Going to university after almost 2 weeks off,Jeongguk felt strange. It felt so strange to be back. He should be worried because this is the last semester and by this time everyone is losing their shit because of how close final exams are. When your whole future depends on those,Even a sane person goes crazy.

So that was slowly hitting Jungkook. Academic stress was taking over him and he doesn't know how he will get 2 weeks worth of notes,Nobody is that generous. 

Rubbing his palm together,his feet tapping on the floor rapidly. A hand came down to his thigh making him stop doing that. He glanced up and Saw Eunwoo looking at him. Very concerned.

"Are you okay? you look...anxious,did something happen to Taehyung yesterday?" Eunwoo asked him. Jeongguk shook his head.

 "Luckily, I didn't cross paths with him,and found my clothes on my doorstep. Thank god no one picked it up. So yeah it's not him,It's just exams are soon and because of missing last two weeks I'm so behind,haven't studied a word,so much work is piling up and it's just stressing me the fuck out" He ranted to his friend. Who put his hands on Jeongguk's back,comforting him.

"Hey,it's going to be alright" He kissed his forehead."I will help you.You can take my notes and like to copy them.If there's anything that you don't get just ask me,I am the top student of all our classes for a reason,baby. So don't worry, okay?" Eunwoo told him.

The younger gaze softened,he helped the younger out so much already by saying all that. Knowing He got his back makes him so happy. He quickly wrapped his arms around Eunwoo,Hugging tightly." Thank you,thank you so much,oh what I would do without you,You really are an angel"

"You flatter me too much. Even though you say you will move back to your apartment officially today,you can still come over whenever you want for a study date,my doors are always open for you" He smiled at him. Jeongguk chuckled and nodded.

"I'll be over everyday then,we got a lot to cover. I hope I don't burden you"

"You would never be a burden on me" He said softly. 

 Jeongguk can't help but feel happy,it really is nice like this. His heart breaks a little that he might not be able to like him back. Their date did end on a nice note. They shared a sweet kiss which made Jeongguk come to some conclusions and had dinner together.

He realised he felt good all day because his mind wasn't looking at Eunwoo the same way the other's mind was looking at Jeongguk. For Jeongguk's mind,Eunwoo was still a friend so nothing felt out of place the whole day,nothing felt weird until the kiss happened.

He felt absolutely nothing. Even after being flattered by the older's comments and just how careful and kind he has been to Jeongguk,he still couldn't feel any type of romantic connection between them. that felt out of place so he is so puzzled right now.

Should he just give up and run back to Taehyung because they still need closure or give Him and Eunwoo more time,maybe something will click that wasn't able to click all these years? yeah he really doesn't know what to do.

"You guys look cozy,did you guys fucked?" Mingyu who barged into the classroom and took a seat between them being the third wheeler he is. 

Jeongguk shook his head.He doesn't even take it seriously because it's coming from Mingyu. "We are not fucking Mingyu,why would we fuck?"

"I don't know you guys look very comfortable and Eunwoo is glowing,so I thought maybe he finally completed his dream of have sex with-" Mingyu was immediately shut down by Eunwoo who cut  him off.

"Oh my god Mingyu,stop speaking please" Eunwoo said to him,making Him laugh and Jeongguk raised his eyebrow in curiosity.

"You had a sex dream about me?" Jeongguk asked,genuinely surprised. 

"No,who said that?" He tried to play it off because it did come off pretty weird.

"Mingyu just said it"

"Anyway let's move past that because it's getting weird and Eunwoo will literally kill me after you are gone. If it makes it better I had a dream where I had a threesome with both of you" Mingyu confessed,both of them were definitely judging him.

"You just made it more weird,what even is this conversation,where is our professor?!" 

Just as Eunwoo said that,Their professor entered the class and they were soon indulged into their class forgetting the weird conversation they had. It's better to leave it at that.

