When Jeongguk said His family is rich,he really didn't expect them to be this rich. Driving into the rich neighbourhood was already a sign that he's a big deal but the house itself shocked Taehyung. 

It was almost a mansion if he says so. It could fit multiple families inside. The huge white house,With a big pathway to enter it and a garage full of branded cars. The garden groomed nicely and the whole thing just screamed Privelleged.

"Holy shit Jeongguk,is your mother a billionaire or something?? Your house is huge!!" He told the man who was driving into his garage,parking it there.

"A billionaire is a stretch,A millionaire yeah. I told you we are very rich, why are you so shocked?"

"I don't know I get shocked whenever I see rich people and their things"

"Says the one who is wearing a five thousand dollars Armani suit and lives in a literal penthouse in one of the most expensive Seoul buildings" He rolled his eyes,Making Taehyung chuckle.

"Listen,I was born poor and thrown on streets so everything I have right now is because I earned it. This house seems like it came out of generational wealth" He commented,Both of them getting out of the car.

"Hyungie,When my father left we were poor as fuck. Thanks to my mother for working 24/7 and neglecting her kids so she can put food on the table now that we have this. Didn't I tell you this story before?" 

"I don't remember" 

"Whatever but yeah she's very rich now. There's a reason I live in such a nice apartment when my job doesn't pay that much. Anyway,Let's go in now" Jeongguk told him.

He held Taehyung's hand and made sure the grip was tight enough. Walking into the porch as he rang the bell a few times. Patiently waiting for someone to open the door. Soon the door opened in a few seconds. 

Greeted by a huge smile on Jaewon's face as he looked at his brother and potential brother in law. "Hyung!!'' He jumped into his brother's arms.  Jeongguk hugged him back with the same smile on his face.

He noticed how identical they looked as they had the same smile. I mean ofcourse they are brothers so they would have some features that are identical. 

"Taehyung hyung you are here too! You look really handsome" His brother complimented him,making Taehyung grin too.

"Thank you so much,Jaewon-ah. You look really dashing too" He commented. Making the little man grin widely.

"Wonnie,Let the guests come in, don't hog them in the entrance" A high pitched voice came from the hallway end.

They both entered the house,walking inside to see where the voice came from. Reaching the Living room and saw a petite yet very young girl sitting on the couch. Jeongguk immediately recognised her as he had seen her before.

"Oh Seri you are here too! How have you been?" Jeongguk sat down on another couch with Taehyung next to him. 

"I am alright,What about you?" 

"I am good too"

"Who is she?" Taehyung asked Jeongguk as he realised how bad Taehyung's memory is when Jaewon literally told them about her 4 days ago.

"Oh, it's rude of me to not introduce myself. Taehyung hyung this is Seri,My girlfriend. Seri,This is Taehyung hyung,my brother's boyfriend" Jaewon introduced them to each other, Taehyung felt himself blushing a little at 'boyfriend'.

The young girl came towards him as she shook his hands. She really was pretty for a 13 year old. Taehyung chuckled under his breath when his own image popped up when he was that age. Bad skin,bad hair and very bad fashion sense. He is glad puberty hit him with a truck and he's this hot right now. No wonder he couldn't pull anyone with his younger self.

"Oh my god I finally met you. Jaewon has been telling me all about you and how you look like a kpop idol. You really do,have you ever tried auditioning?" She asked him out of nowhere,making them laugh.

"I am a 26 year old Man,I don't think anyone would take me in. I also don't have the talents for that either" He responded with the answer that made most sense without being open about his actual job.

"Hmm you are right,I was thinking I should audition-" She was cut off by her boyfriend.

"No!! don't do that" He almost yelled,making the other three look at him weirdly.

"Why not? don't you think I'm pretty enough or Talented enough?" She had a worried look on her face. He immediately grabbed her hands.

"No that's not why. Just if you audition we would not see each other often and then you will break up with me because you would find a handsome kpop idol to date!!" Jaewon answered.

"What? I would never do that. But it's true I won't be able to see you as often and I can't live with that. Fine I won't go" She answered,making Jaewon smile with happiness. "This is why I love you" 

He kissed her on the cheek and both of them suddenly had such a flustered look on their face,avoiding eye contact now. Taehyung and Jeongguk were just sitting there and judging these two 13 year olds' relationship.

