"I have been looking everywhere for you and here you are on the balcony...alone" Jeongguk paused before he said alone, his hands still around Taehyung's waist, placed firmly and had no plans of letting go. He felt Taehyung stiffen but then slowly leaned into his embrace.

"Why? Did you expect me to be with someone? Unlike you, I didn't have a date to come with" He sounded bitter when he was just tired.

"Well, I did see you getting cosy with my cousin earlier, " Jeongguk replied.

"Cousin? Who- oh you mean uh..lily? That was her name, right? I met her today for the first time if I am being honest with you. She doesn't seem to like you though" He mentioned making the younger chuckle as he left the boy's waist and stood in front of him face to face. His hand is still resting on Taehyung's waist, just within a distance.

"That might have to do something with you. Met her when I went to the UK to meet a client. Never seen her before, barely even knew I had a cousin there but yeah. I, um, still had a photo of you as my lock screen and she saw it. She got mad and was claiming how you are her boyfriend and I got more mad because I didn't want to believe the fact you had already started dating someone..even though we had been separated for 3 years. It still hurts you know, so yeah I told her you are MY boyfriend, told her how you probably don't even know her name while I have you moaning mine in bed" Jeongguk mentioned making Taehyung cheeks go red and making him scoff.

"Jeongguk!" He called him out on the absurd thing he just heard, it was true but it was embarrassing. "What?? It is the truth since you saw her for the first time today, so she was lying about dating you. It's safe to say she got very mad"

"So did you"

"Hey, at least I dated you at one point, can't say the same about her. What's with all this though? Do you like her?" He sounded annoyed, making Taehyung raise his eyebrow at the sudden interest. "It's your uncle, he keeps on pushing me to date his daughter ever since he found out I'm single"

"Why don't you date her then?" Jeonnguk said, making Taehyung look at him in confusion and disbelief at the same time. He blinked twice before saying something again.

"Are you being serious right now? Did you really just ask me that?"

"..yeah? I mean she is pretty, has her own business and is independent. She's perfect for you" He kept on going, making Taehyung mad. He furrowed his brows.

"Jeongguk, I let you fuck me last night, Is that not enough explanation why I am not dating anyone else or even considering it???" Taehyung said, taking the other man back a bit.

"Come on Taehyung, that wasn't a big deal, It was just sex" He put his hand on Taehyung's face, stroking it. Making the older, push his hand away.

"Having sex might not be a big deal but my feelings are Jeongguk. You need to realise that I am still in love with you. You are dating people, you have moved on. I am happy for you. But if you keep touching me like this and keep giving me false hope that something can happen between us again then I won't be able to move on. It hurts, Jeongguk. Seeing you with jake, laughing with him, touching him and acting like nothing has changed as if you didn't spend the last night with me"

"Why are you making this so difficult, Taehyung?? What do you even want?" he questioned him.

"All I am saying is this if you want to keep this up then break up with Jake. You are hurting both of us if you keep things like this"

"Jake and I aren't even dating!" He declared, throwing his hands in the air with frustration.

"But he still has feelings for you and you are seeing him, giving him false hope that more can happen is not right. I don't want to be his replacement or your mistress, Jeongguk. So choose who you want to be with." he paused and spoke again.

"If you choose me...I won't make the same mistakes I made before because I would rather not live than be without you. You have become the reason that I breathe and proof of my existence. It's toxic but I don't care If I have you Jeongguk. So make your choice" He spoke his heart out,leaving Jeongguk speechless. Not even making eye contact with the latter anymore.

He nodded to himself,knowing he won't get a solid answer right now. Turning his back towards Jeongguk, walking away from him. His steps felt heavy but the younger one calling his name out didn't even stop him because he really doesn't have to listen to him anymore if he can't provide him with what Taehyung wanted.

Walking a bit faster because he doesn't want Jeongguk to follow him. Once he was back into the main lounge with everyone still in the same place he left them. Before he could walk back into the crowd looking for Jimin or Yoongi, he felt something hard poking his back. A metal type object on his back.

