Searching and Payback

Jungkook immediately ran to the nearest police station once he came to his senses. People were oddly staring at him because his eyes were already red and puffy, but that didn't really irk him. All he needed to do right now was to find Taehyung, his life depended on it.

Once he got to the police station, he was out of breath and dragged himself towards the front desk.

"Hello, may I help you?" The police officer by the desk asked calmly but was alert as she could see Jungkook's troubled expression.

Jungkook caught his breath before answering her question. "I-I'd like to report an abduction."

"Okay, right this way sir." The woman stood up from her chair and urgently led him to another desk where a silver-haired man was sleeping on his desk, as it seemed like the station wasn't very busy during this time. The policewoman rolled her eyes and smacked the man's head with the newspaper she was reading just before Jungkook got there. The man groaned and squinted his eyes, trying to adjust them to the light, but once they were adjusted, his small eyes just became smaller when he glared at the policewoman that woke him up. "Want me to poke your eyes out? Who told you to sleep on the job?" The woman glared back.

"Oh, c'mon give me a break, Soojin. I've been awake for 72 hours." The man rolled his eyes and leaned back on the rest of his chair to be able to comfortably lay his feet on his desk.

Soojin clicked her tongue and said, "No manners as always." She turned to Jungkook, her expression immediately changing to a smile. "Anyway, this is Detective Min Yoongi and he will be the one handling your report, please relay everything to him."

"Okay, thank you." Jungkook quietly said. "Now, if you'll excuse me." The policewoman gently smiled and took her leave, the boy bowing simultaneously.

"Let's start." Yoongi nodded and whipped out his notepad, still yawning from the rude awakening that happened just a while ago. "State your full name, age, and nature of report."

"M-my name is Jeon Jungkook, 20 years old, and the nature of my report is an abduction."

"Where did you witness it?"

"At the Montmartre Park. It happened just a while ago. I was with someone and left them for a while to throw the trash and go to the comfort room, but when I came back, I saw three men in black suits carrying my b—" Jungkook trailed off, glancing a few seconds at the detective, who raised his eyebrow from the abrupt stop the boy came to. "My friend—" Jungkook continued as he knew there might have been repercussions if he revealed that he had a boyfriend. "—who seemed unconscious. They escaped in a white van and I tried to chase them, but it was too fast for me to even catch up with." Jungkook sighed and leaned back in his chair and continually fidgeted, which was either playing with his lips or playing with his hands.

"Hmm, those motherfuckers sure are brave trying to abduct someone in broad daylight, and in Montmartre Park regardless of it being some sort of hill." Yoongi mumbled to himself and pulled himself back to a normal sitting position, rubbing his chin with his finger.

"Sir, please, I'm begging you, I need you to find my friend." He leaned in and looked at Yoongi with very pitiful and intense eyes. "I don't know what I'd do if I can't save him on time."

"We'll get to that, don't worry, but answer my questions first. What's his description?"

"His name is Kim Taehyung, 22 years old, 1.78 meters, and has orange hair."

"Does he have a family?"

"He did, but he ran away right before he attended college. He lived with his sister for a while though, as she lived separately from the family and was the only one who was close to Taehyung."

"So, he only has a sister? Do you know her name and where she lives?"

"His sister's name is Kim Narae, and the last I heard from Taehyung is that she lives in an apartment in Dongjak-gu, but that was about six months ago."

Yoongi hummed as he wrote down all the details. "Any other siblings? Parents? Did you know how his relationship was with them?'"

"He had a mom, dad, and a brother that was his age. They all treated him pretty badly, and when he talked about them, it always implied abuse, but he really never liked talking about them too much; they would also only come up after he had panic attacks." Jungkook couldn't help but feel uncomfortable, as this was also a sensitive topic for him. Other than not wanting to remember the pain Taehyung has experienced in the past, it didn't feel right that he had to talk about his past to a stranger.

"Alright, moving on. What's his school and major?"

"Seoul National University of Education, we both go to the same school, but he majors in Fine Arts Education and I major in Ethics Education."

