Me, natsu, laxus and our parents igneel and grendine are driving on a busy road going to a fun fair.
'I cant wait to go!' An eight year old natsu says.
'I know I'm so exited!' I reply.
'Well don't get too exited, we don't want you burning your candyfloss like last year' our dad says chuckling.
'That was laxus!' Complains natsu.
'I don't breath fire natsu!' Says a ten year old laxus.
'But daddy does!' I reply.
'So daddy did it then?' Our mother asks smiling.
'Yeah!' We all say in unison. Our dad looks back at us chuckling and we turn a corner on the road. Then I see my mother's face go pale.
'Igneel! Look out!' She shouts, But it is too late. I see the grin on my dad's face fade before the car jolts suddenly and my world turns black.
...
I open my eyes and see the rest of my family unconscious. Natsu and laxus are okay, but my mother has blood on her face. I lean forward a bit to look at my dad. The front window of the car is shattered. I see my dad still has his eyes open, and he has blood running fron his mouth and his neck.
'Daddy?..' I start to feel dizzy again and I fall back into my seat.
...
Strange people are what I see when I open my eyes. Strange people with white masks on their mouths; And very bright lights.
'Tell his mother that he is awake and has no serious injuries.' One says.
'Should we tell her about the father too?' says another.
'Daddy?..' I ask quietly.
'We're very sorry but...'
...
'Mum?'
'Yes sting?'
'I don't like Ivyn. He's mean.'
'Honey, he is your daddy! He's not that mean.' I feel tears well up in my eyes.
'No he is not my daddy my daddy died! I want my old daddy back!'
'I'm sorry but he can't come back, but don't worry. I will always keep you safe.'
...
I watch as the car drives away with natsu and my mother in it.
'Good riddens!' Ivyn says before dragging me and laxus back inside.
...
'I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me!'
I cry curling up into a ball.
'You useless boy! You will learn real magic! The magic of darkness!' Ivyn hits me again and I sob.
'Stop it! You're hurting him!' Laxus shouts and tries to stop Ivyn from hitting me again.
'You will pay for that boy!' Ivyn says and drags laxus into a different room.
I hear all the hits and all the cries of pain.
...
I wake up sweating hard.
It's over now sting. No more pain sting.
I roll onto my back and fall asleep again, forgetting the nightmares. The memories.
