Chapter 49: Rescuing the Others
Zeck came out of the van, with his phone in hand. He looked for Steranko.
"Are you here yet, Steranko? What's the deal, yo?" he asked into the phone.
"Da, comrade, look behind you," Steranko answered.
He was carrying Raph and Casey's unconscious bodies and Jamie, who was still struggling to get free.
"Whoo! Rhino legs very fast. Good workout. Better than the Pilates," he continued.
"Let us go, you mutant morons!" Jamie shouted.
"Now, this pretty lady we're gonna have to keep, Big S. She's hot," Zeck responded flirtatiously.
"I agree, comrade. We'll also see what use Shredder will vant her for," Steranko added.
They opened the door to reveal Donnie, who was still unconscious, and April, who was trying to get out of her glue trap.
"You can't do this! We have friends that are gonna kick your butts!" she threatened confidently until the others were thrown in the van.
They closed the door and April looked at Jamie's leg. It wasn't broken anymore, but it still looked a little mangled.
"Oh my gosh, Jamie! What happened?" she asked concerningly.
"Steranko thought it would be fun to break it with only his foot. But don't worry, I heal fast. I already put it back in place and they fused together. It just needs to rest is all," Jamie explained.
"Okay. But let's think of a way out of here," April responded.
Meanwhile, the pig and rhino looked for Leo and Mikey.
"So, other turtles are here? Da?" Steranko asked.
"Turtles! Come out and play!" Zeck shouted, then saw some movement near their van.
"Gotcha. If you surrender, the humans go free," Zeck bargained.
"Pinkie promise," Steranko added.
"Forget it. We don't trust you dudes," Mikey refused.
"You has no choice. In five seconds, I pop humans' head like the blueberries," Steranko threatened.
That was the turtles' plan. Leo would pick the lock while Mikey distracted them.
"Four, three, two, one!" Zeck counted down.
Mikey appeared as Leo tried to free the others.
"Okay, don't hurt them! Let's talk this over," Mikey faked-surrendered then asked, "Um, what do we call you guys now, anyway? You need mutant names. Um, and it just so happens, I am awesome at naming stuff. How about...Pork Rind and Chili Cheese Fry?" he suggested from a food stand.
"Ha!" Zeck scoffed.
"Nyet, nyet. Not so good names," Steranko refused.
"How about...Sprinkles and Hot Sauce?" he requested from another food vendor.
"Nyet," they both said angrily.
"The Royal Weenies?" Mikey replied nervously.
"NYET!" they both yelled furiously.
"Then how about, um...Bebop and Rocksteady?" Mikey finally decided from their van.
"Is that what you do? Randomly name enemies based on stuff you see around you?" Zeck commanded, still angered.
"Hey, it's not so bad. Kind of like the Rocksteady," Steranko smirked.
Now Bebop, as he was now called (same with Rocksteady), actually found Leo picking the lock of their van with his goggles.
"Aha! You think you can get past my goggles, son? I saw you a mile away," he exclaimed, his voice getting higher.
"Hyah!" Mikey yelled as he hit Bebop in the face with his nunchucks.
Bebop recovered and pulled out the retro-mutagen he got from Donnie and April. Rocksteady flexed his arms in the air with determination.
"No one can face the Bebop and Rocksteady!" Rocksteady replied confidently.
The others could hear what was going on outside.
"I am not going to be called Bebop, got me? That is the dumbest name ever!" Bebop complained.
"Then it fits you perfectly!" Jamie yelled from inside the van.
Everyone except Rocksteady and Bebop laughed at that until Mikey yelled, "He's got the retro-mutagen!"
"Retro-mutagen, huh? I'm wondering what it'll do to mutant turtles," Bebop smirked, aiming the orange liquid at the orange-clad turtle.
"Don't do it, Bebop," Mikey replied calmly with his hands up defensively.
"Stop calling me that name, fool! I hate that name! I hate that name!" Bebop whined, sobbed, then added with laughter, "Time for the next mutation, turtle."
Bebop was starting to slowly pull the trigger on the youngest turtle.
"Mikey!" Leo shouted in panic.
He tried to slice it from Bebop's possession, but Rocksteady knocked him to the side.
"Nyet! Bebop, wait. Think with the brain for once. Retro-mutagen can turn us human again," he pointed out.
"Wow, I didn't even think of that! Let's do the dizzle!" Bebop agreed then hollered, "And stop calling me Bebop, yo!"
He prepared to spray himself, but Rocksteady grabbed it, demanding, "Nyet. Why do you get to be using it?"
"You did not just--" Bebop started.
"Give it back!" Rocksteady commanded.
"I had it first!" Bebop yelled.
"Nyet, nyet, nyet!" Rocksteady refused.
Leo and Mikey just looked at each other from their new hiding spot.
"We need a better distraction," Leo whispered.
That's when Karai came out of no where and and hissed at the two bad mutants.
"Huh?" they said.
Karai then spit some venom in Rocksteady's eyes, causing him to scream and drop the retro-mutagen then step on the jar, shattering it. Then she pounced on Bebop, making him scream, then she disappeared as quickly as she could.
"Get back here, snakey snake!" Bebop yelled.
Leo managed to open the doors to the van, revealing the unconscious boys starting to wake up and April and Jamie still tied up.
"Leo!" they shouted happily.
"Sorry it took so long, girls. I'll have y'all free in no time," Leo assured as he took out a knife and cut them free.
"Thanks, Leo," Donnie said as he regained consciousness and held his head.
They all started walking out of the van, groaning from the pain they had endured.
"Oh, my aching brain. What hit me?" Raph wondered.
"It was that huge rhino dude. Right there!" Casey answered then yelled horrifically.
"Turtles...free?" Rocksteady asked.
He roared furiously and charged, causing the others to scatter.
"What do we do, Leo?" Donnie wondered.
"You four go after Karai. Me, Raph, and Mikey will take Rocksteady," Leo ordered.
"But Jamie's leg is broken," Raph disagreed.
"No. I fixed it. It's fine I promise. Just go kick those morons' butts," Jamie assured.
She kissed Raph passionately and when they parted, they smirked at each other and Raph agreed as he held another batch of retro-mutagen.
"Hey, rhino man! You want some retro-mutagen?" he taunted.
Jamie giggled as she followed Donnie, April, and Casey to the fun house Leo and Mikey were in previously.
"Whoa, wicked. This was my favorite fun house as a kid," Casey commented.
He flipped his mask down and they all entered the fun house to find their serpent friend.

A/N Getting Karai and getting rid of Bebop and Rocksteady is most definitely not a walk in the park. But they have to do something.