Once done with all his classes,Jeongguk is walking inside his apartment building, alongside Eunwoo. Like they usually did before everything happened. Back to his normal life does feel a bit weird. No chaos,no anxiety,a normal boy who likes,a normal life he has always lived. 

He obviously jinxed himself because before he could even get off the elevator to his floor, His phone started to ring. He took it out of his pocket and looked at the caller ID.

Jimin hyung

"Hello? Jimin hyung?"

"Oh Jeonggukie,hi,how are you?" 

"I am...fine? I think.I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly though"

"It's alright Jeongguk,I get it. If I was in your place I would have left too but that's not why I called" He sounded a bit hesitant If that makes sense.

"Is everything fine? you sound a little shaky" Jeongguk asked,a bit worried now. Eunwoo who was standing next to him the whole time looked a bit concerned too now.

"No it's not actually. Its about Taehyung, he is..not well,very sick and he isn't even taking medicines,just asking for you" 

"Oh..is it too serious? why is he so stubborn in everything,should I...come over?" Jeongguk asked,and he saw Eunwoo looking at him with a confused gaze.

"Yes,if you can please do but it's alright If you can't,i know you guys are fighting but-" 

"No No,I will come over, don't worry. I'll be there in 30" Jeongguk hung up the call. 

His gaze shifted at Eunwoo who wasn't looking very satisfied. He gave him a soft look. Knowing his response,he doesn't even blame him.

"Are you seriously going back there?"

"I have to"

"You are not his babysitter Jeongguk. You don't have to take care of a grown ass man" He complained to him. 

"I know but I don't want him to die on me before I get closure and I might even talk to him for once and all"  He assured him it will be fine. 

Eunwoo gave him a quick hug. He can't stop him,Jeongguk is too out of his control and there's nothing he can do but to let him go. He's worried ofcourse,so much can happen with those two in the same room but what can he even do about it? absolutely nothing. He just has to deal with it.

"Drive safe,text me when you get there"

"Ok,See you later Eunwoo-ah" with that he went back inside the elevator,going to the down floor.

After driving to Taehyung's place,I reached it after multiple minutes because of how much traffic there was. He was standing in front of his penthouse door. Knocking it multiple times,his impatient self wasn't having it so he tried to just try to open the handle...which shockingly worked. 

Raising his eyebrow in confusion. Questioning himself about why their door is unlocked. They should be more careful since the job they have isn't working in their favor with this carelessness. Getting inside,closing the door from behind correctly.  

Walking inside this place brought him so many memories he feels like he hasn't been here for years. The multiple memories he made there,the familiar vanilla scent that is around this place. The nostalgia he's feeling is just amazing and it has been barely 2 weeks since he left. He only came back here after his stay at their base and then left a day after the fight. 

"Taehyung? Jimin? Where are you guys?" He asked out loud because he is seeing no one so far and it's too quiet for his liking.

When no response came back he just started to head towards Taehyung's room. When he was going to open the door his phone suddenly vibrated. He took the phone out of his pocket and saw a text message from Jimin. Opening it up and it just made him more confused.

Sorry. Sorry???? What does he mean by that? Why is apologizing? What is he apologizing for? So many questions running through his mind yet no one to answer. He let out a sigh and put his phone back inside. Getting ready to enter the older's room.

He opened up the door and his eyes immediately fell on the man sitting on the edge of his bed. Taehyung,it was indeed him but he was taken a bit by surprise because of his appearance.

He was dressed like he usually dresses,in business formal clothes like he just came back from work or something hair still styled,though he had some eye bags and his skin was a bit pale. Instead of being sick he just looked depressed.

"Taehyung?"

The older one turned his face around and his eyes widened when he saw the younger one. quickly getting up from the bed and running towards the raven head. Putting his arms around him and his body was so close to Jeongguk's. They were pressed together and Jeongguk was just a bit taken back by sudden affection.

"Jeongguk!! you are home" He said softly.

