Even though he wasn't expecting it,he had a bad feeling throughout the whole day. He thought it was just one of those days but he was so wrong. It was not just,oh u woke up on the wrong side of bed today it was more than that.

They had a very important mission today. It was rather a simple mission. They just had to raid Sangwoo's base. Yes, the same Sangwoo as the event one.  Their rivalry goes way back, so it was no shock that both of the gangs were against each other all the time. Just picking fights and raiding each other's bases,killing other men. Anything to eliminate or weaken each other.

"Taehyung and Seungho,Both of you are going to go. Mission is nothing too complicated. We found out Sangwoo had another base other than his Busan base. It's in Seoul,on the cliff,in between the forest he got a whole secret base where he keeps the trash and trades it with others. All you have to do is,burn his stash and get out of there. Try not to get seen so you won't get into unnecessary fights. He has a lot of men there so I don't want you both to be overpowered." Their boss told them more details about the mission.

Both of the men stood in front of him,hand behind their backs. Not making eye contact as that's a sign of disrespect. "Yes Sir!" they both yelled in unison.

"But sir,you don't need to worry. We are both strong. We can make it out alive even if we get into fights." Taehyung answered confidently. Their boss chuckled.

"Ofcourse that's why I am sending you both. Though stay in touch with my son or Jimin or anyone in the gang if anything goes wrong,understand?" 

"Yes Sir!!" 

"Good,you guys can leave now. Best of luck" 

The start of the mission was going quite well. Everything was just how it was supposed to be. They were near the base. Since it was in the middle of a forest on a cliff,they hide behind the trees so they won't get seen by the guards standing outside. Thanks to the gloomy weather,It wasn't bright so it was kind of hard to see them anyway. 

Taehyung looked at Seungho who was staring intensely at the base. He put his hands on the other's shoulder and told him to loosen up. "Let's distract them and then when I say run,run straight to the backside" Taehyung told him and Seungho nodded. 

He looked down on the ground and saw a bunch of rocks in different sizes. It was awfully quiet so a little rustle will alert the guards.  He took out a bunch of match sticks he had in his bag for this reason. He threw the rocks very far away from them and used one of the rocks to light up the bunch of matchsticks he had. 

Throwing the matchsticks in the same direction. Creating a little fire so they are distracted. They were the second they heard rocks fall and then the fire. Stupidly,there were only 2 guards in the front and both of them just ran towards the small fire Taehyung created feets away from them. 

"Run!" Taehyung whispered. Seungho immediately got up and ran towards the back of the base with Taehyung following him. They tried to not make too much noise because it would be easy to identify their location.

Seungho noticed the back door and immediately got inside,His gun in his hand,loaded fully. Ready to shoot whoever comes their way.

Thankfully the hallway was clear. They both let out a sigh of relief because they really don't want to kill anyone today as that's not the requirement of the mission. "Where to next?" Seungho asked.

"The basement. Boss told me,it would be on our right the second we enter from the back. So I guess we have to make a turn at the end of this hallway" Taehyung pointed to the end where it was divided to two sides.

They started to walk in the hallway. Trying to keep their footsteps to lowest volume because there are many doors in this hallway and literally anyone can come out and catch them. 

When they almost reached the end. Seungho, who was ahead of Taehyung,grabbed Taehyung by his waist and dragged him to the room nearest to them. Taehyung was taken back. It was really dark in this room.

"What?!" He whispered-yelled at Seungho who put his hands on his lips. 

"Stay quiet!!" Seungho said to him. Seungho was leaning against the door,with Taehyung Leaning on him.

That's when Taehyung also heard it. Sound of a bunch of footsteps,running outside the door in the hallway.  And then the muffled voices of people.

"Sir!! I think someone trespassed into the base"

"What the fuck were you two then???"

"There was a fire so we tried to put it out and when we came back we saw the backdoor open." 

A loud slam voice. It seemed the boss hit one of the guards. Taehyung chuckled accidently. Seungho glared at the boy. 

"Fucking idiots,You had one fucking job and you can't even do that!?!? Search the whole area and find those trespassers, I want them Alive " The boss said. They heard the footsteps get a bit distant and almost disappear. 

They both finally could breathe properly when they heard them go away. Taehyung turned on the lights and realised they were in some kind of storage.

"How did you knew?"

"Saw their shadows and immediately dragged you here. Thankfully I think Sangwoo came at the exact time so they didn't hear our door close." Seungho explained how he saved them. Taehyung smiled at him.

"That's so smart of you" Taehyung pecked his lips,making Seungho smile. 

"Ofcourse,let's head out before anyone comes back to check here" 

They both immediately made their way out. The whole base was already in chaos so they just decided to run. They soon found the door that led to the basement. The basement was just filled with a bunch of drugs at every corner. their stash was so huge. 

