We laugh together, we cry together
These simple feelings were everything I had
When will it be?

The royal servant walked into Jungkook’s cottage, placing the load of food supplies in a wooden box on the table. There was cooked food in it too, the aroma spreading through the room right into Seokjin’s nose.

The older man suddenly lost interest in his noodles bowl and it seemed tasteless. The servant bowed and left the room and as soon as he did, Seokjin jumped for the food. This was usual Seokjin behavior; he stuffed his mouth with the delicious eatables as much as he could.

Jungkook walked back into the cottage with a warm smile on his lips and eyes shiny as he traced his fingers on the dragons designed on the dark garment, more like a waist belt.

"Yah Jungkook-ah! What did you do for the Prince to give you all this? Wait- does this mean you have been favored all this time? You didn't even bother telling me?" Seokjin asked with an expression of disbelief but Jungkook didn't pay attention to him.

He just sat down, eyes still fixed on the cloth with a smile that never left his lips. Seokjin silently stared at him with narrowed eyes.

"What is this?" Seokjin asked but Jungkook didn't answer so he snatched it away impatiently. Jungkook immediately stood up with clenched fists and a frown. Angry Jungkook was not something to be underestimated and Seokjin gulped just by the way his looks changed.

"Give it to me." Jungkook said with a stern voice.

"Is this royal silk? Yah! Why are you getting these? So expensive."

"Seokjin hyung. Give it back." Before Seokjin could ask further, Jungkook snatched the silk back into his arms.

"Whatever, not like I'm interested to know. Mind telling me what’s with all this food?" Seokjin asked with his hands on his hips and Jungkook just shrugged his shoulders.

"All yours, eat well. I have something better." With that the young trainer walked into his room, admiring the waist belt in his hands like a kid and Seokjin frowned in confusion.

"What did I miss in the last month?"

Next day, Prince Taehyung waited for Jungkook to arrive at their usual place, the cottage. It was a little rainy that day and the dark clouds hid the scorching, bright Sun beneath coolly.

Taehyung pressed his fingers between his lips, a typical sign that he is in deep thinking, might be something serious.

"Will Jungkook not arrive today because he didn’t see the Sun rising up?" He thought but then hit his own head at the stupid thought.

"Sun indeed rose up today but we just couldn't see. Good job Taehyungie." He whispered to himself as he walked back and forth with his fingers still fixed between his lips.

"Why is he so late today then, or I am early? Wait, what is happening to me?" Taehyung sighed in frustration and sat down with puffed up cheeks, waiting for the bunny-like trainer to arrive.

Jungkook was late because it heavily rained in the early morning. He had to wait until the rainfall turned into soft drizzling. As soon as the weather cleared, Jungkook wore his coolie hat to walk to the kingdom. The Sun’s rays peeked out through the parting clouds, forming a silver lining.

Jungkook then looked at the all clear sky and sighed as he pulled out his hat.

"Pardon me for my tardiness, your Majesty." Jungkook announced as soon as he reached the gardens. He stood at the door of the cottage, bowing at the Prince.

Taehyung’s eyes lit up when he heard Jungkook’s voice but he still managed to sit still. He had his cheeks so puffy and lips in a fake pout. Jungkook bowed at the Prince again who still had his gaze fixed away.

Jungkook raised his head to notice how silent Taehyung was, fiddling with his fingers with the cutest expression, letting the other know he was upset.

"Did I do something wrong, your Majesty?" Jungkook asked and moved closer to Taehyung, slowly kneeling in front of him.

"Yes, I remember telling you to call me by my name but you're calling me Majesty." Taehyung huffed and looked away with crossed arms and Jungkook chuckled in relief.

"Forgive me and I am very sorry, Taehyung?" He whispered and Taehyung turned to face him with the brightest smile on his lips.

His sudden change of mood like a kid, made Jungkook smile at him too.

"What punishment do I deserve for forgetting your command, Taehyung?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung pretended to think, patting his chin with his index finger as his eyes moved left and right.

"No punishment but I have an order. Let's go to the meadows together." Taehyung said and Jungkook smiled.

"We can't miss the training, Prince- I mean Taehyung."

"Then you are not forgiven." Taehyung crossed his arms again and looked away.

Jungkook sighed defeated and thought that maybe agreeing to Prince's order for a day won't bring any harm to their usual routine.

"Okay but only after we finish practicing yesterday’s lessons." He agreed finally and Taehyung showed his boxy smile to him.

The clouds were in a running state; the bright star sometimes peeking at them and sometimes completely hidden. Overly it was very blissful weather for a trip to the meadows.

Taehyung stepped into the green lush; the dew drops on the grass with the small yellow flowers looked splendidly beautiful. The trees had bloomed very well, some even bearing fruits.

Jungkook wearing the gifted belt that day didn’t go unnoticed by the Prince. The silk suited his dark attire and it only pleased Taehyung even more. The younger stopped in his tracks to wait for the older to join beside him.

"Did you like it, Jungkookie?"

Jungkook suddenly stopped walking as he heard the new nickname from Taehyung with his sweet voice. Taehyung stopped with him too, pointing at Jungkook's waist belt.

"The best thing I have ever received. Thank you so much, Taehyungie." And it was Taehyung’s turn to be flustered, eyes widening as slight blush appeared on his bread cheeks by a mere nickname.

"It is wonderful." Jungkook whispered, walking ahead but Taehyung just stood there.

He smiled on his own before running to catch up with Jungkook. They walked side by side, eyes wandering at the verdant greensward. Taehyung casually extended his hand towards Jungkook's to hold, the older of the two gaping at the long, slender hand of the younger and then to his own.

Jungkook gladly held his hand in his own and the feeling struck him so hard. Though Taehyung felt content and smiled at it, for Jungkook the gesture was full of admiration and humility.

