prologue

Prologue:

TO SAY ANDRIA HAD A PROBLEM WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

She physically could not go anywhere without taking something that didn't belong to her. Whether it be something small, like a random bracelet or something bigger, like a woman's full wallet-it didn't matter, she would take it.

Her mother had tried to find ways to stop her. When she was younger she would always sit in the shopping cart, when she grew out of that she wouldn't let her stand within arms length of anything-which made shopping really hard. But it didn't matter whatever Laurie had done because Andria would always come home with her pockets full. So eventually she gave up and decided to just leave the girl at home.

Laurie Soul has hoped that Camp Half-blood would help her daughter, maybe teacher her that it was wrong, but if anything it only made things worse. Laurie had Andria's half brothers, Connor and Travis, to thank for that.

The two boys had taught her many different ways to grab things without anyone seeing because of that they had become her best friends.

It had been Andria's second summer at camp-half-blood when Luke Castellan and Annabeth Chase arrived.

Luke was distant for his first few weeks, not talking to anyone but Annabeth, that is until 8 year old Andria Soul's sticky finger had found their way into his backpack.

He had caught her in the act-which was a first for Andria. She ran as fast as she could, clutching the small beaded bracelet in her hands like her life depended on it.

She didn't get very far. Her short 8 year old legs had nothing on him despite how fast Chiron had told her she was. Luke had caught her, demanding to see what she had stole. When she opened her palm with teary eyes he only sighed. No more yelling, no telling her to never do that again, nothing.

Luke pulled the bracelet out of her hands, staring at it for a second before looking back up at the teary eyed girl. "You can have it" were the first words he had said to her.

All the tears disappeared from her eyes and were replaced by the biggest smile she had ever worn.

And ever since then he had been Andria's favorite brother-she didn't tell Connor or Travis that. Andria couldn't imagine what her life would look like without her boys.

And then there was Perseus Jackson. . .

AUTHOR TALKS!!
I already love my girl and I'm so excited to keep writing her.

If you care, I do have some other Percy Jackson universe books published. One is Gods and Monsters, which happens to be my favorite. It's about Percy and his twin sister, her love interest is an Oc named Aella. I think they are super cute and I have so much planned for them. Then I have Consumed, which is about a daughter of Nyx/descendent of Apollo and it takes place during heroes of Olympus (son of Neptune - blood of Olympus). And I'm guaranteed to have more by the time I'm done with this book.
