CHAPTER 3

(DAY-3)

I was in my disguise going to the warehouse, I took the long way as who doesn't love early morning walks. I was walking when a man stopped me and I think he was trying to harass me or something but I just ignored him and continued walking.

That moron made a very big mistake holding my arm and went forward to kiss me. I merely looked at him and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. He fell on the ground cursing. I just sighed and said, "you should have left when I I gave you the chance." He was still writhing in pain, but he still managed to glare at me and spoke, "you wh*re"

I just looked at him and stabbed him in the stomach, he was still alive much to my joy and to add my signature I stabbed him in both of his eyes with 13 stab wounds in his body. If anyone finds the body they will know that Katherine killed him, seeing my signature is 13 stab wounds and stab wounds on eyes.

When I saw that he was dead, I saw that he was drinking alcohol and a beer bottle with him. I pulled my handkerchief out and dipped it in the alcohol to clean him of any DNA that might lead him to me.

By the time I was finished my overcoat was drenched in blood. After making sure, I left no traces that could lead him to me I went to the warehouse.

It took me another 15 mins to reach there, when I reached there the first thing I did was burn my overcoat and fix my wig. I got a call from Laura indicating that I just got promoted.

At first I was curious, that how did it happen so fast then I got it that it was a gift from my brother for saving his ass.

I went to where zeita was sitting to do the daily check up on a few people and how's my plan working so far. I saw a name confession owl and it felt as if I have heard that name before somewhere.

I asked zeita, what's the reference of this when she told me oliver has visited that place. Thinking for a few seconds, I told her to keep an eye on Oliver and left the warehouse. It's time for a little family visit.

It was around 10 in the morning now when I got out of the cab and stared at the pure tower.

A tall skyscraper towering over the city, being the tallest thing inside of Ambhibianax, during the night its glow is almost hypnotizing, its structure is elegant, as if constructed by the most delicate of hands, it seems to be made entirely of glass.

I made my way to the elevator, when someone stopped me. I looked at him and couldn't recognize him which means he is new. Before I could say anything to him, Morgan came and said, "sorry, miss Kathrine he is new here. I will make sure he knows the basic facts. Mr. Whyte is in his chambers."

I entered the elevator and pressed the top floor. I don't know why but I couldn't stop and think about him and that day when everything changed.

**FLASHBACK**

(4 years ago)

It was around Christmas and dad decided to celebrate it in our lake house. Mom had gone to visit her friends. I was very excited to go there and play with snow.

It was a 4 hours ride but dad made sure to keep us entertained. Even miles was enjoying it.

As soon as we reached, miles looked at me then at the house. It took me a total of 2 seconds to understand why he did that cause by then he was already running towards the biggest room.

I ran after him but he was already screaming, "I call this mine... I won... mine..."

"you cheated" I said that pouting in return he just stuck his tongue out.

I just rolled my eyes and went to another room. It was a pretty room but smaller than that room, we heard dad calling us so we went to see that he bought fishing tools and asked who wanted to go fishing.

Me being me I declined saying that, we just reached and I will redecorate my room. I declined the offer so miles and dad went fishing.

After one hour or so and I was done with the decorations, I looked at the time wondering what's taking them so long. They should have been back by now.

A little worried I made my way to the fishing area, it took me around 20 mins to reach. I was cursing them that they made me walk all this way but I wasn't expecting what I saw.

Dad was in the river and I saw that he could hardly move as the water was freezing. i was going to scold him that who goes for a swim in this weather when I saw miles. I hid behind a tree and watched him saying, "You have to die, as then only I will receive what I want". He had no regret, hell he had no emotion on his face, it was emotionless. I saw the horror in his eyes as he got sunk deeper and deeper.

I used my hands to stop myself from screaming and ran back home scared. Miles came back in half an hour later crying. I tried my best to act calm and asked why he was crying. He said that he can't find dad.

A little scared I just looked at him and I saw a whole different person.

After a few hours, the housekeeper called the cops and our mother. It all went in a blur but the cops concluded that it was an accident that killed him.

The ping of the elevator brought me back to reality. I blinked a few times, maintained my posture and entered Miles room.

I saw him drinking alcohol. He turned around when he heard the door of his room being open.

Before I even enter he said, "hello sister"

I just looked up at the monster who is my brother and smiled. "drinking alone? Careful brother, people might start to think you are lonely."

In response to that he just smiled and offered me a drink. "I'll pass, I have got to head to work. I bet mom called you too informing about the family visit."

He nodded and said, "I already know the news so why should I go?"

I looked at him intrigued and asked, "Should I be worried about something?"

It looked like he was really enjoying it but I just decided to change the subject and said "the promotion, I guess it was your doing, eh?"

He just smiled, he was going to say more but then there was a knock. He muttered a come in and lucylia came informing him he has a guest waiting.

He looked at me and I just rolled my eyes saying I will be in the guest room till then.

After a few minutes waiting in the guest room I made my way to the kitchen to get some water. I was just getting some water out of the fridge when I heard Lucylia telling someone how miles likes his coffee and how he has a separate cup for that.

I peeked to see that the person's height is around 5'8". He was busy talking to Lucylia about something, meaning he didn't notice me yet.

Taking that as an opening, I opened a packet which contained Botulinum toxin, the deadliest poison known to mankind and added it in Miles cup.

Before they turned, I hid behind the fridge and waited until they were out of earshot.