"Wow...Young love. I can see how you two are brothers" the older boy said to Jeongguk, who raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"Is that a compliment?"

"That's for me to know and you to figure it out yourself" He winked at the younger boy who wanted to kiss the older man so bad now but he can't because his brother is right there and he doesn't want to make it weird.

"Anyway...Where is mom,Jaewon?" 

"I am right here,Honey" His mom who just entered the room said. She was wearing a beautiful dress that made her look rich and elegant. 

She looked at the two couples with a huge smile on her face. "Such a lovely day. My two boys with their loved ones,this is everything I wanted for my babies"

"Mom~" they both whined together,shocking themselves with how in sync they were.

"What? I am just happy for my boys. Seri is so beautiful and kind and then there is Taehyung who is just very handsome...though I do need to know more about you,young man. So I know my oldest is dating someone who actually cares about him" His mother said to him. Concerned for her son.

Taehyung lowkey felt bad because he actually wasn't dating Jeongguk. He wonders if The younger boy is hurt by the fact they are pretending to be dating. They are like a newlywed couple anyway it's just none of them popped the question so it shouldn't be that much of a problem. 

He just needs time to put that term weight on himself,after everything that has happened to him,it just makes sense. Though Jeongguk has waited long enough he doesn't know if he's being fair to him.

"Ofcourse,Ask me anything. I like your son a lot and I will prove that" He answered confidently. She liked that. 

"Sorry to interrupt but I will have to leave. Sorry Wonnie and all of you. My mother just called me home,it's an emergency" Seri stood up from her seat as she started to put some of her stuff In her bag.

"Is everything okay?" Their mother asked her.

"Yes,Yes nothing alarmingly bad. I just need to be home right now,So I am sorry I couldn't join you for dinner" 

"Should I drop you off?" Jeongguk suggested it since she was in a hurry.

"No,it's okay I'll just walk home" With that,her boyfriend even got up as he escorted her out the house and most probably walked her home.

"Wait,walk?" Jeongguk asked his mother.

"Yeah,she lives like two houses away from us. Why do you think I approved of her? Her mother and I met in the town's gym and I just invited them over one day,that's how these two brats met and bonded" His mother explained it to him.

"it all makes sense why you let him date her and why she's over our house all the time. Why didn't you tell me this before? Here I was thinking I was a bad 13 year old. That's  why I had so many restrictions" He pouted,Taehyung laughed at the younger's  behaviour.

"You are dumb,Gukkie" Taehyung commented. Jeongguk rolled his eyes with a smile on his face.

"Whatever,Can we eat? I am hungry"

"Yes,Yes I cooked all of your favourite dishes with the help of chef" His mother stood up from her seat and walked into the dining room with the two boys following her.

"You hired a chef?"

"Mhm,I am sometimes too busy at work and Jaewon is home alone so I hired one so he won't order too much take out"

 She sat down on the head chair at the dining table. Taehyung made sure to sit next to Jeongguk so they won't be separated. 

"I understand but mom,don't you think you should rest ? I don't know, you have been working for so long. It's time you just take it easy a bit and don't stay out working too late" He was concerned for his mother and her health honestly.

"It's not in my control,Jeongguk. There's a lot of work that piles up when I take a day off. I don't trust anyone else to share my work with so it's all on me,unless…" She didn't finish her sentence because both of them knew what she was going to say.

"No,Mom. We have talked about this"

"Are you not concerned about me? what happened to that now?"

"I am,Mom but-"

"-Sorry to interrupt,Jeongguk but what are we talking about?" Taehyung, who cut off Jeongguk mid-sentence, spoke up.

The younger sighed and opened up his mouth to tell him."Mom wants me to take over her company,Taking her position of Chief executive officer,CEO in short. 

"And you don't want to?" Taehyung asked him,Jeongguk shook his head. "Then why are you forcing him to take over?" He asked his mother directly. She was taken back by his straightforwardness.

"It just makes sense,He's my eldest and I am getting older. I can't just be the CEO forever as my son it is his responsibility to take over" His mother answered.

"I understand but it's not his responsibility to take over if he doesn't want to. You should respect his wishes,If he doesn't want to do it then why force him? You also got another son you know" Taehyung argued with her. He knows he shouldn't if he wants to be on her good side but he needs to stand up for Jeongguk. That's more important than anything else.

