I had finished my speech and was strangely approached by one of the soldiers. They wanted to know if their previous standing would still apply. Well I'm the new Father now and you cannot keep a role under different management. Luckily she was training later with the other mentally enhanced children, and I must say she was flawless.

I cannot wait for the competition to start. What I expect is that each of them will show me their given capabilities in a series of challenges that will push them to the limits. As I go to the bedroom to setup my new station I hear all the children adding in more time into their training, all of them determined to become one of the lieutenants in the upcoming mission.

The next day I declared the competition to begin. First up were the mentally enhanced grouping. Many of them, I noticed, were below average strength. That is except for the girl who approached me yesterday. Her performance was indeed flawless compared to the others, but against a physical enhanced group how would she stack up. For now she is definitely in the top rank.

After the mentally enhanced were the physically enhanced grouping. Almost all of them showed off their new muscles in hand to hand combat against a trainer. All except for the one on the first day I was here, she too had a flawless day. Maybe I should pit them against each other. The rest of the day went back to training. Only five more days in the tournament.

Day three was the bracket match, first the start within their own enhancement regimes, then the next day the big dogs battle it out for their spot as lieutenants. It's almost tiring when you see all these children train so hard that when they go to their barracks they just fall down in exhaustion. No matter.

Days four and five were battling again in the brackets and by the end of the day I had my listing of top two competitors. They were Mellain Burke from the mentally enhanced and Holly Jukel from the physically enhanced. It was going to be the matchup of the whole week.

The final day of our tournament and the top dogs were in the ring. Both of them would go through two rounds in the cage against one another. Whoever was left in the cage either alive or stronger would become the first lieutenant. I made popcorn just for the occasion.
