Chapter 34: Sirens

I didn't know if I was getting car sick or what because the next time when I woke up, my stomach felt like it was going to explode. I let out a few moans and pulled myself into a ball the best I could, closing my eyes to see if that would help settle down my stomach, but it didn't and before I know it, I was throwing up. Sean looked back, his eyes going wide and he yelled for Zane to pull over will he climbed to the back, quickly pulling the gag from my mouth. My body began to shake in violent shivers as he pulled me into his lap, pressing his cold palm to my forehead.

"Zane, call Chip." He said as he brushed my hair from my face, grabbing a beg and getting ready just in case my stomach had one more plan.

I would of struggled and tried to get out of his grip but I felt sick, sick to where I didn't even care that this monster was touching me. I was in too much pain to care.

"Put him on speaker." Sean said shouting to Zane and I just closed my eyes, trying to control the shivers.

"What's the problem?" Chip's voice came through the phone as Zane handed it to Sean who took it. "It's Sky-" I got him off be throwing up, right on him. Sean just blinked before he set the phone off to the side. Chip must of heard it. "How bad?" He asked. "Her temperature is bouncing back and forth." Sean said as he took of his jacket, sliding it across my body.

Chip was silent for a little. "How far out are you?" He asked.

Sean looked over at the clock on the car. "Maybe a hour or less."

"Alright, I'll meet you guys when you get here." Chip said.

Sean and Chip talked a little before Sean hung up and told Zane to start driving. Zane did and Sean stayed in the back with me, making sure I didn't let anymore out, I had no idea if my body was fighting against a bug or what but I felt sick, I was letting more sweat off then I should and my body was in a wave of pain, my head pounding. I let out a whimper and Sean pulled me close to him, his body heat making me relax a little. Zane was driving fast, I could only tell because when we went over bumps, my body was sent a little high. White spots had slowly started to form in the corners of my eyes and I know I was going to black out so I let the tears slip. After a few tears were let lose, the white spots seemed to be getting large and I let out another whimper before the white spots took over and all I could hear was ringing in my ears.

I slowly woke up. I felt like I was just a bit dead, but when I opened my eyes, I saw I was back in the room, Chip's room, but the TV was off and the only light was coming from the windows. I slowly sat up, pressing my hand to my face. I could barely remember anything. When I moved my right leg, I felt a tug on it and I lifted up the covers to see that a chain was locked around my ankle. If I wouldn't of felt so light headed, I would of cared but right now, I didn't and I rested back up against the bed, pressing my face into my palms. I removed one of my hands when I heard some voices getting close, I looked at the doorknob as it moved slight back and forth before it was opened. I quickly saw that Chip, and Sean entered but when I saw someone else enter behind them, I looked at them in confusion. Someone cleared their throat and I just placed my hands over my face.

"Who's name did you give them?" Chip's voice broke out, echoing inside my head thousand times.

I stayed muted, keeping my hands placed over my face.

It was silent before I heard Sean speak. "Look Skyler, give us the name and we won't hurt any of your friends." That part got to me, but I kept my mouth shut, not believing a word.

"I think she wants me to shoot her little friend again, he'd be fun." I removed my hands and looked up to see who had said that and I froze, standing inches from my bed, his hair a mob mess, and his clothes dirty, was Forest.

"I think she wants to see what's over the news." Forest said, grabbing and turning it on. Chip or Sean didn't stop him.

Just hours ago, Nate Gates, one of the boys of the missing teens, was found on the side of the road this morning, bleeding from the head. He is being treated at a local hospital but they say if he can wake up from this so called coma, there is a 30% chance he will remember everything. Nate's parents have only told us that Nate was in New Mexico with a friend by the name of Heath Robson, before he disappeared. Nate has several cuts on his body, one arm was almost broken and 4 ribs are broken. As more information is given to us in time, please call the number below if you may know where any of these teens are.

I just sat there frozen, I didn't know much about Nate but if he was close friends with Heath, I didn't like what card Forest was pulling.

