The distressed look on Jeongguk's face displaying thousands of emotions was a memory Taehyung won't ever forget. Seeing the younger feels like a dream, but seeing him look this emotional to see Taehyung wasn't what he thought would happen. It pains him because Jeongguk might not be living much different from him, and he can't live with that fact.

"Jeongguk I-" Taehyung was cut off before he could even mutter a single word.

"Don't. Don't say a single word,Taehyung. You lost every right to call my name 5 years ago. It's Mr Jeon to you now. I apologise for my emotional response before; it's just really hard to see you again. It was your choice to break up and it's mine to never see you again out of business, so let's respect each other, right? I don't want to repeat that. Let's be professional." Jeongguk immediately shut him down, not giving him any chance to explain. "So CEO Kim, shall we proceed with the meeting?"

The cold-hearted response shredded Taehyung's heart into pieces. He couldn't believe what he was hearing but he expected this much. he expected worse, actually; he is disappointed. He wanted Jeongguk to yell at him and scream at him because he deserves that, but Jeongguk decided to not even spare him a glance anymore and that hurts.

Soon, the other meeting members came, and eventually, the meeting took place. Taehyung has completely forgotten about the meeting. How can he focus on the sales and his management when the love of his life is sitting in front of him, just having as much as a hard time trying to concentrate.

He saw how Jeongguk's face fell. He put his palms on his face; he looked seconds away from crying. Since one of the members was presenting, the room was dark and nobody was looking at Jeongguk except Taehyung. He wanted to run over to the younger side and hug him, kiss him, comfort him but he couldn't. He has to respect Jeongguk's wishes.

"So um, Mr Jeon, what do you think of our presentation? Is our business to your liking? We made s-sure to include every single requirement of ours so you know what you are going to be dealing with?" He stumbled with his words a bit because his nerves were having the best of him. 

Jeongguk glanced at Him, making eye contact. He composed himself in seconds that was astonishing for sure. It gave time for Taehyung to just look at the man. His grown features were just amazing. He has gotten so much more handsome and very mature. The way his jaw is more defined and his doe eyes that used to stare at him with such love are now replaced with a cold stare that hurts him.

...So yeah, that is my proposal. Do you agree, CEO Kim?" Jeongguk asked. Taehyung pushed himself out of his daydreams to focus on what he was saying.

"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"

"I said I would invest in 10% of the shares of your company and I want to have a full partnership on your newest product because I believe it would be a success and of course, once our name and your name would be attached for the product, The fame it will get will blow it up either way. This is a win-win situation, so are we in agreement?" Jeongguk explained more about his proposal. The older one was impressed by how smartly Jeongguk talked. He sure has learned a lot about business in the last years they were apart.

"This is a great opportunity for us. I would be a fool to say no to a proposition like that. Mr Jeon, congratulations on being my new business partner. " Taehyung stood up with a fake smile as he extended his hand for a handshake.

Jeongguk looked at the hand for a second and immediately grabbed it, shaking it while staring right into Taehyung's eyes. Touching him again even if it is only his hands…he won't take this for granted. They were too busy just staring at each other. Yoongi had to cough for them to snap out of it, making them wonder if others were suspicious of them.

"Well then, me and my secretary will take our leave. It was nice doing business with you, CEO Kim. May our paths collide soon, " Jeongguk smirked at him, giving a little bow and exiting the room. Taehyung thinks he wants the exact opposite to happen.

All of the other members also excuses themselves from Taehyung and exited the room to go back to their work. Once the room was empty, leaving him and Yoongi alone in there,Taehyung fell to his knees.

Yoongi ran towards the man who was now sitting on the floor, shaking like crazy. His eyes met with the younger, and he saw just tears rolling down his cheek nonstop. He was having a breakdown. His eyes softened; he knew how much they loved each other. He has been here since the start, so he knows the pain Taehyung is feeling.

"Hyung, it hurts so much. My heart hurts so much. " Taehyung cried more and more; Yoongi hugged him and rubbed his back. "It's alright,Taehyung-ah. I am sorry I didn't know this would happen. "

"You knew he was coming???"