Taehyung was a Prince, a royal, beyond imagination for someone like Jungkook. He thought that he was just a normal boy who belonged to the outskirts of the town with no glory and wealth but the way Taehyung treated him was very precious. No one has ever treated him with such respect and kindness and coming from a Prince himself doubled the goodness he felt.

Taehyung swung their held hands back and forth as they walked further into the meadows and Jungkook was just too lost in admiring him. With every passing second, Taehyung became more and more beautiful in his eyes. Jeon Jungkook couldn't help the feeling of ecstasy in his heart.

Even though he would deny, his heart was undoubtedly falling for the Prince.

"Ah, look! Jungkookie, the bird. It's here again." Taehyung ran in the direction of the bird, dropping Jungkook's hand who now stared blankly at his own. The loss of contact felt so frustrating but he smiled at his sudden urge in holding those soft hands again.

Taehyung ran after the bird but it flew away, startled by his sudden voice. It eventually sat on the branch of a tree and Taehyung returned back frowning.

"It flew away. I bet it hates my presence." He whined and Jungkook chuckled at the prince.

"No it doesn’t and it's still over there." Jungkook pointed out.

"But it's on a tree." He whined again and Jungkook seriously wanted to squeeze those round cheeks.

"So? I’m sure that you can climb up and see him closely like you did last time." Jungkook suggested but the younger male frowned.

"Don't you remember how I ended up falling on you?" Taehyung reminded and Jungkook smiled.

"Don’t worry. I’ll catch you this time, safely." He said, his voice toned with assurity and Taehyung had no more excuses to deny.

He nodded and climbed up the tree easily but all he feared was the getting down part but now that Jungkook assured he wouldn’t, our young Prince had no fear.

He clutched onto some branches for support as he stood on a branch admiring the bird so close. The effort was definitely worth every branch he climbed because the birdie was very beautiful. Jet black face, round eyes, blue feathers adorned with a mix of the green below and a salient peek.

"So pretty." He whispered and later the bird flew away.

He smiled out of joy as he finally got to see it so closely.

"Are you fine up there Taehyung?" Jungkook asked and Taehyung looked down at the other.

"Yes. The birdie is gone."

"Come down then."

Jungkook spread his arms as he stood under the tree. Taehyung gulped but nodded nonetheless. He couldn't doubt Jungkook's strength at any given chance.

"Careful." Jungkook said and Taehyung nodded again.

Taehyung exhaled and slowly descended down, holding firm onto some branches and then swiftly into Jungkook's arms that held him steady and strong.

Taehyung's hands automatically snaked around Jungkook's neck and Jungkook's one arm was under the other's thighs and the other around his waist, carrying him in bridal style.

Their eyes locked together and Taehyung watched the older so closely. His heart was beating so fastly at the closeness. Jungkook saw how Taehyung slowly blinked with his long eyelashes and Jungkook's breath hitched. Taehyung was just so pretty.

Crimson shades appeared on both their cheeks slowly and Jungkook's hands began to tremble a little. The foreign feeling ran over his head and all he wanted to do was to land his lips on those plum lips of the Prince, just so soft and welcoming.

Kiss the Prince? What?

The thought innocently flashed into Jungkook’s mind like it was nothing. His sweet mind led him further and made him imagine it happening.

That was the last straw. Jeon Jungkook, the famous warrior, lost his control at the images flashing in his mind and tripped, bringing the Prince down on the ground with him and their back hitting the ground.

"Oww." Taehyung winced in pain and Jungkook sat up, eyes widened as he realized that he just dropped the Prince.

"Oh my God, Taehyung are you alright? Pardon me, I’m so-" He apologized in a panic but Taehyung started to laugh out loud, so much that his eyes began watering.

Jungkook was confused but he couldn't help it either when he saw the other one laughing so hard. He joined him, chuckling loudly and they just laughed like kids.

The laugh that made them go crazy that they didn't even realise they started to cry, probably because their cheeks were tired. They tried to stop as they wiped the tears from their eyes now but as they stole a glance of each other, they burst out into a laugh again which lasted long for a good while.

Taehyung sighed after laughing for a few good minutes. He then proceeded to lay down on the enough dried grass by the bright sun after the rain, eyes fixing on the sky and the walking clouds in it. He patted Jungkook to do the same.

"Well, that was fun."

"I’m so sorry Taehyung. I didn’t mean to…."

"I’m alright Jungkookie."

They two were down on the grass, looking at the sky peacefully and Taehyung spoke again.

"The sky reminds me of my favorite poem. Do you want to hear it, Jungkookie?"

"Of course! It would be lovely, I’m sure."

Taehyung smiled, confidence boosting him as he sang a midline of the poem.

"The sky longed for its shine yet too blinded by the clouds…..
Even though I always know the morning will come-"

"To stay in your sky like a star." Jungkook finished the line, surprising Taehyung who sat up with wide eyes. Jungkook smiled and sat up too, this was Jungkook’s favorite poem too.

"Still with you...." They whispered the last line together, eyes fixed on each other as if they were to drown into them.

The silence slowly engulfed them and the unheard melody of their heart was finally heard that day. They had realized deep in their heart that maybe how they met wasn't just a coincidence but definitely their destiny.

Taehyung smiled at the other and Jungkook smiled back at him, slowly stretching his hand to hold Taehyung's who accepted it gladly. The two now turned their heads together to watch the settling sky.

"Prince Min missed today's class, your Majesty. He was seen in meadows with trainer Jeon Jungkook." One of the court men informed King Min who was sitting on his throne. Pale, blank face but eyes filled with darkness as always.

King Min just nodded at the man but took note of the information in his head while stroking the gold lion's head, designed on the armrest of the throne.

"Always so silly, brother."