"They're going to find you." I said glaring at Forest who just rolled his eyes laughing.

"But see, that's the problem, you think they'll save you in one piece, put your wrong on that part, you know why?" Forest said leaning in close. A nasty smile across his lips. I closed my eyes and opened them again, meeting his gaze.

"Get out of my face." I hissed back in a whisper.

"Make me." He said moving in closer, which was one mistake. With one swing, my hand connected with his cheek and I slapped him hard, and it was loud because Sean quickly moved to pull Forest back before he could do any damage.

I'm telling you right now, I didn't feel bad on what I just did, I didn't care that Forest's fire burning eyes were looking at me harshly. Chip just shook his head as he walked past me, his feet lightly walking across the flooring.

"You food will be up in a little." He said before he walked out of the room, the door closing behind him. There was a click that followed behind.

Sitting back a little, I shook my head, my hands soon held the side of my head. I still didn't feel good, my head was spinning and the pain was starting to come back. Rubbing my eyes, I tried to go back to sleep, that didn't really go as planned.

I woke up to something clicking and when I looked towards the door, I saw someone walking in, holding a tray of food. I rubbed my eyes to get a better look at who it was and when I saw who it was, my heart made a leap of joy.

"A-aby." I said as I slow sat up.

She set the tray down as she looked at me, a smile appearing. Someone who I was happy to see and me fell happy. She walked towards me, and sat next to me on the bed, pulling me into a light hug. "I'm so happy your okay." She said pulling away from me, her eyes sparkling with tears.

"Is everyone else okay?" I asked.

She nodded slowly. "Heath is kinda a time bomb at the moment. All with that boy named Nate." She said brushing some of her hair behind her ear.

"Atticus and the others?"

"Okay, Will is being a clown and trying to get everyone to laugh at moments." She said looking down, a small smile across her lips.

I looked down and looked back at her, remembering how she told me about her past. Aby looked like a warrior, she had gone through this longer then I had, and she still had hope.

"You need to eat before Chip comes up here." She said standing up and grabbing the tray of food.

"Why?"

"Because, he won't tell me but I would eat so you don't make him anymore mad then he is." She said setting the tray on the night stand.

She then started to make her way towards the door, but I stopped her.

"Aby?" I asked.

She glanced over her shoulder towards me, her eyes soft. "Yes?"

I looked down. "I just- I just want to thank you." I said looking at her. She smiled.

"Don't thank me yet." With that, she was out of the room, the door closing behind her and leaving me alone again.

I picked at my food. I would of eaten more but my stomach had started to hurt again so I ate about half of it. I was in about to place food in my mouth when the door opened and Chip walked in. He didn't say a word. He only closed the door behind him and made his way over to the closet were he started to pull out some clothes. After he got out what looked like some night clothes, he started to undress and I quickly looked away, stuffing my mouth full with food. I took a glance back and saw him turn to meet my gaze.

"You don't have to eat all of that." He said walking over to me. His eyes focused on me. I just shook my head and looked away. I was not going to talk to him.

The bed soon slinked in a little when someone got in, making me slide into Chip who just laughed and wrapped his arm around me as he reached over and turned the lamp off. He then whispered in my ear.

"I hope you don't try anything like that again. I thought I was going to have to come and find you myself." His voice made me shiver, the hairs on the back of my heck stood up.

I just swallowed and looked at the door as time slowly passed on. Chip's arm was still wrapped around me lightly and his light snoring had started to take place. I have to say, his snore was kinda cute, but I still hated him. I just wish Sean would of told me more about his mom or her death so I could maybe figure out why Chip had taken us from his father in the first place. Shrugging that off for a little, I finally rested, and as my eyes started to slowly close, I rubbed my hair, thinking on the last words I told my father.

I love you dad. I love you. Don't ever forget that. It was never your fault that mom left.

I felt tears slip a little but I held some back. Closing my eyes, I was about to fall asleep when loud sirens made me open my eyes.