He cursed himself for letting his guard down because he knows what is. He's too familiar with the object to not know what it is. Feeling a strong presence behind him. The gun seems loaded so he better not do something especially not with all these people here.

"Keep moving, I won't hurt you unless you do something you know I don't want you to do" he heard a raspy unfamiliar voice speak to him. He has a gun in his pocket. He can debunk this right now but once again not in the right place.

So he started to lead this man out of this place, trying not to look suspicious. He tried so hard to find anyone he knows here that can help him but no one was suddenly in his sight. He gulped when the gun was poking him a bit too hard, that would leave a mark. "What do you want? What is your motive?"

"Your dead body" he answered so nonchalantly. Taehyung wanted to laugh at him for thinking he can kill him this easily. Back in his peak days, he used to kill multiple people like him in seconds. He can still do that because he is looking for the opportunity to make the move.

Soon enough they were outside in the parking lot out of people's stares. What a big house, they have a whole backyard for parking. He can't believe no one noticed him. "Now get down on your knees and don't you d- ARGH!" The man cut himself by screaming in pain. He falls to his knees, his gun flying out of his reach. Taehyung turned around to see blood coming out of the man's back, he got shot.

The man tries to grab it again but Taehyung immediately takes his gun out and shoots the strange man's arm. The adrenaline rushed through his body, his head shooting up to meet the eyes of his saviour. His poker yet timid face turned into a softer one, eyebrows furrowing as he let his guard down.

"Jeongguk..." He trailed, The younger put his gun away and ran towards Taehyung, cupping his face and examining to see if he was harmed anywhere. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you anywhere? I saw you going out of the main door with this asshole and followed until I saw the gun. I hope I wasn't late, he didn't hurt you right?" His voice trembled in fear, his eyes so focused on Taehyung, worried as if Taehyung was so fragile.

"I-I am okay, Don't worry you saved me before he could pull anything but you shouldn't have shot him Jeongguk"

"But if I didn't he would have done something to you and I wouldn't have been able to live if something happened to you" He responded, Taehyung wants to run away because his heart is beating so loud he fears Jeongguk might hear it. "Still, you can't get blood on your hands because of me. This is why I said Jeongguk, danger follows me everywhere no matter what position I'm in"

"And I just showed you, Hyung. I am capable of protecting myself, I am capable of being with you"

"That's if you chose me, Jeongguk. You still haven't made your decision yet" He said to him, walking toward the man who was laying on the cement pavement, groaning in pain as a lot of blood was coming out.

He doesn't know what to do. He has no idea who this man is and where he is from. So thankfully two angels come to his rescue as he hears two men calling his name out. He looked at his side to see Jimin and Yoongi running towards them. Eyes Widened when their eyes fell on the man laying on the ground.

"Who the fuck is this? Everyone in the hall heard gunshots and when I noticed you two were missing ,I took yoongi and ran out. I told you it was them" Jimin said to Yoongi who rolled his eyes while looking at the man.

"Well we have no time to argue.Hajoon is sending security to check so help me pick him up so we can take him out of sight and out of here. You two distract them or something ,come on Jimin" Yoongi picked the man up by one side of the  shoulder ,Jimin chuckled. "It's funny to see the 'king' picking up a commoner"

"Jimin!!"

"Sorry sorry,let's go. Taehyung-ah find your ride home" Jimin picked up the other side of the man's shoulder and both started to drag him away.

Taehyung was looking at them,zoned out for a second when he felt himself being dragged away. Jeongguk had grabbed his wrist and took him to where the exit door was,the same place they all came out of.  He pulled him towards himself,making Taehyung's body completely pressed against his.

He heard footsteps coming from the stairs ,looking back at Jeongguk who had a smirk on his face. He pushed Taehyung,his back hitting the opened door. "What are you doing?"

"Hoarding the door,just follow my lead" With that he softly pressed his lips next to Taehyung's.

His lips fit perfectly with Taehyung's ,it was like they were waiting to meet their rightful place. He immediately kissed him back ,even though it was used as a cover and he shouldn't be kissing after what they talked about but he still can't reject a kiss from his most adored one. His hands made their way to Jeonnguk's waist ,grabbing him to pull him closer to his body.

