chapter 6:Celine & skylor vs evil copies
Writed by: TannaElizabeth
Celine and Skylor away from the other ninja.
"Where were you thinking we'd go?" Skylor asked.
"Probably Stiix," Celine answered, "I know some good places to hide out."
The two began their travels to Stiix, the city of thieves.
As the girls walked into the city, Celine broke the silence that had fallen between them, "I honestly can't believe I used to live here. It's such a slum."
"Oh that's right, I forgot you grew up here. I kinda thought you were thinking Stiix since you were just here in a mission."
"That too," Celine continued, "seeing as Ronin's hideout is now empty, we can camp out there if the squatters haven't taken it over yet."
Celine and Skylor pulled up their masks as they walked along the streets, anxious to avoid the gaze of the people who populated the crime ridden city.
Slipping into Ronin's abandoned shop, Celine closed the door behind her quietly, but froze.
"What is it?" Whispered Skylor.
"We're not alone," Celine returned.
Skylor moved to scope out the rest of the building, but Celine put her hand out, "Wait. Take my abilities, I don't want you to make a sound," she breathed.
Skylor touched Celine's arm before cautiously walking into the other room with Celine in her heels.
"Celine," Skylor hissed, "you're standing in the other room!"
Sure enough, almost exact replicas if Celine and Skylor stood in the other room, waiting.
"Attack on three," Celine whispered, "One. Two. Three!"
The two leapt into the room, weapons at the ready. At the sight of the girls, the copies also sprung into action. It was an even match, fighting their mirror images.
Skylor yelped as her copy suddenly faded into the shadows of the room, "What the heck was that?"
Celine was able to get the upper hand in her copy, grabbing her around the neck and holding her in a choke hold.
"Who are you and what do you want from us?" Celine demanded.
"I am Wraith," the copy answered, "and I want you to join my master."
"Dead-Eye?" Skylor asked, her weapon drawn and at the ready.
"That doesn't matter," the copy answered.
Celine tightened her grip, "Why would I join you master?" She seethed.
"Revenge in those who have wronged you," responded Wraith, "One who has hurt you more than you thought."
"The Skull Sorcerer is dead," Skylor answered.
"Not the sorcerer," Wraith continued, "the queen. You seek to destroy her, no? You wish her to feel the pain you felt?"
Celine was stunned, her grip loosening involuntarily. The copy began to fade, "Think about it," it whispered
Before it could completely fade, Skylor grabbed a nearby vase and smashed it over Wraith's head. The copy turned to stone almost instantly.
"That was close," Skylor remarked, but Celine did not respond. "Celine? Celine, snap out of it," Skylor snapped her fingers in front of Celine's face.
Blinking rapidly, Celine refocused in reality and turned to Skylor before noticing the stone image on the floor, "What happened?"
"I broke a vase over her head and I guess I destroyed her," Skylor answered, "but the real question is what happened to you? You kinda faded from reality. You look pale as a ghost!"
"I feel a little light-headed," Celine responded, touching her forehead. "I don't know what came over me."
"Celine, whatever she told you, don't listen." Skylor said down in front of Celine and took her face in her hands, "You don't need revenge on Vania. You proved her point. I believe what you've said about her and so does Cole. You won that battle."
"I know," Celine responded, shaking her head. "I think we should go back and see what's going on in the city. I have a really bad feeling about this Dead-Eye guy."
