"We've mastered our weapons, stealth, and hand to hand combat, but we haven't achieved the very first of the 18 Ninjitsu disciplines. The Seishin Syuyou, or 'spiritual refinement'. All true ninjas must master it," Leo explained as he and his brothers walked through to woods.

"Hey, who says I'm not spiritually refine-" Mikey started, burped loudly, then finished, "-ed."

The others looked at him like he was proving Leo's point.

"Whoa. Heh. Must have been--" he said, burped again, then decided, "Okay, you win. Let's get refined."

The guys would be training, meditating, practicing, foraging, and building fires. They had been doing this for about two days. When the second day started to end and they're meditating in the trees, the wind picked up and trees and leaves whipped as the vortex of red light formed in the air.

"Aah! It's happening! Aah!" Mikey screamed.

He ended up falling out of the tree and same with the others. When they landed, Leo heard faint hoof steps. He looked up and noticed the deer.

"Whoa. Guys, look," he said, but when they all looked, it was gone.

"It was the same deer. I think it's been following us," Leo insisted.

"It's probably laughing at the four dumb turtles lost in the woods," Raph guessed.

"Actually, in the Shinto religion, deer are considered messengers of the divine. Maybe it means we're on the right path," Donnie corrected.

The deer came back again but it stood up on its hind legs and its antlers were curved more horizontal than vertical.

"Mutant!" the three youngest turtles yelled and charged at it.

"No, wait! It's not a mutant!" Leo assured.

But the guys didn't listen. They kept attacking the deer. But every time they tried to hit, kick, or attack it, they would hit, kick, or attack each other.

"Guys, stop!" Leo yelled.

They still didn't listen; they kept fighting the deer. Then the deer disappeared and the guys focused on hitting each other.

"Stop!" Leo shouted but they continued until Leo screamed, "I said stop!"

The others finally stopped and looked around. The deer was no where in sight.

"Whoa, dudes. It's gone," Mikey said.

Back at the farmhouse

Jamie and April were playing Gin while Casey was on look out.

"So you happy that Raph and you are finally together?" April smirked.

"Yes. I've wanted that for a long time," Jamie answered.

"Let me guess: since you lost him to the Creep and he was turned to a plant?" April asked.

Jamie chuckled and said, "Actually yeah. I didn't know how much I really cared about him until we went chopping wood and he was taken. And it's grown ever since."

"Well, do you think 'like' will turn into 'love'?" April asked.

"To be honest, it already has," Jamie confessed.

"WHAT?! Jamie, why didn't you tell him?" April squealed.

"Because won't that be too fast? I'll tell him when the time is right," Jamie replied, "And one more thing."

"What?" April asked.

"Gin!" Jamie smirked.
