Chapter 42: Freeing Splinter

As they were tracking Splinter, Raph looked at Jamie, a little concerned.

"Is your leg okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. I healed it after I tackled the Foot bot. I promise I'm fine," she assured.

"Okay. Just making sure," he said, kissing her forehead.

They moved through the sewers until they came across a hatch where the Foot went.

"I'll have this baby open in no time," Donnie said, got it open, and cheered, "Like a turtle do."

"Pat yourself on the back later. Let's move," Raph ordered.

Just as they were about to go, they heard heavy footsteps. They turned around slowly and fearfully.

"It's Shredhead," Mikey panicked.

Then they were face to face with a Shredder that was a shrimp-looking thing. It was about as tall as their knees. Everyone just burst out laughing.

"What the heck is that supposed to be? Minishredder?" Raph joked.

"Haha, it's kind of cute, like a shrimp," Mikey commented.

"Aww. I could just eat him right up," Jamie said.

Then it attacked like it had rabies or something.

"Ah! What the heck?" Casey exclaimed.

The little Shredder was a little harder to take down. But when they knocked it back, everyone got in the hole as quickly as possible.

"And stay out, you little freak!" Raph yelled and shut the door quickly.

They kept going until they were in Stockman's laboratory. He had a plate of cheese and was waving it around where Splinter could see it.

"You want this cheezze, don't you? You want the nice swizz cheese, yeah? Hmm, come on. Take the cheezze. Come on," he taunted until he vomited on it and laughed as Splinter took a sip of water through the spout.

"I'm gonna squash that bug," Raph grumbled.

"I would love to see that," Jamie smirked.

They waited until Stockman left. They approached the glass cage that held their rat master.

"Sensei. Sensei!" Leo whisper-yelled, getting Splinter's attention.

Splinter came up to the glass, curiously.

"Quick, get him out of there," Leo told Donnie.

He obeyed and the cage opened. They slowly approached him.

"It's okay. It's okay," April said.

"We're not gonna hurt you," Jamie insisted calmly.

"There's got to be a way to reach him," April replied.

"Red, remember the time you and Jamie reached the guys through their dreams? What if y'all could, like, do the same thing for Splinter? You know, mindmeld and stuff?" Casey suggested.

"Hmm, based on my research on telepathy, it might be possible. But there is only one way to find--" Donnie started to hypothesize.

Stockman appeared out of nowhere and started freaking out.

"What izz this? Bzz, turtles? Here? You were all destroyed! Zzz!" Stockman yelled.

"How's this for destroyed?" Raph growled, throwing a shuriken at the giant fly.

He dodged it and started spitting acidic vomit at them.

"Look out!" Raph shouted.

"April and Jamie, try and wake Splinter up," Leo commanded.

The guys started fighting him as Stockman tried to press this alert button. It would let the other mutants and Shredder that they were being ambushed.

"Oh, no, you don't," Raph snarled.

Mikey wrapped his kusarigama chain around the mutated fly. But Stockman flew around with Mikey being flung every which way.

"Whoa! Hold still, Buzzkill!" he demanded.

Stockman continued to fly around and get to the button.

"Oh! No!" he yelled.

Mikey yanked him back and he hit the wall hard. He groaned as the turtles approached him. Stockman got up with a cocky smirk.

"Ha! Let'zz even the oddzz," he replied.

Then the others had a look of horror on their faces as a giant crab, medium-sized lobster, and small shrimp versions of the Shredder.

"Sweet mother of mutations," Donnie whimpered.

"Do you like my Shredder mutantzz? They make excellent watchdogs. Bzz," Stockman smirked and flew.

Mikey took on Stockman, Leo took on the lobster, Raph with the crab, and Donnie with the shrimp. It wasn't easy at all for the guys.

"These guys are full on armored," Leo exclaimed.

The lobster clamped on his katana and chomped it in half.

"Oh, no," he responded.

As they continued to fight them off, it didn't look like it made a difference.

"This guy's like fighting a fourarmed dump truck," Raph commented.

"Hold still, you little dendrobranchiata," Donnie insulted as he tried to whack the shrimp Shredder.

Mikey continued to take on Stockman.

"Whoa! Whoo-whoo-whoo!" he whooped as he continued flying around.

This is getting really crazy.
