Chapter 43: Family Reunion

Meanwhile, Casey, April, and Jamie were trying to get through to Splinter.

"Splinter? Wake up, Splinter," Casey panicked.

But Splinter kept hissing at them. He still didn't remember them.

"You are not a rat," April said.

"You are Hamato Yoshi," Jamie stated.

They used their psychic powers to put memories into Splinter's head. He started remembering being attacked by the Shredder. He saw Casey as Shredder and attacked him. Casey screamed.

"Not again!" he yelled, avoiding Splinter's teeth.

He shocked Splinter, which caused him to scream in pain. Meanwhile, Mikey dodged the acidic spit takes from Stockman, laughing.

"Aw, yeah!" he cheered.

He made his way to the fly and threw a smoke bomb at it. A puff of purple smoke exploded and Stockman fell. Mikey smiled, licked his thumb, and rested it on his belt.

"Booya...kasha," he smirked, chuckled, and placed his hand on the desk.

But an alarm caused him to frown, shocked.

"Huh?" he asked.

He looked at his hand and he realized he pressed the button they didn't want Stockman to push.

"Mikey!" the others yelled.

While the turtles continued to fight off the Shredder crustaceans, Casey, Jamie, and April were still trying to wake Splinter up.

"Come on, Master Splinter," April urged.

"Come on!" Jamie pleaded.

Splinter opened his eyes and hissed as he shot up into a defensive position.

"I got this, guys," Casey insisted, getting his bat ready.

He stood between the girls and the rat Sensei. Splinter charged and knocked Casey to the side. He pinned April to the wall, trying to bite her face, but Jamie grabbed his arms and held him back.

"Master Splinter! Look," April exclaimed, putting her hands on either side of his face.

Then Splinter started seeing his memories of the turtles, Jamie's parents and her as a baby, cherished times (whether they were good or bad), Karai, Tang Shen and Miwa, anything that involved family. Then Jamie knew he was back and she slowly let go. Splinter touched April's hand. She cringed then opened her eyes as he stepped back.

"Master Splinter?" she asked.

He smiled at her then at Casey and Jamie. That's when they knew he was back. He turned to see his sons in trouble. He charged at the shrimp Shredder, kicking it a few times before it was sent into a rotating fan. When Leo was on the ground after losing his katana in mutagen, Splinter kicked the lobster Shredder to the side. He beat it like crazy and then it went into the fan as well. Lastly, the crab Shredder held Raph and tried to tear him apart, which made Jamie about to lunge to help him. Splinter freed him, got him out of the way, and attacked it. He dodged its attacks easily, adding punching and kicking it to death, then finally throwing it into the fan too. His family gathered towards him.

"Father?" Raph asked.

"Sensei," Leo confirmed.

Splinter turned with his smile, happy to see his family safe from harm.

"My sons," he replied as they hugged him tightly, smiling from ear to ear.

"You're back," Mikey responded.

"I can't believe it," Donnie added.

"How I have missed you, my sons and the rest of my family," Splinter smiled, facing the turtles, then April and Casey.

"Just please don't try and eat my face anymore," Casey replied.

Splinter chuckled then added, "And this must be Miss Jamie."

"It's an honor to officially meet you, Hamato Yoshi," Jamie blushed, but bowed in respect.

"And I you," he nodded.

Then Shredder and the mutants who worked for him burst in the room.

"So the turtles live, they have a new ally, and the rat thinks like a man again. Now you will know when my blade is at your throat," Shredder snarled.

Splinter growled in return and stepped forward. But Leo put his arm out to stop him.

"Wait, Sensei," he replied.

"Yes, now is not the time to fight," Splinter agreed.

They threw smoke bombs and ran back to the party wagon. Casey drove, April in the passenger seat, and the others in the back. April sighed in relief until a huge thud was heard and TigerClaw faced them through the windshield.

"There is no escape!" he yelled then roared.

"Hey, TigerClaw! Meet Sir Sizllot!" Mikey shouted.

The deer head they attached then blasted fire on TigerClaw's butt. He screamed in pain then got smacked off.

"Party wagon in full effect, boy!" Mikey cheered as he high-threed Jamie.

The party wagon vanished from their sights. Everyone sighed in relief.

"We made it," Donnie replied.

"Yeah, by the skin of our shells," Raph added.

"I'm just glad we're safe," Jamie responded, hugging Raph's arm and resting her head on his shoulder.

He placed his free hand on hers and placed his head on hers to assure her of that.

"So where to now? We have no home to go back to," Mikey pointed out.

"Homes are transitory. What matters is that we are together," Splinter said.

"But we still need a place to hang our masks, Sensei. Where are we gonna live?" Leo added to what Mikey said.

"Well, there's the old power plant, or maybe an abandoned subway tunnel," Donnie suggested.

"Wait, I have the greatest idea ever!" Mikey said excitedly.

"Do we really want to hear this?" Raph grumbled.

"It's secret, fortified, and no one would ever think to look for us there," Mikey told them.

They looked at each other nervously but went with it. They ended up at Antonio's. All the tables and chairs were thrown every which way and it was boarded up. They entered and Mikey was happy as could be.

"You're right. No one would ever know we're here," Jamie said sarcastically since she knew the guys loved pizza and suspected the villains knew that too.

"Perfect, right?" Mikey asked, not listening to Jamie.

"I wouldn't exactly say 'perfect'," Raph answered uncertainly.

"It will serve, for now," Splinter replied.

"Next up, take the city back," Casey smirked.

"And find my dad. He's out there somewhere," April added.

She pictured she was in Dimension X, seeing the Kraang-turned humans working.

"It's like he's right here. Right next door," she continued, pointing towards the boarded window.

After that, Jamie decided to tell Raph how she really felt about him. It might not be the best time, but he needed to know.

"Hey Raph, can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked.

"Yeah sure," he said.

They went towards the back of the pizza place. She was really nervous. Her back was to him.

"What's up?" Raph wondered.

"Well, I wanted to tell you this earlier, but I was afraid it was too early for me to do so," Jamie explained.

"Let me guess. You're in love with me?" he guessed.

She turned around, a little shocked.

"How-How did you know?" she asked.

"Because I feel the same way. I can tell you do," Raph confessed.

"Well, you're right about that. And you really love me?" Jamie said.

"Yeah. You make me so happy. I'm really glad we met you during the time we were at the farmhouse," he smirked.

"Ditto," she smiled as she leapt into his arms.

They kissed and it felt amazing. The guy she loves also loves her back. They parted to catch their breath. Their foreheads were together as they stared into each other's eyes.

"I love you, Jamie," Raph replied as he cupped her face.

"I love you too, Raph," Jamie responded as she placed her hands on his plastron.

This was amazing. Jamie's really happy with Raph and everything couldn't be better for them.