"Yes, When I was emailing them to review our product, I did a background check on them and found out that the CEO Kang was actually Jeon Jeongguk,I found out just some days ago too. I was going to tell you but I thought it would be better if you met him yourself"

"You still would have told me,Hyung. I can't believe this. He was so cold, he told me to never talk to him again out of business. He told me it was my decision, after all. He was right. I have been regretting it for the last 5 years, and I still haven't gotten over it; it's all my fault. Is it bad that I'm glad he hasn't too?" Taehyung asked Yoongi who just sighed.

"Taehyung,I am saying this because I love you. You need to move on, I don't know if you guys can have back what you had before but I do know you can find closure. I don't want you to suffer anymore Taehyung, you don't fucking deserve it, you have been through enough you have gotten the punishment for your decisions but that's it. You need to talk to him and find closure at least. this is the least you both can do for yourself "

Yoongi made many points and he was absolutely right. They both deserve closure at the least. He needs to move on…but he doesn't know if he can so he just nodded for now.

"Come on, let me take you home, I'll postpone your other work for Tomorrow. It's better if you just go home. I will call Jimin and he will take you home. You are not fit to drive right now and I have pending work. I will bring you some water okay? just sit" With that Yoongi exited the room, leaving Taehyung on the floor to cry. He doesn't know what will happen but he knows one thing for sure: he doesn't want Jeongguk to be a stranger again.

Soon enough,Jimin came to pick Taehyung up the second Yoongi explained the situation. Latter left everything and ran to his car to get to his best friend because this is the situation he was scared to face from the last few years. He even called Namjoon to tell him he will stay over at Taehyung's tonight and Namjoon was understanding and told he would check up on Jeongguk too.

They were sitting inside the car in uncomfortable silence. Taehyung wanted to know so much and he wondered if Jimin had his answers. He must have known that he is dating Jeongguk's best friend for god's sake.

"Did you know?" He asked Jimin who ignored the eye contact and had his eyes fixed on the road.

"Taehyung,I-"

"Don't even try to lie to me,Jimin. You are dating Namjoon,he must have told you something"

"I knew,for a long time now, about where he was and how he was doing. I didn't until like a year ago when I met him,when Joonie and I went to America for vacation. He wanted to meet Jeongguk and I tagged along. We talked a lot and He held no grudges toward me. I wanted to tell you but I couldn't,Jeongguk begged me to not tell you anything about it,I couldn't betray him" Jimin explained his side.

Parking his car to the side because he couldn't focus on driving when the conversation was this serious. He held his best friend's hand and squeezed it firmly. Trying to comfort him.

"But you betrayed me,Jimin. You should have told me,I have been looking for him as a madman for 5 years because I just wanted closure. I am not asking him to take me back because I know what I have done and that won't ever happen again because of my decisions. I don't know if that was the right decision but I do know I still love that man so much it pains me to see him like that. You could have warned me today at least"

"I didn't know any of this was happening,Taehyung-ah. I didn't know suddenly you would be making deals with fucking Jeongguk's company,I didn't even think that would ever happen. Both of you didn't know and guess today's meeting was just fate giving you guys another chance" He laughed at another chance thing Jimin just talked about.

"Whenever our eyes met,he looked at me with such intense emotions I felt like I could cry by just looking at him. He hates me and I don't blame him" He tried not to cry but thinking about the younger man's face,makes it hard to not cry.

"Tae,You guys should talk"

"He doesn't want to talk to me"

"He needs to talk to you. I don't know about getting back together but both of you need to talk to move on. I can't have my best friend and Jeongguk suffering like this,not anymore. I have seen you in the last 5 years and I have seen the drastic change in Jeongguk too,I don't want both of you to be this miserable for the rest of your lives" He made several points. 

"I don't have his number, how will I talk to him?" 

"I would convince Namjoon to help me out with this one and try to convince Jeongguk to talk to you. Maybe I'll get his phone number and give it to you,play your cards right" Jimin tells him. Taehyung wipes his tears and Nods.

"Thank you,Jimin" He hugged his best friend, taking him in his arms. Jimin hugged him back and kissed his cheek. "You don't need to thank me for anything that's the least I can do" Jimin told him as he started to drive again.