"But he's too young,He's only 13. By the time he gets old enough to take over I will be dead!!" She said loudly. Making Jeongguk's head snap towards her 

"Mom! Don't say stuff like that"

"But it's true. I am already in my late forties. Just give me another decade before my body starts giving up"

"Why are you not understanding what Jeongguk wants? don't you care about that? didn't you just say you want him to be happy? do you think he would be happy living a life where he doesn't like what he is doing?" Taehyung was making several points that she refused to acknowledge.

"Taehyung,with respect because you are a guest at our house and you are dating my son, don't interfere in matters that don't relate to you. This is our family matter" Warning him so he won't indulge too much.

He scoffed at the woman. It's  a family matter now,right. "I am the boyfriend of the person whose life you're deciding so I think I have some right to speak too"

"He's right mom. You can't just say that when you know he's making good points about what I want. Either way I'm already happy with what I'm doing" 

"Jeongguk,singing in a bar won't pay your bills. Life is harsh,you need a better job so you can live in luxury. You would end up nowhere if you stay singing" His mother said to him.

 Jeongguk felt a tightening feeling in his chest. He didn't like how his mother belittled something he's so passionate about. It made him so upset.

"But I feel happy when I sing,ma. I prefer my happiness over money,w-why don't you get that? why don't you want me to live a happy life? why do we always h-have to argue about this? " His sentence broke,making him stutter. Taehyung immediately held his hands and rubbed his palms when he felt Jeongguk getting upset.

Even his mother took pity on her son and stopped with her stubbornness. "I am sorry,honey. Fine I will stop,I really don't want us to fight again and again on this topic as it's just ruining our relationship. Beside you and Jaewon there's no one I have. So I care about you guys a bit too much and want you to have the best. if that's what you want then fine I will let it go but if you ever change your mind,this position will always be yours" His mother told him.

She got up from the chair and walked over to her,grabbing him by his head and pulling him towards herself. She kissed her son's head. Feeling sad she made her child so upset.  "I am sorry for ruining the mood for tonight. Fighting with you wasn't really one of my plans. I am sorry to you too,Taehyung. I invited you and just argued with a guest"

"It's alright,I understand both of your frustrations. Also no need to treat me like a guest,I'm your eldest boyfriend aren't I part of the family too now?" He asked her, smiling. trying not to be salty because the conversation made him a bit mad. He needs to suck it up so he won't be mad at her.

Before she can answer,Jaewon enters the dining room, coming back from walking his girlfriend home. He immediately sensed the strange atmosphere that was in this room. Eyeing everyone,especially his mother who was comforting his older brother.

"Did something happen? did you guys fight again?" He asked them all. Taehyung couldn't help but melt a bit for the little boy. making him think how many times his brother and mother fought that he's asking this. 

"Ofcourse not. I just wanted to get closer to my son. Why did it take you so long,we were waiting for you to get back so we can start eating"

"Nothing, she just felt really bad for suddenly leaving so I was just telling her it's alright and stuff. let's start eating now,I'm starving" He took a seat right in front of Jeongguk as his mother went back to her seat too.

Soon the chef came out with all the dishes and started to arrange them on the dining table. There were multiple different types of dishes,each looked more delicious than the other. Just seeing it all makes them want to devour it all quickly.

They all quickly started to put it all on their plates,the food was just too irresistible. Taehyung took a huge bite of the rice and moaned because of how good it tasted. Did they hire some 5 star chef because this is actually amazing.

"Did you make all this?" Taehyung asked his mother.

"No No,Just some of these dishes. Most of them are all from the chef" 

"Does the chef accept tips because this is crazy good" Taehyung asked,half serious, half joking. Making the other three laugh at his silliness.

"This is actually better than your cooking,mom. I am glad you hired him. '' Jeongguk jokes,making his mom hit him on the arm. 

"You really switch up quick,you brat"

"Just kidding,Mom. Even a 5 star Michelin chef can't top your cooking. Yours is best" He complimented his mother,making her smile as she took another bite of her food.

"So Taehyung,what is your job?" His mother asked.

