Stolen is  not a story about child abuse though it does contain child poverty in the 1800s. Any rough handling or harsh situations involving children are an attempt to show life as it was for orphan children at the time in which this book is set.

My regular readers are very used to my opening chapters so this next statement is for any new readers who have stumbled upon my work.

The first chapters are harsh. I have worked hard to mellow them down so they aren't off putting.  Please understand that these chapters are just to set the scene and play a vital part towards the plot of the book.  Without them the theme will not make sense.  As the story progresses and by the time you get to chapter four and five, you will realise where I am going with this story.

I hope that you enjoy Stolen and fall in love with my characters. ♥♥♥