"Yeah,you also look...fine, did your sickness get cured?"  Jeongguk genuinely asked him. The other just looked at him dumbstruck.

"Yeah...um so about that we kinda lied to you,I am not sick...I just wanted an excuse to see you" Taehyung replies truthfully, Jeongguk scoffed at him.

"....are you serious right now?" He nodded in response. Jeongguk pushed Taehyung away and started to walk out of the room. ,"I can't believe this"

Taehyung wasn't going to just let him go so he grabbed his wrist tightly not letting it go,pulling him back towards. "Wait don't leave please Jeongguk let's talk"

"I don't want to talk with you Taehyung let me go" 

"Jeonggukie...please I'm sorry about everything please don't do this"

"No Taehyung,If you wanted to talk to me just should have said that,Do you know how worried I was when Jimin told me you were so sick??? you know how much I worry about you yet you just- just leave it'' He took his hand out of Taehyung's grip. Not trying to run away anymore. Standing there with his hands covering his face.

"I am sorry,I didn't know this would make you this upset. I had to do it because I know you wouldn't want to talk to me the other way"

"You are right and there's a reason for that,Hyung. You should respect that"

"I know but I can't wait anymore Jeongguk. i have been an absolute asshole to you,scold me,hit me do whatever you want to me but don't be upset with me...These almost 2 weeks without seeing you was fucking hell. I missed you so much everyday,I couldn't sleep at night without you,I missed seeing your face every morning"  Taehyung told him.

"You brought that to yourself Taehyung. You wanted me out of your life" He stated the truth.

"I know,I reached the lowest point of my life almost again, Jeongguk. You had a bigger impact on me than I thought you did. Seeing you on a date with that friend of yours was just cherry on top. I thought I lost you for once and all,I didn't know how much I liked you before this all. I wanted to grab you right there and grab you as far as I could from that guy but at that moment I just thought maybe it's for the better that I give you up...I just didn't know it would be this hard" The older explained his struggle.

"You can't do this Taehyung. I remember you clearly saying how you want me out of your life,you can't say all that and then just say how you want me back. Make up your fucking mind Taehyung" He yelled at him. He has some pride and he isn't going to give in too easily.

"I am shit for giving you mixed signals,I am barely fucking hanging on right now Guk. It's fine if you don't want to forgive me or ever see me again but please I still want to apologize,come here" He grabbed his wrists and pulled him towards himself. 

Jeongguk looked down,not making any eye contact with him because he knows how strong the older gaze is. Too strong he will feel like he's falling in love all over again. Taehyung wrapped his arms around his waist and just looked at him.

"I am sorry for all the shit I said back then. It wasn't your fault about everything that happened. It was mine,you went through all of that because of me. If anyone should be walking out it should be because all I do is bring danger to you. I lost a lot of my close friends that day,Yoongi still isn't waking up and as a leader I was just in a messed up state of mind so when I saw you I lashed out all my anger on you. I swear I regretted it all the second you walked out of this door" Taehyung apologized to him once again.

Resting his head on younger's shoulder,now hugging him properly,feeling a bit sad Jeongguk wasn't hugging him back but he will take whatever he can right now.

"I never meant to hurt you like that. Whatever happened to you was so traumatic itself and I was a jerk for n-not acknowledging that. I pushed you away when you needed me the most,So please forgive me let me make it u-up to you.."his voice broke out in the middle of the sentence.

He was crying. Jeongguk was stunned when he heard him cry. This is his weakness,he can't ignore him when he is crying in his arms. Jeongguk immediately hugged him back. Rubbing his back in circles,pulling him closer. inhaling his sweet scent. He always smells so good.

"Don't cry,You know I hate it when you cry. It's alright,hyung. I am mad but I won't ever get out of your life this easily. Let's just sit down and then have a talk" Jeongguk pulled away,wiping Taehyung's tears as the older man was too ashamed to make eye contact. He doesn't cry a lot so he felt like a baby crying over this.