Taehyung immediately choked on his food,coughing uncontrollably. Jeongguk immediately poured some water into his glass and offered it to Taehyung. Who drank it.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah,Sorry just choked because this kimchi fried rice was a bit too spicy. It hit my throat." He answered,half lying when it was just the question that caught him off guard. "My job,right….Um I am also a businessman. Have you heard of the Jung Group? yes I am the leader- CEO I mean there"

He saw how his mother's eyes were just wide open. She looked genuinely shocked as if Taehyung just told her Something so unbelievable. 

"What? Are you sure you are not joking with me? The Jung group???" She asked him once again,and couldn't believe what her ears heard.

"Yes,Mom. that's what he said. Why is it so shocking??" Jaewon interrupted and didn't understand his mom's behaviour.

"Do you know how big and powerful that group is? They have multiple branches all over Korea. Late CEO was in the five most richest men of Korea list and was on Forbes list of richest people in the world. They have worked with almost every successful company. Working there is a privilege and you are telling me you are the CEO!? Jeongguk why didn't you tell me this before?" She asked his son who shrugged.

"Mom, I myself didn't know they were this influential until now. I just knew it was a big company but not this big" Jeongguk told her. Taehyung just didn't  know what to say. If she only knew the real reason why they got multiple branches everywhere.

"Aren't you a Kim though?" she asked him.

"Ah yes,I actually worked there as um..CFO before. You probably didn't hear much about me as I didn't like to indulge myself in activities outside work but then my boss died, he and his son both decided before he died that I should be taking the CEO position once he's gone so here I am. I got lucky I guess" Taehyung tried to hide his real position and job. This was the half truth and she doesn't need to know anything else.

"You must be really hard working if he chose you over his own son" She was eyeing Jeongguk who avoided eye contact.

"Yeah but I have been working with him for like a decade now so it just makes sense why I was his first choice " Taehyung mentioned to his mom.

"A decade?? Wait, how old are you?" She asked him and Taehyung cursed under his breath. Sighing,he has to tell her.

"I'm 26 years old" 

"Wait, does that means you have been working under that company since you were 16? Are under 18 even allowed?" His mother asked more questions.

 He wanted to say he was younger than 16 when he started working but she doesn't need to know that. "Yeah,He just took pity on me since my financial situation was not good"

"What about your parents?" She asked him, 

Taehyung's mouth was shut. Fiddling with his fingers,Feeling a suffocated feeling in his chest from just the mention of his parents. Jeongguk immediately noticed his partner's hesitation and decided to cover for him.

"Mom,he's not comfortable with answering that question. He's a CEO and he's making enough to feed his next 3 generations so I don't think more questions are required" Jeongguk answered,pouring some water for Taehyung and helping him drink it. 

The older man gave him a comforting smile which warmed Jeongguk's heart. Thankfully, His mother dropped the topic and started to talk about something else. The rest of the dinner went smoothly with no uncomfortable debates or weird stares. Taehyung actually felt kind of nice. He doesn't know when was the last time he ate with his own family.

So being a part of this,with Jeongguk's family. He feels blessed. They don't treat him like an outsider or some intimidating guy like the rest of the world. He's accepted here and that's all that matters to him.

"Jeongguk,Why don't you show Taehyung your room? I am sure he must be waiting to see the room you grew up in" His mother suggested. Taehyung didn't even think of that but now he really wants to go and see.

He just chuckled and stood up. Taking Taehyung's hand and Dragging him towards the other side of the hallway. In the end of the hallway was Jeongguk's room door. The younger boy opened it and entered inside.

The room wasn't anything special,just looked like a regular teenage room instead it was very clean. The walls were painted Grey and black. The bedsheets were black, there were multiple bands and singers posters hanging on the wall. Some of Jeongguk's pictures are framed and a whole cupboard filled with medals and Trophies. There was a TV right with some kind of game Cds beneath it.

A huge Bean Bag on which Jeongguk immediately jumped on. "Oh I missed this,I am definitely taking this to my place" Jeongguk groaned,his body melting on the bean bag.

Taehyung chuckled and decided to look around more. He saw the pictures on his trophy cupboard and there were some pictures of him with an older man standing beside him in maybe a football uniform, holding a gold medal in his hands. He didn't look more than 12.

"Is this your…" He trailed,not sure if he should say it.

