THIRD PERSON'S POV:

"WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO ME?!", Aria shouted glaring at her family who looked ready to cry. They didn't want to see her broken after the news so they hid it.

"Ar-"

"Don't ARIA ME DAD! Why?? Just give me a reason!", She cried and finally Ryan got the courage to hold her.

"Calm down Ri..calm down, please..", he whispered soothing her.

"Did M-axim know?", She asked pushing him away.

"Aria-"

"Yes or No?", She asked as tears fell down her eyes.

"Yes, I knew.", She heard Maxim's voice from behind her father. He came forward and looked straight in her eyes.

All she could see was betrayal. She had not expected it from him. Never. Her friend, her lo-..no. She stopped herself from thinking about her feelings for him.

"Let us explain sweetheart.", Her father cooed and made her sit on the bed. Her mother and brother sat down near her too.

Maxim tried to keep himself calm and not run towards her to apologise. Yes, he was a lovesick puppy and it didn't matter what people of mafia will think about him.

He just wanted to kiss her soft lips and tell her how precious she is and how lucky he feels to even know her a little bit.

They both didn't realise when they ended up developing such deep feelings for each other but now it hurt them both like a bitch. Aria didn't meet his gaze avoiding him at all costs.

"You weren't talking Aria...we were scared..please try to understand baby.", Her mother told her the truth. They tried to tell her everything but once she started getting better they thought that it won't be right to tell her that.

"We couldn't lose you once again Aria..", her father patted her head and kissed her forehead making her sob loudly. She threw her arms around his shoulders and he held her back tighter.

"Stop crying sweetie...shh.. everything is fine..we will be happy from now on.", He rocked her gently and let her cry her heart out. He laid her down when she calmed down completely and her breathing came back to normal. Her mother tucked her inside and they kissed her head one last time before getting up.

"Stay.", Sofia whispered to Maxim when he started going out with them. He nodded thankfully and took a seat at the couch with his thoughts filled by the sweet girl sleeping calmly for now. Will she forgive him?

MAXIM'S POV:

My eyes never strayed away from her beautiful face as she slept soundly. It was an unusual sight to not see her crying after having a nightmare but I've started to accept it that she's getting better.

When she had gone missing, I knew that man was behind it. Alexander and I had already decided to put a little tracking chip in her earings and finally it helped. The delay was due to the fucking technical cell who was incompetent enough to track that chip. Then i saw that one man trying to act smart and inform that psychopath. I had put the knife at his throat and told him to not to make a sound.

He helped me find his other two friends who cried at my feet for mercy. Being such a merciful man, I had given them a fast death. I put my knives into their eyes and then shot them in between their eyebrows. It was fun but I couldn't feel the happiness that I feel while holding my...not mine..only Aria.

She is the light to my darkness and I want to be hers if that is even possible. I chuckled to myself when I realised what I was thinking. Can darkness ever be light to someone's darkness? Jokes on me.

"Why are you laughing? Hulk!", A sarcastic and irritated voice met my ears making me sigh in bliss. There she is.

"Speak up!", She snapped glaring at me. She's angry like very angry.

"Haha..nothing..", I uneasily chuckled making her glare at me harder.

"Don't come near me!", She hissed as soon as I stood up.

"Just listen to me."

"Please.", I added quickly not wanting to meet with the flower pot on her side table.

"It wasn't my right to tell you everything, flower.", My russian accent was something which I never hid from anybody and whenever her body shivered at my voice, I loved it even more.

"I didn't even lie.", I took her hands in mine.

"YOU! You asshole!", She slapped the back of my head making me shake my head. Not the time to be a dominant to her. She was somehwat of a submissive in nature but when she was mad, she turned feisty and ready to kill somebody. Alexander's blood shows its colour somehwere.

"You can abuse me.", I told her and she giggled loudly before laughing clutching her stomach.

"What is funny?", I asked making her laugh harder.

"Nothing Maxiii!", She giggled covering her mouth and patted my cheek. Affectionately? Her eyes softened even more as they met mine. Was I worthy of her affections?

No.

But once I kissed her forehead, I knew I'll be worthy for her..I'll try my best to be the man she deserves, only if she wants me too.

When I tried to pull back my lips, she held me tighter letting me know my answer.

"I will not lie to you котенок", I promised her and she nodded planting a little kiss to my heart.