Yoongi just nodded his head and got a piece of paper which seemed to be his business card. He gave this to Jungkook, in addition to the personal information form he was supposed to fill out. "Here, fill out this form so I'm able to contact you. This is my business card if ever you want to contact me before I've contacted you. I can't guarantee his rescue, but I'll try my best." Yoongi said bluntly. He knows this is something that shouldn't be said thoughtlessly, but his number one rule is to never make promises he can't keep, he always makes that clear.

Despite hearing what Yoongi said, he tried his best to stay calm and not be so disheartened by his statement; he doesn't think that a detective would be confident in saying something like that if he didn't know what his capabilities were.

I know he'll be saved.

Muffled voices made their way past the thick, solid, wooden door, piquing Taehyung's interest; he tried to listen in on them, but he didn't get anything useful out of it, he was too far away. After the voices had stopped, the door swung violently, and a man stepped in with what you may call an intimidating aura. The light immediately engulfed the room, the glare being too much for Taehyung's eyes to handle.

"W-Who—" Taehyung abruptly stopped as he felt the aftermath of screaming for such a long time, but still tried speaking. "Who a-are you?"

The man laughed, which made Taehyung a bit more nervous, he didn't know what was so funny. "You really got a hoarse voice from all that shouting? Something someone stupid would definitely do."

"L-Look, I-I don't know w-what you want from me, b-but if you let go of me now, I-I won't tell anyone, I-I swear." The orange-haired boy pleaded, even though he knew there would be a zero chance of him succumbing to his whim. Once the man walked towards him, he knelt on the bed and harshly squeezed his cheeks once he was closer. The man smelled of Hugo Boss judging from how strong and aromatic the scent was, but all it did was suffocate Taehyung.

"And why would I do that?" The somehow playful tone that came from the man a while ago has totally changed into something more sinister and hostile. Taehyung was too scared and too in pain to even answer him properly, so he just gulped and tried his best to look the man in the eye. He smirked when the younger boy eventually didn't make a sound. "That's what I thought. From now on, you're mine, Kim Taehyung." And harshly let go of his face, wherein Taehyung was so sure his neck would snap if he had put more power into that.

What did he mean by I was his? The thought made him shiver. He had no intentions of staying here, he wanted to go home.

The man walked towards the armchair and sat down, pouring himself some whiskey in a glass, slowly swishing it around the glass. "Do you really not know who I am?" The man asked as he slowly shifted his gaze towards the chained-up man.

The question made Taehyung shiver, it was like he was being threatened to remember, but he genuinely doesn't remember or know this man, so he eventually answered with a weak "no."

"What? Louder." Taehyung struggled to talk, but he managed to respond louder. The man laughed again. "I never imagined you to be this weak and soft-spoken. You were never like this before." He set his glass on the bedside table and walked towards the bed, sitting gently next to Taehyung. The actions he did next made the younger flinch, the man's small and slender fingers traced its way from Taehyung's cheekbones down to his collarbones.

"Park Jimin." The man uttered as if Taehyung was supposed to remember, but it didn't ring any bells.

"Who?" Taehyung asked dumbfounded. Jimin just smiled calmly, but he was definitely irritated. He was irritated that the man who almost completely ruined his life didn't remember what he did, much less who he is. Jimin pushed Taehyung down roughly and started to unbutton his shirt.

"I'll make you remember."

Honestly, I've been contemplating if I were to make this as graphic as before because of 1 reason. As a female writer (although not straight), I don't think I'm very comfortable with writing R-18 scenes for mlm relationships anymore? So, if ever I do end up writing the R-18 scenes, I think the stories I've been rewriting recently will be the last time that'll contain R-18 scenes for mlm relationships. It's just that I've been trying to understand and educate myself on the fetishization that's rampant in the bl/yaoi community and I'd really rather just not want to be a part of that since it is very harmful (If y'all have any more input about this I'd really appreciate it); if I were to write about mlm relationships I'd rather keep out of writing smut and just write about healthier or more realistic relationships to give the queer community justice.

Anyway, I don't think the book would contain as much graphic scenes as I thought it would have (even if I do decide to write the R-18 scenes), so I'll make sure to just put trigger warnings in each chapter so that you guys will be aware of what themes lie ahead. Just another friendly reminder that this will not be as romantic as the previous version of the story, so if you're still expecting that I think you should just drop this book immediately. That's all, thank you guys for reading.