"My dad? nah that old man left earlier than that. That's my coach actually,a very nice man. He was one of the reasons I loved playing football"

"Yeah I can see" Taehyung said,staring at shit ton of trophies in here. "You really were very active ha? like look at all these rewards. Insane,I didn't know you were that good of a football player" Taehyung mentioned. 

He got up from the bean bag and stood next to Taehyung,his hand on his waist. "There are a lot of things you don't know about me,sweetheart" He said to Taehyung,making chuckle and look away.

Eyes falling on his graduation photo. He was wearing the classic black gown and hat. His Degree in his hands. There was also a girl next to him,her head on Jeongguk's shoulder and a wide smile on her face. She was really pretty.

"And who is this? your highschool girlfriend?" 

"Mhm,She was a cheerleader-"

"Ofcourse she was" He cut him off,rolling his eyes. Jeongguk laughed,hitting his arm playfully. 

"Shut Up,Yeah we were the typical highschool sweethearts, a jock and a cheerleader. We broke up once we went to college,it wasn't working out as we both didn't liked each other anymore. She was so sweet though, Cared about me so much." 

"Did she now?"

"Are you jealous,baby?" He raised his eyebrow,teasing Taehyung. 

"Why would I be jealous of your ex,she's your past. I am your present. Why do you still have a picture of her though? that's a bit weird" He commented on the framed picture.

"Well this is the only picture of me at my graduation so My mother insisted I get it framed. I should crop her out and put your picture in with me" Jeongguk suggested,Taehyung looked at him with a strange gaze.

"That's more weird. I don't need a picture framed with you in your teenager room. Maybe one in your apartment sounds nice" Taehyung suggested,a grin on his face. 

"I like that too,let's do that" Jeongguk pecked his lips. Startling Taehyung for a second.  He walked away and sat on his bed,leaving Taehyung to just stare at his picture.

Taehyung can't help but feel a bit sad when he looks at these pictures. Jeongguk has lived such a nice life,Ofcourse there were ups and downs in his life but at least he has a proper home,A family that loves him to death,Food was always on table. Going to highschool,college and now even university. 

Had fair share of people he dated and was able to experience all these silly little things like a football match,prom and even graduation. Meanwhile, Taehyung...he had nothing. 

He was introduced to the feeling of homelessness when he wasn't even a teenager yet. Struggling to survive and fighting his life to get some type of food inside him. The age kids start middle school,he was introduced to the underworld instead. Instead of books,he was handed guns. 

He is thankful that he got homeschooled for highschool but he never got to experience the good things as it was more focused on the gang than studying. Even right now he can't live like a normal person in his 20s. His whole normal life was ripped away from him before he could even learn how to live properly.

So he can't help but envy Jeongguk. Ofcourse,the younger isn't to blame for it. It's not his fault he could live a normal life but Taehyung couldn't. It's just he feels more jealous than he admits he does. He wonders what it's like to live like that. 

"Taehyung...Taehyung!!" He was snapped out of his thoughts by Jeongguk calling out his name. 

The younger one grabbed his hands and made him sit on the bed with him. "Are you okay? you suddenly looked sad and didn't even respond when I called you" Jeongguk asked him,rubbing his back. Worried about his boyfriend sudden fall in mood.

"Oh,sorry I didn't realise you calling me. Don't worry it's dumb" Taehyung tried to brush it away but Jeongguk wasn't giving up on it.

"No,tell me what happened? it's not good to bottle things inside"

"It's dumb Jeongguk,leave it. I am just being stupid" Taehyung tried to avoid it.

"Taehyung." He said in a demanding tone.

"I was just looking at your pictures and I..I thought about how you have lived such a nice life. You got everything you wanted,I know you had some problems with dad and then some fucked up relationships but you still lived a normal life. I...I told you it's dumb I don't want to blame you for my miserable life. It's just I'm jealous of you and it made me sad that I was never able to live a life like that" Taehyung told him what he was feeling.

"Oh...it's not dumb,Taehyung. Your feelings are not dumb and they never will be. I understand your frustration,I would feel the same if I was you so don't worry I'm not offended or something that you feel like this. You are right I had some bad things happen to me too but it's nothing compared to what you went through at such an early age" 

"No,Jeongguk I am sorry. Traumas shouldn't be compared,No trauma is bigger than the other and I don't want to be the one being like oh I suffered more that's why I deserve better than you. That's just shit to even think about. I shouldn't have brought this up,it just ruined the mood" Taehyung was blabbering,he doesn't even know what he is saying.