Seungho wasn't playing around as he took the oil out of his bag and poured it all over the room,Taehyung did the same following his lead. They were already caught so they needed to hurry up before anyone came down here. 

Ofcourse nothing can go your way. Both of them stopped in their tracks when they heard the door of the basement open. They both hide at both sides of the wall. Taehyung signalled Seungho that he would deal with the man.He should carry on. Seungho, who has spent alot of time with Taehyung, immediately knew what he meant. So he just went to continue pouring oil.

"Hey!! what are you-ARGH!" The man who was walking down sad but before he could even finish his sentence,Taehyung kicked him in his stomach,Making him fall down the remaining stairs which was unfortunately not alot.

He was on the ground,groaning in pain. Taehyung took out his gun and pointed at his head. "Make any more noise and I won't hesitate to shoot you" 

But the man wasn't giving up. He got up and decided to hit Taehyung. Before he could even hit him,Taehyung grabbed his hand and twisted it. Throwing him away from him. Shooting him in the leg so he won't stand up. 

"I am done,Lets go"

"What about him?" Taehyung asked,pointing at the man who was still on the floor. 

"If he cares for his life he can crawl out of here. None of our business,Let's go a bit up and then you can throw the lighter"  Seungho said, Taehyung nodded. 

He saw the horrifying look on the man's face who was pleading to not let him burn Alive here. But as Seungho said,none of their business. They went up the strain and then Taehyung threw the lighter down. Slowly the whole basement was consumed in fire and they just made their way up. 

They luckily got out of the place without any injuries as they could hear the fire alarms going off and just men screaming. 

"There they are!!! I found them!!" Both of them heard some guards say. 

They ran into the forest. The weather was just getting worse,as it was raining heavily. The whole forest was muddy so they had to be careful to not slip. After running for awhile with the guards following them they finally reached their car.

Immediately getting inside and starting the car,Taehyung felt like something was wrong with the car. he had no time to investigate. The second Seungho got in,he started the car and went as fast as he could. 

In this heavy rain,the road wasn't as clear and they had to be careful because the road is slippery and they are On a cliff with no fences on the side of the road. 

"Taehyung fucking slow down,Its dangerous to go too fast" Seungho grabbed his arm and the other man just shake his head.

"They are behind us,I can't go slower If I don't want us to die" Taehyung was completely focused on the road and just speeding up. The car was weird,It was hard to control it for some reason and Taehyung couldn't point out what it was.

They felt a loud sound on the exterior of their car,They were shooting them. Seungho cursed under his breath. He took out his gun and opened up the window. "Seungho what are you doing ????" 

"I have to deal with them,You just focus on driving I'll do what I have to do" Seungho got out of the window and targeted the cars following them.

He shot twice on their front screen and then multiple times on the tires so it could puncture them. Some of the bullets landed successfully as he could see the car swaying in the wrong direction. The man from those cars also got outside their windows and tried shooting Seungho.

While he managed to avoid most of them,the one which he didn't see coming went right through his shoulder. Letting out a scream because of how painful it was. He sat back down inside and Taehyung looked at him horrified.

"I fucking told you to not to do that,fuck fuck. Put pressure on it so the blood isn't lost too much. Seungho,Why would you do that.." Taehyung was a second away from crying because his lover is in pain.He got shot and he can't even tend his wounds because he is too busy getting out of this place.

Seungho let out a dark chuckle. "Wouldn't it be funny if I just die here? won't be too bad because I am next to the person I love the most." 

"I love you so much please Don't joke around like that,is this funny to you? I won't leave these motherfuckers once we get out of this hellhol- FUCK" Taehyung immediately cursed when he suddenly lost control of the wheel while they were turning around on the cliff.

The car screeched as it was sliding off the road. He tried to grab the wheel and handle it but the car weight was too much for only Taehyung to handle. The car was going off the trails and now down the cliff.

In the next few moments all Taehyung heard was just screams and loud noises of their car just rolling down the hill. His eyes were shut because of how scared he was. When he opened them he saw how Seungho was covering him,His hands all around Taehyung's body,pulling him closer to himself as they were still rolling down the cliff. 

Their bodies were just out of the seats now, crashing on the car .Everything was falling apart and they couldn't do anything to stop it. 

It stopped. It finally stopped. Taehyung could barely open his eyes because of how much it hurt. He saw how Seungho was still on top of him. "S-Seungho...Seungho? Hey..are y-you okay?" Taehyung asked as the boy lay lifeless on top of him.

Taehyung felt his life flash before his eyes when he examined everything around him. The windows were all broken,which explains the blood coming out of Taehyung's cheek,it cut him and his head which banged so hard towards the roof that it was now bleeding. He was still conscious so that was good he wasn't injured much.

But Seungho got worse the more he realised what happened. The whole main front interior of the car was broken and fell on top Seungho's leg crushing it.  There was a big piece of glass stabbed into his back from where the blood was flowing continuously. His head was bleeding,and so was the shoulder where he was shot previously.  Worst of all,Seungho was not even conscious at the moment.

