Let me go, Senpai!
Izuku was lying on his bed, still thinking of the interaction he had with the third-year student, Rumi Usagiyama. It was night and he would usually be asleep by now but he couldn't rest. He rolled over on his bed, holding his pillow over his head as he buried his face into the mattress. "Ah, it was worse after I ended up looking at her! It was like she got exactly what she wanted." He couldn't forget that crooked grin and uneven eyes.
"I hope I don't have to interact with her tomorrow..."
Thankfully he didn't have to during his walk to school and through morning classes. It was lunch and Izuku was in the cafeteria, sitting with his friends, they were all crammed around the table with Izuku sitting at the edge of one side.
"Hey, let's go sit by the window, I could use some sunlight."
Izuku instinctively stiffened. It was one of the voices from yesterday. 'Then that probably means-,'
"Ah, sure." It wasn't as smug or teasing, 'But that was definitely her voice!' And he could hear them coming from behind him. He stayed still, not able to turn his head back to confirm it. He kept his eyes down as their steps and chatter came closer, 'They're going to pass the table, she most likely already spotted me? Wh-What do I do? Do I greet her? But I never gave her my name, if I introduce myself in front of her friends and my friends, won't it look like a confession? It will look like I have a crush on my senpai! There's no way I can do that. Just keep your eyes and head down like you always do, Izuku Midoriya...'
As they reached Izuku's table, he could see a pair of muscular thighs and radiant white hair from the corner of his eyes. He didn't know why but her hair reminded him of the moonlight on a clear night. His eyes followed the graceful movement of her hair. Her hair was swaying side to side causing brief moments that revealed the back of her skirt. He tilted his head seeing it, there was a bump under her skirt where her tailbone would be.
Wiggle, wiggle.
'It wiggled!' He almost choked on his spit realizing he was staring at her tail, thinking about how fluffy it might be under her skirt. 'Crap, what am I thinking!'
But as they got farther away from his table she looked back, catching him staring at a specific part of her body. He instinctively met with the eyes that he felt were on him. He quickly averted his gaze as his cheeks steamed up, seeing the same broken grin and excited eyes that kept him from sleeping yesterday.
'She caught me! I wasn't doing anything wrong but it looks like I was!'
Throughout the rest of lunch, he tried to resist peeking at her table but still did a few times. There were the same three girls, including Rumi. One of the girls had long spiky purple hair with scandalous eyes. The other girl had vanilla blonde hair looking like the most superficial, able to appear innocent and vulnerable but was actually vain and manipulative.
'Those two look just as bad as Rumi-Senpai!'
Even though nothing happened to him in the literal sense, it was still a rough lunch for Izuku to get through.
It was after-school, he was still in the classroom as he was doing his assigned duties for the day. He did his usual ramblings as he cleaned the board and erasers. "At least staying late means I won't have to run into her on the way home to school." He sighed out a breath of relief, before he continued on, "Seriously though, why do I have the feeling she won't be leaving me alone anytime soon." He knew how bullies worked, once they found a target they wouldn't stop harassing them, "I thought I was done with bullies when Kacchan moved away..."
He didn't notice that the door had slid open a bit and that someone was staring at him.
He instantly shivered for some reason.
"Found ya."
His eyes instantly snapped to the door, seeing shadowed eyes with a sinister light piercing through them, her unapologetic toothy grin was not reassuring to him. "R-Rumi-senpai?!"
She shoved the door completely open as she barged in. "You got a good look during lunch didn't you?" She smirked smugly crossing her arms under her bust.
Izuku tried to hide into himself, turning his body away from her. "I-It wasn't what you think."
"Hooo?" She raised an eyebrow, scooting to him, "Then what was it?"
He kept turning away from her, the closer she got, and they ended up going in circles as he did his best to avoid looking at her, "I j-just noticed your hair,"
She chuckled a bit playing along, "Right, right, you noticed my hair, particularly focused on the bottom half, right?"
"Th-That's not it! I noticed a bump under your skirt and before I realized what it was... I saw it wiggle." His face was beet red as he admitted it.
"You saw it wiggle?" Her demeanor reeled back a bit from his endearing honesty. Her cheeks grew a tinge of scarlet before fading away as her teasing grin came back with full force, seeing how embarrassed he was. She came from behind him, speaking over his shoulder. "Oi, oi, you're supposed to look up to your senpai, not up their skirts. You're like really gross, are you sure you should be a hero?" She did a mocking giggle, covering it with her hand.
"I told you, I wasn't doing anything like that." He reaffirmed his words, getting annoyed that she was insulting his ability to be a hero. He stopped turning away from her, now keeping his feet firmly planted in one spot.
But she remained behind him, smacking his back with a playful chuckle. "Sure, sure, let's say I believe you. Ne, you still haven't introduced yourself, what's your hero name by the way?"
He didn't see any reason to not tell her any of that so he did, albeit begrudgingly. He turned to face her, but still kept his head and eyes down. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, and my hero name is Deku."
She tried to suppress a scoff but let out an accidental wheeze. "Deku?" Her eyes grew unhinged, "The useless hero? Ah, a name like that is perfect for you!" At this point she wasn't able to hold back, laughing in his face.
Izuku gritted his teeth. She wasn't the first to laugh at him, he would just brush it off like always. He was trying to get away from her but with every step he took back, she took one forward, until he was eventually trapped between her and the chalkboard.
"Let's see how useless you really are?"
"H-Huh, what are you-, Ahh!" He protested to no avail. She had forcibly grabbed his arms, pinning them over his head, on the chalkboard, restraining him.
"Whoa, despite having some muscle, you're really weak compared to me. C'mon a hero should be able to break free, right? Right?" She was looking down at her helpless prey.
Izuku did try to resist but she was physically stronger than him. 'Why can't I activate full-cowling? It's like something is stopping me. Am I really letting myself get overpowered this easily by her?' He was starting to panic when he realized how futile it was. He looked up at her and paled seeing her amused cynical expression.
"Ara, ara, what's the matter? Are you actually getting scared? Amazing, you really are useless! Hahahaha, why are your eyes twitching? Are you're trying not to cry, is that it? It is isn't it?!"
"I'm... not-, I'm not crying..." Sniffle.
Her toothy uneven grin was on full display as he couldn't stop his eyes from welling up. Her grip on his wrist gave away and his arms fell limp to his side, completely defeated.
I was grateful that no one passed by the hallway, or else they would have seen me crying because of my senpai...
"Sorry, sorry." She apologized with a small chuckle, "I couldn't help myself when you told me your hero name. C'mon stop crying." She cupped his face, wiping under his eyelids with her thumbs. He kept his eyes down and away, trying his best to avoid her gaze, even though she was holding his face. He was trying to stop his sniffling but couldn't. She continued her attempt at comfort. "There, there... but if your hero name is going to be Deku,"
That got his attention, and he found himself staring back at her. His lips parted as his eyes widened. Her expression wasn't smug or demeaning. Her eyes were tender, with a gentle glisten and that usual cocky grin was replaced with somber straight lips, almost biting the bottom one out of concern.
"If you're going to be a useless hero, then that just means you have to be more plus ultra than the rest of us, ne?"
"Rumi-senpai..."
But the moment was gone as soon as it came. She instantly backed away from him as soon as his mood was lifted. She skipped to the door, to make her leave. But before she left she turned back to Izuku as her usual smug expression came back.
"Your Bunny-senpai can't wait to bully you again tomorrow." She teased with a chaotic grin as she closed the door.
Izuku was left with a mix of emotions until what she said sank in.
"She heard what I said yesterday!"
And although he was stressed some part of him, that didn't want to admit it, was excited to see her again.