"Hey,it's alright. I told you I understand your frustration baby. Even though what happened to you was not nice and what happened to me wasn't good either. But that was all part of life,if we think about it,if those things didn't happen to us,we would have never met each other. In your case,you would have never met all the people you love right now like Hoseok,Jimin and...me. So somehow I'm glad I went through the shit I went through 'cause of that past,I'm where I am right now and I won't exchange it with anything else" he talked some sense into Taehyung.

The older man nodded,feeling a bit better than before. he was right,he is glad too that he got to meet everyone and love them. Especially Jeongguk. He won't trade anyone or anything for Jeongguk. The younger boy is everything he has right now.

"You are right. I am so glad you exist Jeongguk,I don't know what I would have done without you" Taehyung smiled at him. Jeongguk kissed his forehead,smiling back at him.

His hands went inside his pocket and it made him touch something he completely forgot about. Chuckling at his own silliness. He took out the medium sized box. Jeongguk's eyes went down towards Taehyung's hands. furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"What...Is this?" Jeongguk asked him.

Taehyung just chuckled and opened the box. There were two diamond tennis bracelets inside. Shining so brightly,looking so pretty inside the red velvet box. 

"I got this like a week ago. I wanted to buy it for you and..well us. It's like a promise bracelet? I saw rings but I liked bracelets more as the only ring that you would get from me is our wedding ring" He joked about it,making Jeongguk laugh too. 

"I like you too much,Jeongguk. Ever since you came back into my life I have never wanted anything else.  I don't know how I was able to meet an angel like you. Someone who made my day 10 times better by just existing. I never thought this day would come again where I would call someone other than Seungho my one and only but You made me move on. I don't know how you did it but I find myself thinking about you more than I thought about Seungho. I...love you so much" Taehyung confessed,saying'' I love you for the first time.

Jeongguk was seconds away from tears, he couldn't believe this was happening. He felt like his ears were betraying him.Playing some kind of sick twisted prank on him but no it was all real. He could feel his heartbeat get faster. His nerves were all on edge.

"So Jeon Jeongguk, would you be my boyfriend?" Taehyung asked him,making Jeongguk burst into tears.

"Yes,Yes oh my god. What the fuck I didn't expected that at all. I love you so much" He threw himself into Taehyung's arms,nuzzling his face inside the older man's neck. 

Taehyung hugged him back,kissing his shoulder. Letting him stay there for a few seconds as he finally pushed away. He took out the bracelets and put it on Jeongguk's wrist. Jeongguk helped him put on his own bracelet. The bracelets complimented their skins so much. 

"This is so beautiful,thank you so much. Did you plan all this?"

"No actually,I was going to take you out today but this dinner came up so when your mother suggested that you should take me to your room ,I thought what's a better place to confess my undying love to you in a room where you spend half of your life" Taehyung explained his choices. 

Jeongguk chuckled,his gaze still set at the bracelet. His heart was pounding like crazy,still in shock that it just happened. He has been waiting for this day his whole life. He's just so happy right now there's nothing that could ruin it.

"I want to kiss you so bad" Jeongguk told him. Taehyung said nothing and just looked at with a wide smile on his face.

It made him chuckle again as he grabbed his face and tilted his head,slowly going in for a kiss. In a matter of seconds,their lips were attached,pulling the latter into a soft kiss. Their lips fit perfectly like a puzzle.

Smiling through the kiss,Pulling the younger boy closer by his waist. He could feel butterflies in his stomach. He swore he has never felt this good. So flustered by everything that was going on.

Their lips were moving in sync. He felt Jeongguk bite on his lower lip. Letting out a low moan. 

They were interrupted rudely by loud knocks on the door. Immediately pulling away as the door opened. Came inside Jeongguk's younger brother who was looking at them with a strange look.

"This is why I knocked before. You guys need to stop jumping on each other every second. What about my poor eyes?" Jaewon asked them. Jeongguk threw a pillow at his brother.

"Stop overreacting, you didn't even see anything. What do you want?"

"Mom was calling you guys done,She was getting worried you guys were taking too much time in your bedroom..I wonder why" He said,running away before his brother could say anything. They laughed at his actions.

"Guess we gotta go now"
