First off David is completely insane for even declaring a tournament. That's why we didn't have another one with Gavin as our Father, they typically got too rowdy and it almost became bloodthirsty. Scared all the younger initiates half to death. Including me, and the only reason I joined was Michael was and he gave me that little nudge.

Today is no exception as the crowd started to enclose the ring it was me against Holly Jukel. She and Michael had a small thing before he befriended me, and it didn't end well for either of them. She still holds that grudge against him for not staying with her and going to a mentally enhanced. Today she is showing off her commando side. Guess where she got it from.

Both Holly and I were awaiting the bell to signal the beginning of the match. Doesn't matter, because with each second Holly looks more like a caged cougar than a human. Trying to act tough I decided to taunt the little cougar, make her trigger early.

"Hey Holly, don't forget who used to love you then went to a mentally enhanced!" It is to easy to trigger a physically enhanced, just like them about how weak they are. It goes the other way, only difference? They truly believe it. Especially Mich.

"Shut up Mellain! It's your fault he was captured!" On the end she added a growl, like that would intimidate me.

"Holly? Are you showing me a weakness in that physically enhanced brain of yours?" This one ought to flip her out.

Fortunately the bell rang and the cougar unleashed her pent up anger. I believe she tried to explain my torture but it was lost in senseless growling. Needless to say I easily swung her against the side of the cage. She fell almost dazed, then got back up on the prowl for blood. All it took was another lift into the air and a slam into the floor of the ring. As the count started she yet again just before the round ended.

Unlike the fighting you watch on television there is no corner telling you how to attack. Only the roar of the crowd keep you company, and under tournament rules you cannot communicate to those once they enter the ring. Otherwise it counts as a loss for the cheater.

Back for another round and unlike Holly I have taken significantly less damage. She looks just as ferocious just a little edge taken off. On the other hand I had to decide whether to kill her, and I chose easily.

The bell sounded and she once again charged at me like a rhino. Unlike last time I still threw her around, but I also slipped into her head and made her my slave. After she landed from my throw I had her stand up and say this.

"Hello physically enhanced members, I have to tell you I submit to Mellain Burke. She has taken control of my mind and has commanded me to say everything I just said." Then while I still had some control I added. "All you physically enhanced losers who think you are stronger than us just know that while you are much stronger physically you minds are susceptible to us mentally enhanced."

She fell apart as I released my hold on her, and the room exploded. Everyone was left in shock at the display in the ring, and the count ended on Holly to resume the fight. Glory was mine, and I had claimed the closest spot to Father's killer. I will admit though it was a bit of fun to poke a hand at the physically enhanced with one of their own.

From his post above the ring David cleared his throat and announced the winner of the match.

"And the overwhelming winner was Mellain Burke of the mentally enhanced class. As her reward she has become my first in command. As for Holly Jukel she will become the second in command to Mellain Burke." And once again the crowd around the ring exploded into wild, inaudible screams and cheers.

Now I have my chance, all I need to do now is wait. Wait until I can use that power to implode his brain.