Within a few minutes,they reached Taehyung's penthouse. Jimin wanted to come in but Taehyung didn't let him,saying he needs to have some time to himself to just think about some things. Even when he insisted the younger one still didn't bug.  So He just drove as Taehyung went inside the building. 

Bad decision indeed because the first thing the older did when he entered his place was to get the Soju bottle out of his fridge. He needs something in his system that will make him forget about today, something to wash his sorrow down with.

One bottle became two and two bottles became 5. Just chugging down,as he lay on the cold tiled floor. His tears made a pool around him as the drowsiness took upon him. After just crying and crying, he soon passed out from drinking too much to the point of exhaustion.

It was better for him. Because more drinks down his system and he would have to deal with bigger problems than just the thoughts of his ex-lover. 

It was the next day when Taehyung woke up. Since he passed out in the middle of the afternoon yesterday,He was awake and it was like 8 pm. He can't believe he slept that much…more like passed out from too much alcohol intake. Before he could even acknowledge his messed up state, his head was pounding super badly. It felt like someone was hammering his head as hard as they could. Groaning in pain as he stood up from the floor.

He could feel his back hurting too from laying on the cold floor for hours straight. The pungent smell of alcohol was all around him. The multiple bottles on the table and a mess made out of his living room. He got too fucked up last night. Rubbing his eyes,as he wanted to shower too since his whole body felt so sticky it was disgusting. 

Taking off his clothes as he walked into the bathroom. Turning on the shower,the hot water dripped down his body. Breathing properly so he can clear himself out. Doing his normal routine. Once he got out of shower,He quickly changed into some comfortable clothes. 

Deciding he is going to head out and get some medicine for himself because his head will kill him. Maybe some hangover soup too. Taking his car keys and phones as he walked outside the room to the main door. Turning on his phone to see a bunch of notifications on his lock screen.

He figured that Yoongi must have been calling him because he did miss work after all and Jimin,maybe something related to Jeongguk? He doesn't know but he hopes so. He sent a quick text to both of the men to let them know he is alright and just passed out early yesterday. That's why he wasn't available the whole day so they won't freak out.

Reached the pharmacy and got some medicines for himself. As he was walking toward his car, he heard a very similar tone. The similar muffled music he heard approximately 6 years ago that swayed him to go inside that bar as if he was getting hypnotised. Then a similar voice came.

His eyes widened as he heard the lyrics. He could never forget this song even in his worst days. It's the song that introduced him to the angel he loves today. The same beautiful voice that taught him the meaning of life. He didn't even care about going home anymore and decided to follow the song because that was the only thing that might lead him to Jeongguk.

The lyrics went on,the sound getting clearer and clearer. It was shocking how he still remembered every single lyric to this song even though he hasn't heard it in years now.

He found himself standing in front of the bar that he hasn't looked back at ever since his world left. The 'Mi Casa' Logo that shines brightly in this dark night felt like a tunnel leading him to another place with an angel in it that sang with such melody. He entered the bar and his eyes fell on the stage.

It was all the same as it was before,it's like nothing changed here except…there's no one on the stage anymore but the speakers around him were still playing 'still with you', the song that led him to this place.

He scoffed at his dumbness, Ofcourse Jeongguk wouldn't be here anymore. He is a CEO himself now,he has no business coming here anymore. Sighing,turned his heels to go back out. Just when he was about to reach the door handle and walk out.

The door opened himself,revealing two more customers and one too familiar he felt the oxygen leave his body. 

There was Jeongguk standing right in front of him, entering the club. He also paused when his eyes met directly with Taehyung's. He was looking amazing, So much more than Taehyung who had a hell of a night and was now in sweats. Before Taehyung could even mutter a word, his eyes fell on the person who had their hand intertwined with Jeongguk.

A man, He had a silky blonde that shined even in dim light, the light glitter on his cheeks and eyelids looking like stars and the pink gloss on his lips. He looked like some kind of idol. He was dressed in clothes that looked like they cost a thousand bucks at least.

He was too pretty, So much more than Taehyung…that's what Taehyung thinks.

Felt a lump in his throat, His heart falling down his chest. Does Jeongguk have a boyfriend?