Their lips moved in perfect sync ,sucking softly on Taehyung's lips ,making the older let out a light moan. Jeongguk smiled while kissing when he heard the soft moan. His hand wrapped around Taehyung's neck,pulling him deeper. He could feel his whole body just shutting down because of how good he was feeling.

They were so immersed in their 'cover up' kiss they didn't even notice the three security guards now just staring at them in shock,really amused by the kiss but very awkward at the  same time because how are they supposed to separate this passionate couple?

They fake coughed and the first time,the two genuinely didn't hear it,they lowkey forgot they are supposed to be distracting guards (which they are doing) and not just full on make out because of their inner desires.
The second time they faked coughed,they both came out of the little moment they were having. Pulling away from their kiss and Taehyung was far gone,he can feel his knees going weak. He just buried his head into Jeongguk's coat. The younger one could feel himself getting flustered because of how Taehyung was acting.

Turning his towards the guards with an angry expression. "Can't you see I am in the middle of something? Me and my boyfriend are having a moment" He pointed towards Taehyung with a scowl on his face.

The guards immediately recognised Jeongguk,he was hajoon's nephew and well known in Jeon Jeongguk. Everyone knows him in this party as he has been the talk around the town ever since he arrived in Seoul. Though many were bummed the young hot bachelor came with a boyfriend but no one knows what his boyfriend looks like.

"S-sorry sir,we didn't know it was you and your boyfriend. Your uncle asked to check around because we heard gunshots. We wanted to check outside" They asked him to move,still apologising.

"Gunshots? I have been here for the past half an hour. I didn't hear shit" Jeongguk said but Taehyung knew it wasn't convincing enough.

"B-baby,I think they are talking about the fireworks"

"Fireworks??" Jeongguk was more confused Raising his eyebrow at Taehyung. "Yeah,Across the road I saw the house having some celebration too" Taehyung made up an excuse and Jeongguk just played.

"Oh yes,Instead of the backyard parking lot,you should go to the other houses to check. I can't believe Uncle hired incompetent people like you-" Jeongguk tried to appear more rude and harsh.

"It's alright,baby. They just made a mistake,let them go. You guys should check the front instead" Taehyung grabbed Jeongguk's arm,rubbing it to 'calm him down'.

"We are very sorry for disturbing you,it is indeed our fault for not realising that earlier. We are sorry. Let's go" He kept on apologising as the three guards went away.

Once they were out of their sight,The two burst out laughing. Their acting skills amazed them. I mean it was not hard to play something they have played before. Jeongguk soon calmed down and just stared at Taehyung with an endearing smile.

He saw him laughing,his nose crunched and lips forming into the cute box smile of his. His hair falling on his eyes. He pushed some strands out of his face,tucking them behind his ear. "You are so beautiful" Jeongguk said without even realising. Taehyung felt like a teenager because he could feel himself getting flustered. immediately changing the subjects

"Thanks?...Y-You were too harsh on them,make sure to put a good word on them to your uncle later because I feel bad after seeing their scared faces when you were scolding them" Taehyung told him.

"Yeah,same. I definitely will do that. Check up on those two,are they out?" Jeongguk asked Taehyung who took his phone out of his pocket,unlocking it to see Text messages from Yoongi.

"Yoongi said they managed to take the man to the car and out of this place safely,now Jimin is driving them to the base so they can deal with him. Will keep me updated. Also he told me to call a uber since I came with Yoongi and he took my car"

"Well that's great. Let's go home then. I don't have the means to stay here anymore" Jeongguk said to him,calling his place home. Taehyung hesitated a bit.

"What about Jake?"

"We came separately. He can go back on his own. Now come on let's go,I am really tired" He held Taehyung's hand,pulling him towards where his car was.

"Ok but you are not coming inside my house. You need to think about us" Taehyung made sure to let him know,The younger one nodded.

"Ofcourse,I just want to drop you home safe,Tae. No funny business" He called him Tae.He hasn't heard that in a long time.

With that he let himself into Jeongguk's care and hoped everything would go alright. It shouldn't get any worse.
