Rue sat peacefully on her bed, scrolling through Instagram on her phone. She had just gotten back to the apartment after finishing her classes.

Her phone buzzed in her hand, it was a notification from Ethan. She opened the message, his contact photo being them when they went to a photo booth.

She smiled, getting up from her bed. She walked into the living room, Chad and Tara were sitting together on the couch. "I'll
be back in a few!" Rue smiled. "Don't have too much fun." Chad laughed. "You too!"

The curly-haired girl walked down the steps, making her way downstairs. She was greeted by Ethan who was standing outside waiting for her.

"Boo!" She jumped on the boy's back, trying to scare him. "You can't scare me!" He laughed, kneeling to help her get off. "Well, at least I tried. You know, you're very hard to scare."

The two walked to the nearest Deli, opened the cooler, and grabbed a blue and red popsicle. After they paid they went to the park.

They sat down on the bench, enjoying their popsicles and each other's company.

"You know, if we kissed—" Ethan mumbled quietly. "What?" Rue asked, obviously not hearing him. "Nothing." Ethan smiled. "Tell me!"

"You know, if we kissed our tongues would be purple." He shyly smiled, looking down at his lap. "Oh, Ethan Landry I didn't think you'd ever say such a thing." She smiled, laughing.

"I don't think I'd wanna kiss you." She said sarcastically. "Well, if you must know, it was a joke." He played along, putting on an English accent.

The two looked at each other, letting a small kiss happen.
