do it even more.
Anyway things happened and I lost me virginity so one and so forth. But instead of leaving that day for good he told me i was his matr and that he wanted me to come home with him to meet his pack and family. It would have been he stupid to decline but if I would habe known what I was I would have never left.
The reason he hates me is because I am a pure blood. Which means i have both vampire parents which was rare and even more rare now. At the time i thought i was a jybrid lile you half witch, like my 'mother', and half vampire ,like my father.
But was I wrong he found out before I did and that was the end of holding hands, kissing in the park, laughing.
If i was a half blood the werewolf gene would be dominant therefore offsrping would be were wolf with perks of a vampire. But since I was a pureblood both genes would be codominant making lycan offspring changimg the status of the pack.
He blames me for his downfall but because he already marked me he can't be with another untill i die and i won't be going anywhere soon." She joked the last part a small laugh escaping her lips and a look goes across her face as of death would be better than the touture she deals with today. "When he found out that was the first time he hit me and this only continued i can't be away from him for long periods of time so he makes it worse by leaving me in his closet and locking the door and not coming back for days and weeks. I am only there when he is in need of...relief or to be his made. He has no problem in throwing me around forcing me to do work even while i am pregnant." Her hands fly quickly over her mouth as if she said something she wasnt supposed to.
My first question flies out of my mouth before i could stop it. "Does he know?"
"Of course not i am am afraid of what he would do so i have been using glamour thats why i spilled the coffee on him this morning the baby kicked me unexpectedly."
"Can I see?" I asks curiously.
"The baby?" She asks. I nod my head and reluctantly begins recitinga spell that i vaguely seem to remember. One she was done her stomach seemed to grow as if the fetus were growing instantly.
To say i was in shock would be an understatement. I was amazed.
"How far along are you?"
"Two months, i could be going into labor anyday now."
"Boy or girl?"
"It's a boy of course most alphas have male offspring it is virtually unheard of. The only time anyone's ever heard of something like this was along time ago and that was the two twin girl alphas and they should still be alive today."
"What happens when it's time?"
She shrugs her shoulders as she rubs her stomach smiling a little "I don't know hopefully I'll know then."
"What are you going to name him?"
"She looked up thoughtfully for a moment." Charles Henry Winters." She states with finality.
"What a handsome name." We both share a small comfortable laugh.
"Can i ask you something?"
"Of course."
"This may seem weird because we just met a few minutes ago but if anything were to happen to me. Would you take care of my son?"
When she asks i am jot sure how to respond it was an honor wasn't sure i was ready to uphold. "Nothing's going to happen to you."
"I know but if something does promise me."
"I promise."
"Thank you."
She began to say the spell and her stomach slowly went back to its original size.
"I have to get going now i have already caused you enough trouble."
"Where are you going?"
She gives me a sad smilw but continues her way out of the door and into the hallway.
"I'll save you i promise." I say to myself.