"Seungho? baby? hey wake up?!?" Taehyung felt the tears just flowing out of his eyes.

He picked up the lifeless body on top of him and laid it down on the seat. He saw just how bloody his face was. His eyes closed and eyebrows furrowed like he was in too much pain. Taehyung saw his life flash before his eyes. 

He got on top and tapped his cheeks. "Why are you not saying anything? please wake up,Please don't leave me alone here baby..you promised.." Taehyung cried as he was hyperventilating. He checked Seungho's breath and nothing. it was all silent. He died on impact.

His body was shaking terribly and the tears just won't stop flowing. He couldn't even call anyone for help because both of their phones were crushed and broken. 

He couldn't help but blame himself. It was all his fault. The second they saw the weather was terrible Seungho told him to drive slow,Taehyung still didn't. Taehyung didn't even say anything when he felt like something was wrong with the car which made him lose control. Taehyung didn't even help him when his lover got shot. 

And in the end,even when they were falling down Seungho covered Taehyung with his body because it didn't matter to him if he survived or not,Taehyung's survival was his first priority even in his last moments.

"It's m-my fault,I should have gone s-slower when you told me too,I should have helped you,I should have been the one to c-cover you...I'm sorry I'm so sorry,I love you so much I'm Sorry" he loudly cried,With his dead lover in his arms.

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye he was gone before Taehyung knew it and only the gods knew why. 

Seungho's Death is not the greatest loss in life,the greatest loss was what dies inside him that day. His true self that he can never face again. 

flashback over 

"..later on,After around 2 hours,Our gang found us. When they realised it has been too long and we still haven't come back so they went to check up on us. The mission was a success but for what?. Seungho was already dead the second the car stopped and I cried so much that by the time they found us,I passed away from the shock and exhaustion because of crying for hours straight. I honestly thought I would die there too because there's no way anyone would find us but they did. At the moment,me dying felt more peaceful than anything I went through after that...I just-" Taehyung stopped as he covered his face.

Crying again. Jeongguk's eyes softened as he looked at the boy. "Come here" He said,pulling Taehyung closer to his body. 

He understood it much better why Taehyung was so attached to his ex. It all made so much sense why he was so in love with this man. Even though he could feel himself getting emotional,it was a great loss indeed.

Taehyung wiped his tears quickly trying to calm down. "I am sorry I dumped all my trauma on you like it's nothing"

"No,it's okay. I am glad you told me. It makes me understand your situation a lot better. I am proud of you Taehyung,I am so proud of how far you've come."

"I am the same as I was before I didn't move-"

"No Taehyung,The fact you dealt with such a big loss of your first love this bravely and are still doing so it's something you should be appreciated for. But Taehyung, I promise you if making you move on is the last thing I'm going to do then so be it" Jeongguk said to him confidently.

"you can't be Seungho,Jeongguk"

"I don't want to be him. I would show you the real me,make you love the real me. I am not planning to be a replacement but someone new who can sweep you off your feet and make you feel love again. Love is the most beautiful curse and it's my goal to make you feel it" He took his hands in his and intertwined them. Smiling at the other softly. Taehyung chuckled.

"Sure,You can try but I can't guarantee you anything I am sorry"

"Don't apologise. I understand,I know what I am getting into. The only thing I want you to do is just be open minded. stop hesitating and resisting me,that's All I'm asking for" Jeongguk made eye contact with him because he was serious and so was his intentions.

Taehyung smiled and nodded. It's the least he could do when Jeongguk wants to make so much effort into making him better and move on.

"Ok it's a date then. Shall I pick you up tomorrow around afternoon if you are free?" Jeongguk told him,The other was taken back. Already?

"Wait wait tomorrow isn't that too soon?"

"It's never too soon to do something right. So what do you say?"

"...fine. I am free. We live in the same place. How will you pick me up?"

"Doesn't matter, I will stay out or something. Dress casual" Jeongguk said to him and Taehyung nodded.

"Ok,now can we sleep? I am tired from crying and just revisiting all those memories" Taehyung said as he buried his face more into Jeongguk's chest. Laying on the bed,cuddling ever since.

"Yes,Let me just-" He put his arm under Taehyung's head and pulled him closer to his body with his other arm on Taehyung's waist. The other was curled up like a ball,With Jeongguk's arms all around him.

He loved his cologne so much,he smelled so good and the warm feeling just made him more sleepy. "-ok now. Goodnight,baby" Jeongguk kissed his head and Taehyung chuckled,closing his eyes drifting to sleep.

I really hope this isn't boring for you guys. I am really trying to make this plot interesting but now I am second guessing myself because technically we are almost halfway through. Almost not yet but if its boring then let me know so I can make few changes. Reminder this is slow burn so don't keep your hopes up for good things too soon.