Both of them sat down on the couch In the living room,right beside each other. Jeongguk was facing Taehyung who was wiping his own tears.

"What you said to me back then really hurt me,hyung. I was not in a good mental state either but did you see me blaming you for anything? no because it was out of your control,If anything you saved me from that monster who was really going to kill me. You risked your life and saved me,how could I blame you when you are so good to me so when you put all the blame on me I just felt.. betrayed" He expressed his feelings about the situation they had.

"Like I was the victim,I had to go through being kidnapped,beaten up and hearing their disgusting comments and seeing people die in front of my eyes. I went through something so traumatic and you never came to visit me in your base when I was in the medical area. When we went to visit Yoongi,I didn't complain because I knew you were grieving but then the first time we talk after weeks you tell me it's all my fault? Did you even know how much of a big claim is that? so many of yours and that monster's people died and you just...blamed it all on me? a normal college student who is unfortunately in love with you" Jeongguk said he loves him. 

Taehyung isn't even going to pretend to be shocked because he knows how much the boy loves him. Action speaks louder than words. The fact the younger boy is sitting here and talking to him instead of just shouting and yelling at him  speaks for itself.

"I can't use this as an excuse again and again but I really wasn't in the right state of mind Jeongguk-ah. I take everything back,I never wanted to hurt you. I just wanted you to distance yourself from me because I can't promise you your safety as long as you are with me so I pushed you away-" He was cut off by Jeongguk who couldn't just hold it back.

"But that is not something you should decide for me,Hyung. I am not a kid. I know what your job is and I just had a first hand experience with the dangers of it. I know how it can be if I stay close to you yet I didn't leave because I like you too much to leave you,even after everything I went back to your apartment. I could have run away once I got discharged but I didn't,you don't have to make decisions for me I can make them myself and that's why I choose you" He stated to him.

The older boy is speechless. He doesn't know what to say anymore. He has apologised to Jeongguk but it looks like the younger one doesn't have any plans to forgive him. He knows what he did and he knows why it's wrong. He went through alot of shit last few weeks and Jeongguk leaving was still the worst one. 

He is so absorbed in him,a life without Jeongguk seems lifeless and empty. Younger came in his life and it hasn't been the same since. The empty void he used to have was filled with him and he was indeed making Taehyung become a better person than before. So his presence leaving Taehyung's life was the worst because he doesn't want to go back to the old depressed him who is just his days to death.

"Why are you not saying anything?" Jeongguk asked,a bit fed because of how silent it was.

"I don't know what to say. I have apologized and I do regret everything I said to you and ofcourse I can't expect you to forgive me so easily so I don't know where this leads us to" 

"Do you really regret everything?"  

"Yes,every single word. I actually didn't even have plans to talk to you again because I felt like utter shit and thought I didn't deserve to face you ever again after everything. If It wasn't for Jimin putting sense in me and planning all this I would have just drank my way to the end of this year" 

"Well I'm glad Jimin made you do that because even though I don't know if I can forgive you this easily I am still glad we talked and have no bad feelings for each other. I don't want to give us up so I won't try to play too hard. Let's just work our way to what we used to be before, ok?" Jeongguk suggested and Taehyung nodded. It seems like the best idea.

"I accept your apology,we both went through alot so let's not make eachother more miserable by our impulsive decisions ok? So um friends?" Jeongguk pulled his hand out for a handshake. 

Instead of a handshake,Taehyung suddenly engulfed him in his arms pulling him into another hug. "Friends" Taehyung said to him softly. Jeongguk smiled at him and hugged him back. This feels nice. It's so nice.

He's glad they could settle their differences. Now he is next to Taehyung again and that's all that really matters to him.

Is it bad I'm like halfway done but I still have no idea how I'm going to end this? like I have this one direction I wanna take it to but it will extend the story to like 50 chapters atleast and I don't want to drag it that much. So yeah I hope I can think of something.
